“The crab cakes lacked seasoning. Same for the cream of crab soup. The French onion soup was too salty, while not unusual, it wasn't expected for this level of restaurant. Our wait staff was excellent. And the atmosphere is also excellent. It was our first time for dinner. We'd been numerous times for lunch and will limit ourselves to lunch in the future.“

“THE SOUP IS SO GOOD OMG. I am a big soup lover, and I am chronically disappointed in soups all across different restaurants because they're never as rich, full flavored, or filling as you want them to be, unless it's French onion soup (and at that point it's just bread and cheese, c'mon).
We went for lunch and I had their Chicken Poblano soup, ready to like it alright, and I cleaned my bowl. The soup was so perfectly seasoned, hearty, and exactly what you want out of a bowl of soup. My companion had the chicken salad sandwich, ALSO AMAZING.
They are a typical small business so it's a small operation in a small space, charmingly decorated and very clean and classic.
Their menu is small, and that's because everything they make is made to perfection. If you want the soup that you'll be trying to recreate for years to come (or that you'll pick up once a week because if you're like me you can't recreate a recipe to save your life), this is the place to go.“

“Great service, quality food and European atmosphere! We love it here!“
“Our expectations for a culinary arts program were medium to high; however, given that it was a learning experience for the kitchen and front-of-house staff, there would probably be some room for improvement. The menu offered a variety of entree choices, including pork chop, pasta primavera, chicken, and salmon. We were instructed by the hostess that each person at our table should order a different entree to make it easier for the kitchen staff. The server provided little explanation about the menu choices and preparation. When the entrees were delivered, however, confusion ensued when the servers presented the dishes to each diner incorrectly. Wine was ordered, and the pours were not consistent in each glass, probably about 4 oz. or less each. The entrees were expertly prepared with flavorful sauces and seasonings; however, the table received little attention during the meal. We all agreed that the food quality and tastiness of the food were excellent, but the dining experience would have been outstanding if the service had been at a higher level.“

“Mike L was our server and we had an absolute 10/10 experience. Mike was so attentive to our table, and was so personable. Our food was fantastic as well, from apps to entrees, to desert. I cannot wait to go back, and Mike needs a raise!!“

“I held my son a surprise 18th birthday party for my son at Belles. It was a small party but it was perfect for what we had. It is a cozy home town vibe. The young ladies that took care of us was great and is much appreciated, they went above and beyond for us. Of course they were strict with valid ID's for young people 18 and up for anyone thinking about having a party there. Anyways our over all experience was great. Thank you so much to Pam the owner for orchestrating with me through email to to this for my son and the girls that took care of us. I would def come back on a regular night. Thank you so much Sheri and Romel Kellman“

“Visiting the area for the zoo ! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warm smiles and the comforting aroma of fresh spices. I had the Thai salmon over veggies (spicy) with rice — perfectly cooked, flaky, and bursting with flavor. The crab wagons were crispy and addictive, the shrimp tempura light and golden, and the Neptune Feast, with its lightly sauced veggies and crab meat, shrimp, and scallops was absolute perfection. Every bite was fresh, vibrant, and beautifully balanced. Service was quick and friendly, and the cozy atmosphere made the whole experience even better. A must-visit for anyone who loves exceptional Asian cuisine!“

“Long post ahead, warning! I walked in around 9 pm and the hostess didn't bat an eye at my dining alone, and didn't say anything about it, which I appreciate. I was seated right away with no problems and immediately got a chance to look over the menu. I will admit, it took a little bit longer than expected for my waiter to come over, but as a lone diner I sort of expected that. I looked like I was waiting for someone, I'm sure. The look and feel of the place was very upscale, but they didn't have any problems with me walking in wearing a nerdy t-shirt. I was seated in this cute little booth for 2 with curtains on the side so, if I wanted a more private dinner, I could have it. It was a cute touch! The restaurant also offered patio dining and since it's by the creek, that would have been a downright charming experience were it not the usual Maryland summer. Despite having a bar, the restaurant was respectably quiet and low-key, making it an easy dining experience. I wasn't in the mood for something wild, and this place really hit the nail on the head. My first waiter Kevin, however, was the picture of polite helpfulness. He answered all of my questions, made some wonderful suggestions, and was incredibly pleasant to talk to. I was delighted to find out that this place takes part in DC restaurant week, so I was able to take part in that promotion. Under a suggestion from Kevin, I ordered a glass of their moscato (I wanted something light and sweet), and the wine was so good I brought home a whole bottle. Not really on them, but it does reflect their excellent selection. Dinner itself was delicious. The red pepper soup was refreshing and flavorful, without being too filling. The steak I ordered was cooked to perfection and was flavored in the perfect way to make the actual flavor of the meat shine. The potatoes were both light and fluffy, but also had the little chunks of potato that I prefer in my mashed. The best part was desert. About halfway through my appetizer, Kevin introduced my other waiter, Maddy, who took over after he went home. She was as much of a delight as he was, and made possibly the best recommendation of the night. Desert was this blackberry tart that I did not have room for but could not put down. Gooey and crumbly all at once, with a warm center that was almost caramel-y even though it was fruit based. Topped with a light cream to balance it all out, it was absolutely delicious. I will be thinking of that tart all day tomorrow. The prices on the menu were a little high, but I wouldn't go so far to say they were unreasonable. If I had wanted a cheaper option, I could have gone to any chain restaurant ever. In the grand scheme of downtown Frederick, with it's many small businesses and one of a kind dining experiences, I think this was reasonable. For reference, a lot of meals were between $20 and $30, but a good steak is almost always $30+. Despite the price, I had an exceptional dining experience, and would 100% recommend this place to anyone looking for upscale dining, without the upscale requirements.“

“I just celebrated my 64th birthday at Red Lobster in Frederick and absolutely loved it. The food was great, and the waiter was exceptional. I spent my day trying to decide where I wanted to go to celebrate and decided on Red Lobster just before leaving out to go to Texas Roadhouse. On the way home we all decided Red Lobster was a great pick. I recommend that you try it also.“

“Fire & Oak Culinary Tavern is a great spot to grab a drink and some food. What I enjoyed most about this place is they offered more than your typical deep fried appetizers. We ended up getting the brussel sprouts and they did not disappoint. It was a tough choice because many of the appetizers sounded great. My wife got the Ahi Tuna salad and was pleased, but noted there was just a smidge too much dressing. I ordered the fish and chips and the filet of haddock that they served was humongous. I wasn't a huge fan that the breading was made from Ritz, it doesn't give that crispy crunchy texture that you'd get from a properly crafted beer batter. However, it was still very tasty and the fish was cooked perfectly. Overall this is a great place to stop for happy hour and get some serious bang for your buck.“

“We have gone a few times and always the food was amazing. My son always ask to go here. We went yesterday and the food was amazing as always except for one of the desserts that was very watery. The only thing we didn’t like was the service this time. The lady seems upset and didn’t seem to want to serve us. I even asked for which pie flavor was the best and her response was I don’t eat pie. Very sad this happened because its an amazing place. They just loss a customer.“

“As four guests visiting for the first time, we all thought the food was great. Service was slow to order a beer and desert was almost cancelled because of time and the glazing did not arrive with one of the deserts and getting a side cup never arrived. The waitress was new and very helpful and will get better with experience. The only disappointment was their Military Discount? They only allow 10% for "active" Military making one feel that veterans just don't qualify? And the 10% you receive is only on the members main meal. So for a $60.61 meal the discount was $1.49? I give the discount I receive back to the wait staff and left a $15.00 tip.“

“We went to the Longhorn steakhouse in frederick maryland this past Sunday. We got some pretty basic meals but everything was pretty good. Most of our group got chicken tenders and they were good with plenty of dipping sauce. However, the service was the highlight of our visit. I don't remember our servers name but he was fantastic. He was patient with our kiddos and treated them kindly. He made sure we had refills on our drinks and was just a really great server.“

“The go-to breakfast place for my family and I. Plenty on the menu to choose from, and the food is just that homestyle goodness that always hits the spot. Prices are very reasonable, cozy atmosphere that celebrates our military.
The next time you're ready for breakfast out, come visit TOTR (and then come back here and tell me how right I am)!“
