“I have been here several times and each time have been happy with the food. Tried many different items on the menu and they all were tasty. My main reason for writing this review isn’t for the food though, it’s about my last experience at the restaurant. I stopped there with my daughter this past weekend. It was literally 100 degrees that day and after we ordered a man walked through the door about to pass out from heat exhaustion. He was clearly down on his luck. The lady who worked their acknowledged the gentlemen when he walked in and ask was he ok. He responded yes he was ok but wanted to get out of the heat for a few minutes and was it ok if sat down for a few minutes. She responded yes and gave him ice water. She then asked if he was hungry and the man said yes but he didn’t have any money right now. She told him that she would buy him a pizza and not to worry about paying her back. As I sat and ate while watching their interaction, it filled my heart with joy watching the compassion being shown to a complete stranger. I will for ever be a fan of this place as long as that lady is still working there!“

“This place is THE BEST. I love coming here, the staff is so friendly, the food is delicious and I just love the smoothies. They're so refreshing and not that expensive. I was able to sit in a comfortable area surrounded by good vibes and hard workers. I got a Flatbread and sunrise sunset smoothie.“

“Incredible. I've been twice and it has been incredible both times. The second time I went I wasn't feeling well (unrelated to Mita obviously) and about halfway thru I couldn't keep going with the tasting menu and they were EXTREMELY accommodating and professional. The food is the most delicious food in the world and the staff is so high level good at their jobs. You can only love this place.“

“We visited DC this weekend from NC. I went to DC Vegan with my non-vegan husband. Two days later he's still raving about the chick'n cutlet club. He said it was the best "chicken" sandwich he ever had and I can't convince him it was actually vegan 😆 Well done friends 👏👏 I had the artichoke bowl which was fantastic and the cheesecake is to die for! Wish we could have stayed in DC longer as I would have loved to try the other menu items.“

“Amazing! The sushi tasting menu was exceptional and filling! Delicious and whimsical cocktails. Bar in the back, very hip and chic workout being pretentious. Wagyu beef skewers from the bar was one of the best things I’ve ever had. All the skewers were amazing and the fried chicken and other bar snacks are classic bar foods, but way elevated- can not wait for the rest of the space to open!“

From the time I walked in the door and was greeted by the hostess, from the server, the sommelier, the food, ambiance- everything was perfect. The food was unique, and delicious. (even my non vegan friend loved it) however, the presentation and service is what put the cherry on top. Just a one of a kind dining experience that will be very hard to top.“

“Went to Kitchen +Kocktails for the first time last night. The decor was very nice, and the music was good and not obnoxious. Our server Ally was terrific! I’m not a drinker, so when I asked her if there were any cocktails that didn’t taste like alcohol, I thought she would look at me like I was crazy, but she didn’t! She seemed to know exactly what I was talking about and immediately had a couple of suggestions. I went with the mixed berry lemon drop and it was perfect for me. The crab cake appetizers and shrimp and grits with lobster tail entree were amazing. We had a great time and we’ll be back!“

“Honestly thee best raw vegan food I have ever tasted . My favorite right now is the Live burger entree with arugula salad and plantains. For dessert I love their doughnuts OMG so delicious . Anything you try is mouthwatering and absolutely amazing. You can taste the love they put into the food . I travel and hour from Baltimore to Cane &Coconut . “We had an early dinner before attending a performance at the Ford’s Theater. We made reservations through Open Table and were immediately seated upon arrival. The service was great. Our server recommended several dishes that we loved. There were abundant vegan and vegetarian options. Chilorio de Res tacos were mouthwatering as were the Hongos en Milto ones. In fact, every dish we ordered was delicious. One dish (chilaquiles) never arrived from the kitchen but we were pressed for time so we opted to have it taken off our bill instead of waiting for them to prepare it separately. Dessert, Cafe de Olla, was phenomenal. Pics are only some of the items we tried. Great atmosphere for date night and a milestone birthday celebration. Highly recommend.“

“Finding a Filipino restaurant isn’t easy. So learning about Purple Patch thru Jo Koy—has ended this search! Literally, Filipino cuisine heaven! The restaurant is uniquely decorated, the staff were friendly, & the food hit that major comfort button for us! Thank you Zahara for being so sweet & a wonderful waitress. “Very happy we went to Planta for celebrating my daughter's birthday. Everything about this place was amazing. All the dishes were exactly how we imagined. Spicy tuna sushi rolls and General D's Cauliflower were our favorite. 1000-layer crispy potatoes is a must.“

“My girlfriend and I went for her birthday and they already had a card prepared for her when we got there because I selected birthday under the event tab in our reservation. We both decided it was the best place either of us had been. I do not write reviews for restaurants but this one deserves it. “I think Old Ebbitt Grill are one of the best grill joints around Washington and they got the most warmed atmosphere and I also enjoyed their service a lot. “The overall experience was amazing, the food was great, and the service was perfect. The only item that I would offer a recommendation on is the kids' menu. It offered only 2 items, leaving most kids without something simple like eggs. The menu offered bacon or French toast, but no eggs, which seemed really interesting. Overall, my food and drinks were great. We would most likely go again in the near future.“

Each day the menu changes, so you could have a favorite every day of the week. And the portions! You can make SEVERAL meals out of one dinner. Is it cheap? NOPE! But something that's good for your body AND soul shouldn't be.“
