“I was very impressed by the service. I tried the green beans based on other reviews and it did not disappoint. The Orange rabbit was not bad but did not have much flavor in my opinion. Much less than I expected. Our server recommended the Daikon Fritters and those were very good and very filling as well. Overall I would come here again. definitely a nice intimate spot for a date.“

“This place is great! I got the spicy beef noodle soup and my wife got the scallop and pork soup dumplings and pan-friend pork buns and everything was very much to our liking. The broth was good, the pork buns were perfectly crispy on the outside and nice and qq on the inside, and the soup dumplings were CRAZY savory. I have no idea how they got the dumplings to be a punch of umami, but they did it!

The prices weren't crazy and the service was attentive but not overbearing. We also got the classic milk tea with boba and a mango-pineapple refresher and those were both good as well, though the food I think was better. Also, the menu recommended 50% sweet but we thought that even the 75% wasn't too sweet and the 50% on my refresher felt a little low.“

“What a fantastic restaurant this is! Visiting from Chicago and this is a great venue! Upbeat and stylish are the keys to this establishment. Jai Jai was an awesome server explaining all the details of what the restaurant offers! Everything came out timely, piping hot and tasty! Definitely worth another visit if we are in DC. Tried the signature Pork chop fried rice, braised beef ramen and the dumpling sampler. And ended with the other signature dessert, cheesecake topped with fortune cookies and crumbs. The wonton soup was delicious and steaming hot, the sesame balls great and the kids loved their crispy spring rolls. They do serve everything on disposable plates/cutlery which have earned them a few 1 star reviews. But the food was great - and inexpensive.“

“Fantastic business lunch at NiHao! Had a group of four and we were thoroughly impressed by both the food and the efficiency. Every dish we ordered - from the salt and pepper shrimp to the beef chow fun - was fresh, full of flavor, and enough for leftovers. It is great to find a lunch spot that is quick, and reasonably priced.

Our waiter, Scott made the experience seamless. He was on top of everything, guiding us through the menu, keeping our water filled, and clearing dishes quickly so we could focus on our meeting - we were worried that we ordered too much but Scott told us that his mom says “If you go to a Chinese restaurant and don’t have leftovers, you didn’t order enough”. I feel like you could bring friends and family to this restaurant and just have shareable as the plate seem pretty large. I did bring my six month old baby and our stroller which I wouldn’t do again lol it’s pretty tight in there, but it was still enjoyable. They have a lot of fun drinks that atmosphere feels really cool when you go after 4:00 PM. The staff is really nice and I can tell each item you order is being made fresh. It took about 20 minutes to get my food. I will say the restaurant was busy inside and out and like I said it’s pretty small so they were moving as fast as they could and I wasn’t in a rush. At first, I thought this was going to be fast casual, but it’s really like a cocktail bar with really yummy food. Giving you still that restaurant experience. I wasn’t expecting it to be in College Park so happy I found it. Definitely get the fried dumplings. They were out of this world. And technically I ordered the dish that’s called spicy pork broth, but I didn’t get it spicy because I shared it with my six month old who also absolutely loved it.
I also got two drinks. They were delicious cocktails I got one called Berry Bizz (which is a sweet high ball drink), and the one pictured which is technically called citrus something but instead of orange juice, I asked them to fill it up with cranberry juice. Overall, I would say I wouldn’t bring more than one baby lol, I wouldn’t bring a stroller, and I would definitely use this as a fun cocktail night for a date night, with your bestie, or with your family. Also, my bill was high, but if you remove my drinks, you could go there and technically spend $10-$20.“

It is recently under new management and the way some items are prepared has changed, but still very tasty -- just a new twist on an old favorite. The one thing the new management needs is someone who knows their way around a bar. The people there this week had a very limited range of knowledge about drinks (gin on the rocks got a blank look), but once you explained they happily made a very acceptable drink.“

“Authentic, no-frills, all-flavor DC carry-out food, with fried chicken wings, original-style DC mambo sauce, fried rice with plenty of onions and bean sprouts, french fries made as you ask with salt, pepper, ketchup, a steak and cheese with seasoned meat and plenty of fillings, I prefer getting it with everything and hot peppers, and it was the nostalgic, savory taste I'd been looking for since loving in DC and moving to VA 10 years ago. This spot has great food. Make sure you have Zelle or cash, they don't take credit cards and there's an ATM inside.
I got a half steak and cheese woth everything on it plus hot peppers, an order of French fries with salt, pepper, ketchup, and 3 wings with fried rice with mambo sauce on everything. Plus I got an extra container of mambo sauce for dipping. It was less than $20. Wait time was maybe 10 minutes.“

I'm not a Chinese food connoisseur but this meets my test for good weekend comfort food with reasonable prices and good portions. It's a cute chill restaurant. There is a bar setup. We sat at a small table in the dining area. The food was absolutely delicious. My husband said he hates that if he has the dish anywhere else it won't be as good 🤭. He's not wrong. It was some of the best general tso chicken I've had as well as the beef & broccoli. The broccoli was cooked but still had a nice crunch. The meat for both dishes were fresh and for the chicken there was more chicken than breading which is hard to come by at places. We will definitely be back the next time we're in town.“
