βLoved eating here. The restaurant smelled faintly of incense, which was a welcome ambiance. Tables are layed out well so it doesn't feel cramped. The space is nice and bright with beautiful decor. The staff were friendly and very attentive. Service was fast and the food was absolutely delicious! Loved every single thing I ordered:
Sheer chai β this tea had a nice balance of milk and sugar
Mantoo classic β these beef dumplings were full of flavor and served at the right temperature, hot but not too much to burn your mouth
Lamb shank β the sauce was packed with flavor and the meat fell off the bones. It came with rice that was a lovely buttery complement to the lamb
Sheer berenj β had this for dessert and it was very refreshing. It's not milky and the pistachios on top added a nice nutty flavor to the rice pudding
Green tea with cardamom β nice way to end dinnerβ

βFun bar to chill and hang out with friends, or meet new ones. There are 3 pool tables and more than 6 screens. There is even a pull down screen when they have video games. The pool tables are 7 foot bar tables and well felted. You pay with a card on the table and itβs about $2 a rack. The vibe is good with various music and neon lights. Very Instagramable if you like taking photos with neon and fake plant walls. There is bar seating and seating at tables. There is no food at the Toro Bar so bring your own.
Toro always has sports on TV and drink specials. They have a beer and shot special and other mixed drinks. Donβt expect a world class cocktail, but expect a fun night and good people. This is a good neighborhood bar in Columbia Heights and Uptown. A short 10 minute walk from the Petworth Metro station. Itβs right on 14th Street NW and off the bus line too. There is street parking in front.
Parking: There is street parking on 14th Street and the side streets. You have to have a permit on some streets.β

βClosest thing to authentic Texas style bbq in the DMV area. I had the opportunity to try most of the menu. Hereβs what I ate.
β’Smoked Spicy Sausage- Good. spice hits afterwards.
β’Smoked sausage- nice hickory flavored.
β’Prime Brisket- moist! Simple seasoning. Nice smoke ring and very tender.
β’Spare Ribs- the seasoning makes it flavorful. Tender.
β’Dino Ribs- Massive! This can be a meal by itself.
β’Smoked Turkey- Tender and juicy. Bland in flavor.
β’Mac & Cheese- I had low expectations but they beyond exceed them. Nice, creamy, cheesy and seasoned well.
β’Brisket Beans- This has a kick to it due to the jalapeΓ±os. Too soupy for my liking.
β’Roasted Veggies (red onion, Brussels sprouts, tomatoes) - Good.
β’Potato Salad (mustard based)- Heavy mustard taste but itβs advertised as mustard based. Lack spices.
β’Cornbread- good
β’Smoked Cheese Ball- Interesting concept. Not bad.
β’Banana Pudding- Good.
4.4 out 5 stars. Amazing customer service for a casual dining experience. Staff checks in frequently with diners to ensure theyβre enjoying the meal.
Vegetarian options: Roasted veggies maybe the only thing close to vegetarian to vegan.
Kid-friendliness: Yes. Infants to adolescents are welcome here.
Wheelchair accessibility: Limited. Easy for outdoor dining but indoor dining is tight for wheelchair access and the picnic tables and hightop tables make it hard for individuals to dine at.β

βIt was nice and the food was an 8/10. They steak was too thin, not the cut, but it wasn't bad taste-wise. It was way too loud tho. I've been to β Relais De l'entrecoteβ in Geneva and Paris... I was expecting the same vibe but definitely did not get that. And the fries were a 5/10.. Not fresh and kinda burntβ

Most places in DC donβt honor the true spirit of bottomless drinks but that is not the case here. Our server kept the drinks flowing and they were all delicious. So was the food.
10/10 experience, amazing bang for your buck, and overall an excellent way to kick off the weekend.β

βDonβt let Atxondoβs modest looks deceive you. I was skeptical but some friends wanted to try this place so I went along. I was very pleasantly surprised. We ate vegetarian and everything was excellent. I can recommend the brussel sprouts, tortilla espaΓ±ola, crispy potatoes, coliflor, golden beets, fried shishitos, and risotto. βA friend of mine recommended to try Indian express and boy was he right! I dined in, Kumar was on top of me explaining the food and always checking up. Their shrimp Biryani Was fantastic . Reasonably priced, spiced and delicious. Great customer service. Bring cash if youβd like a 10% discount off. I am looking forward to their buffet in the future. Definitely recommend to anyone!
