“The server, Karen is friendly and helpful. The crab dip is amazing. I live in New Mexico and visit Maryland once or twice a year. The Tavern is a must visit numerous times on each visit. Every time I make sure the crab dip is part of my order.“

“My wife and I visited this restaurant today for the first time. We were impressed by the selection of breakfast items and the taste. Very good! We plan to take friends these this Friday for dinner. Their menu shows a lot of Hispanic foods and a lot of American food items as well. Prices aren’t bad, either.“

“It was the review for me that caught my attention, that’s why it’s very important to rate restaurants on the customer service and the quality of food. Me and my daughter visited yesterday and the wings and fries were delicious, we also tried the Atlantis dog, which is the chili and cheese hotdog. I love the fact the our food was still hot especially our fries were boxed in a brown box container which I love because the fries were still hot and not soggy even when we got home our fries were still not soggy and I love that. “We took a chance to come back after not going for quite awhile. Previously we kept getting the same server and she was clearly not happy with her job. After years of being away we were very happy to see a younger group of servers that were helpful and energetic. Sadly the food was meh. We always used to go for the food and tried to ignore the service. The menu was good but it wasn't as good as usual. We went to brunch at noon so that could explain the quality of the food. Everything seemed dry. Even the sauce on the eggs Benedict was much too thick. I got Risotto and it was good but there was about a quarter cup of oil poured all over it and it became distracting to the dish. We went as a group of four and didn't order cocktails. The bill was about $70 and I find that reasonable but I just wish the food had been better overall. I loved the “new to us” bar area and perhaps we will come back to get some small plates and cocktails. Most likely we won't be back for brunch.“

“Service is amazing! Food was great. I ordered the steak salad and it was delicious, although the steak required 20 chews to swallow. Despite that, it was tender and tasted good. Maybe just sinewy? I'm super picky. Overall a fantastic dining experience. Besides the creepy guy sneezing and snotting next to me at the bar. :). Their prime rib is $70 so I'm definitely trying that as a birthday treat in July.“

“This is such a great find; seasonal food (best quiche ever) and lovely cocktails. Plus really good staff who seemed to care that their guests were happy. It has a lovely patio overlooking the water and lots of tree shade, plus it is super dog friendly. “Yesterday my family was celebrating the 19th anniversary of the adoption of our three sons who are now in their mid-to-late 20's. Viktorija was our server, and she was phenomenal. She was very attentive, lots of fun and engaging, and made our afternoon really enjoyable for all of us. One of the best servers we've had - anywhere. None of us live in the area - it was half way for each of us, coming from PA and/or VA, so sadly we won't get to visit Viktorija more often. But we wanted to recognize her because she should be applauded for her excellent service.“

“A Frederick gem, no doubt. Even before you walk in, the plants and things surrounding the place let you know you're in for a treat. Inside you're greeted by vintage everything... except the menu and people! We had the Chicken Club Tortilla Wrap and it was delicious- far better than wraps elsewhere with its fresh tasty ingredients. They serve coffee here too. Yummy latte served in real cups (not disposable) so you don't feel rushed and you do feel welcomed.Street parking and very close garage across the street. We'll be back! You should check it out.“

“What a delight. We found Thatcher & Rye on Open Table because we were just outside Fredrick and wanted to stop for dinner. We ate outside and had a delightful experience. It was not overly noisy, except for some cars passing by blasting hip-hop out the window. The server was very knowledgeable about the menu and the wine and, only when asked, made excellent suggestions. The food was well above average and an unusual take on standard fare. We'd make a trip back just for the purpose of eating there again.“

“On the way through Thurmont, MD we spotted Bollingers BBQ restaurant and thought we'd check it out! I'm really glad we did. It's a nice family place with lots of locals eating there. My beef brisket was one of the best I ever tasted: melted in my mouth! My grandson felt the same about his grilled cheese. He said the cheese was melted just right and that there was a lot of it.“

“Wonderful Small town restaurant that accomodated 20 of us!Finished a late Fall car cruise at this restaurant for lunch with 20 friends and 15 cars. We had called ahead to let them know and they were ready for us. Our waitress Stephanie was very sweet and efficient.Food portions were scrumptious and HUGE. I did not have it but witnessed the largest omelette I have ever seen in my life.We would go back in a minute!“

“I've only been to JoJo's for their late moght offerings, but it is unmatched for that in the Frederick area. In particular, their chicken tenders, fried pickles, and truffle freas never disappoint. They have an often changing and always satisfying taplist of local craft brews. I come here about once a week.“

All of the decor is plane related and shows lots of history, which makes so much sense because it’s right next to an airport. You see all different types of customers and that’s also really cool. The only snag was that there was a chewing gum on one of the barstools and the gum stuck on my dress, which I was not able to remove. What they do, they do with supreme excellence. Pricing is most fair considering the generosity of the serving sizes; definitely a place to share a plate and not to feel bad about it. The "West of Santa Fe" salad hits the sweet spot of what they are best at; Tex-Mex and California cuisine with an upscale feel. Good selection of craft beers too for happy hour or maybe an early dinner before a Frederick Keys game, as we have done many times in the past. Don't let the business park location and industrial feel fool you. Very obviously the restaurant is run by foodies. One note: sub-optimal place for a business lunch or for (say) senior citizens despite the great accessibility: its austere and thus, loud inside. One can come back here dozens of times and not be bored.“

“I had the pleasure of doing date night with my wife and it was a really pleasant experience. The food was good and we enjoyed ourselves. my wife wanted sushi amd we saw this place and decided to go and the sushi was good. The main dish we ordered took a little while to come out and I ordered Drunken Noodles with shrimp and chicken. My dish only had 3 shrimps which was very shocking so I mentioned and asked the server about it but they made it right and bought me out extra shrimp.“
