Everything is cooked a la minute, meaning the proteins and veggies on your dish will have at most 10min in the wok, so if it's a little bland, make sure to coat it in its sauce, which will have most of the salt.I hope they don't give in and overly salt their dishes just like every other restaurant out there.“

“For some reason people keep having bad experiences with Kenny's, but I had/have good times with them. We don't go inside the restaurant but we order over the phone. My favorite dish from Kenny's is a steak and cheese combo with fries and a ginger ale. Sometimes it does take a long time to get here but, it's worth the wait. The food is very good! I like the way they make the fries and the steak and cheese sub. The fries have a perfect amount of salt and the sub is by far the best thing ever! It has a great taste because they do good seasonings! And they know my family because we order there all the time! Overall, the best Chinese restaurant ever!“

“You know you’re going to have good food when the servers get excited about your menu decisions. Everything was absolutely wonderful. We got to sit at the bar with a direct view of the kitchen. I don’t know if the octopus or the truffle dumpling was my favorite, but I know I’m getting both when I go back. The whole fried snapper had a delicious light breading. The duck noodles were tasty too; I will probably try to get it spicier next time. I’ll likely be back in a couple of weeks. I’m still thinking about the food. “Food is amazing. My husband and I left with a full stomach. We got the combo for 2. It came with 2 rice bowls and 2 side dishes. We picked spicy flavor for our soup, fish and beef as proteins, and bean curd sticks and king oyster mushroom as toppings. For the 2 side dishes, we chose fried pork belly and housemade sticky rice cake. The flavor of the soup is bursting with flavor and put a smile on my face. Everything was delicious and I can't wait to come back. I will be dreaming of that delicious rice cake dipped in brown sugar syrup.

“Great food, great service, great atmosphere. However, its strange this place has many names, including this secret one thats not found anywhere that I can see on the signs! This place in chinese is 老地方, pronounced Lao Di Fang (translate in English to The Usual Hangout); it's also advertised as East Grill Karaoke and East Dumpling House. Whatever you call it, it's the perfect hangout spot after dark, with terrific food, atmosphere, and music. Get that sexy night club feeling on and come on down!

“New restaurant with new owner. First-time customer. Ordered their lunch special. I asked for fried rice. You can tell an excellent by the fried rice. Surprisingly, the fried rice was top tier. Excellent fried rice comes with each rice grain freely separated from each other. Bad ones are ones that clump together like clay, wet n oily. I had the lunch special sit in the container for at least an hour, but it was still free and not clumpy. The dish was tasty as well. A real surprise. Real value to add soup with $1. But the hot n sour soup was lacking ingredients and was too watery for me. Hope it gets to keep its excellent chef n quality. There is no good fried rice around here. This one is a gem.

“Based this experience, I can only give a 'reluctant' 4-stars *only* because the ingredients used were really fresh. Past Peter Chang visits at other locations seem like the entrees were created for tourists and this theme seems to have permeated to this location as well. It's been a mystery on what the Peter Chang created cuisine is meant to celebrate since the Chinese entrees carry marketed Sichuan or Chengdu flavors that are very muted, lackluster, and just brand-name expensive.

What is carrying the 4-star is the use of very fresh ingredients which is an absolute must if a restaurant wants to survive in this super-affluent McLean neighborhood; otherwise, I would have assigned a 3-star rating. We ordered the Dry-spicy combo hot pot, Chengdu seafood with crispy rice, Dragon eggplang with garlic sauce, and Amish duck bone soup with pickled radish.

What made dinner enjoyable? ..... the highly considerate staff. Again, good staff service would be a must in this affluent McLean neighborhood. Other than fresh ingredients and considerate service, I can pass on visiting Peter Chang moving forward.

Why pass on Peter Chang for me? We ordered the most Sichuan/Chengu spicy entree and nothing was ma-la/chengdu/sichuan spicy at all (this was the biggest let down of the entire dinner). The eggplant was cloyingly, aggressively too sweet. The Amish duck soup was supremely salty. And the Chengdu seafood entree was only adequate. Now the plating is another awkward story. The plating for all dishes were not practical at all and the spoon utensil seems more for show than ladling any liquid at the bottom of the bowl or plate. The dry hot pot swiveled like a gryoscope whenever you are mixing ingredients to prevent burnt food at the bottom. The huge bowl for the Chengdu seafood had such a small base, it could tip at any moment. Come to think of it, the plating and dishware seem to be prioritized higher than the flavor of the food. On top of all this, the price for each entree is nose-bleed high for the lack of authenticity in the entree recipes. To add insult to injury, each bowl of white rice was billed separately and didn't come with ordered entrees.“
