So I went to Mesa Groves instead due to their app said they had some and I didn't want to return to Mesa Grand after what they did. And the cocktails. Here I'm just going to shake my head because words are failing me a little - you know how craft spots have gotten a little too smug and overcomplicated, and you can feel that, sometimes you just want perfectly simple but simply perfect? Espiritu threads the needle. They're all delicious and balanced but not overblown. Spectacular. And all in a room where the servers lean in and chat about the menu, but shrug amiably if half your table is running late - zero tension, zero pretense here. It is a place you will wish you lived down the block from because you'll feel perfectly at home, but there's still the pageantry of the whole crispy-crunchy pescado swimming in its pool of aguachile to think about, or the light as air pappadum-like tostada base under that steehead trout rillette thing that is so much better than they way anyone else does it. And don't sleep on dessert-! The carlota di limon is a jawdropper. You only think you've had good key lime pie before this; Espiritu sticks the landing.”

My favorite dish is Cau Cau, and I’ve only ever had my grandma’s recipe. I decided to take a chance and order it here, and it absolutely blew my mind. The owner was incredibly friendly and even gave my son a free scoop of ice cream while he watched the cooks in the back “make fire” on the grill.
My son is autistic, and it’s usually very difficult to get him to eat red meat, but he didn’t hesitate at all with the meat in the lomo saltado, which is how we know he loved the food too.
They brought the food directly to our table, even though they could have simply called out the order from the counter. Instead, they took the time to walk it from behind the counter, through the kitchen, and over to our table. The service was outstanding, and the food was phenomenal. We will definitely be coming back.”

“We love coming to this IHOP on Higley and Brown Rd. Maria and Eva are always such wonderful servers to our family and all of our kids. When we cannot make it into the restaurant, we usually order on UberEats or DoorDash.
One morning, when several of my kids’ friends were over, we placed a delivery order and a couple of items ended up missing. Here is where the above and beyond service began. I received an email from UberEats asking if the order was accurate, so I reported the issue. UberEats then told me there was nothing they could do about it.
I decided to call the restaurant directly, and the manager, Chris, immediately knew which order it was. He explained that he himself had notified UberEats that part of the order had been forgotten, but the driver refused to come back for it. In the past, other restaurants have simply told us to pick up the missing items if we wanted them.
Not Chris. He hand delivered the missing items to our home and even offered two complimentary entrees for the next time we visited. When we returned the following week, the team honored that promise without hesitation.
What a great place. We were and continue to be grateful for this level of care. Truly above and beyond customer service.”

“My 11 year old son and I stopped in for some sushi tonight and I must say. I've never been so mistreated by a place of business in my entire life. Food was just ok. Nothing special. I ordered 10 piece sashimi, 2 rolls, stuffed jalapeños, miso soup and a sculpin ipa. The girl didn't know what sculpin was and asked for me to point it out on the menu so I did. Our food started coming out and 4 of the 5 items were already on the table and my son and I were starting to get full. The waitress hadn't brought my beer yet and I stopped her and reminded her I hadn't gotten the beer I ordered and I no longer wanted it since we were already pretty far along into our dinner. After I mention this she quickly hurrys to the bar and brings the beer apologizing for the delay. I tell her like I said I no longer wanted it so she took it away. Later when she brings the check the beer that I didn't receive and said I no longer wanted was still on the check. I asked her to please remove it. The owner comes over and in an agitated and aggressive manner asks if there is a problem wirh the bill. I told him yes the beer needed to be removed. He says no he will not remove it since it was already poured. He walks over to bar and brings it back and says here is your beer you need to pay for it. I explained to him how I received it after I had gotten most of my food and no longer wanted it but he refused. He was beyond rude and unreasonable. Most restaurants would take back a beer even if you take a drink and don't like it, I didn't get my beer until I was done with 50% of my food and didn't want it anymore! I mentioned something about his poor customer service and how it's no surprise the place is empty with no customers. The guy gets really heated and demands j pay for the drink. I got up and told my son let's go and the owner begins to assault me pushing me in the shoulder to back me up. 3 of his staff and my son witnessed this. He then stood in front of the doors and would not let us exit until I signed the credit card slip. I went back to the table and signed it "F You" and he let us out but after he read the signature the owner ran outside the store threatening me and getting into my face while calling the cops. His staff even thought he was crazy and were begging me to sign it and they offered to reimburse me $5 cash for the beer. They said their boss was having a bad day. The staff even agreed that the beer came out late which should not have been problem to have it removed. I ended up scribbling something on another copy of the credit card receipt and he finally allowed us to walk away without harassing us. My son was so scared he was calling 911 himself because of how the owner was assaulting me and up in my face. All this mistreatment over a $5 draft beer. I will never step foot in this place again and I should press charges against the owner for putting his hands on me and assaulting me. He even mentioned he has it all on camera so he can validate himself everything that took place. I read over other reviews for this place and it seems this owner likes to argue and fight rather than take accountability for his and his staffs actions. It's unacceptable for anyone to EVER be treated this way, EVER.”

The fried ravioli appetizer was piping hot and delicious, the wine disappeared quickly (we recommend 19 Crimes - its our new favorite) and the cannolis were the cherry on top of our meal. Parking spaces were available during the lunch hour. Only one other diner but that didn’t stop me. The diner was eating duck and I noticed how good it looked. Not too fatty like some I have had. The place is spacious and clean with friendly staff. After perusing the menu, I decided on Chicken with Chinese greens. I specifically asked for Chinese broccoli aka Gi lan. I heard the lady repeat the order in Chinese to the cook. I looked at the window where several roasted ducks and BBQ pork aka char siu hung. Both looked moist and I made a mental note to get some char siu for hubs next time. The meal was ready quickly, boxed and bagged up to go. Tonight’s meal was delicious. Not oily at all. The chicken was really tender. They used the trademark way of making the chicken tender and plentiful. If you don’t know what I am talking about, just Google it. Most Chinese cooks do this to their wok fried chicken. The gai lan was super crunchy and lots of it. They made the veggie perfectly. One day when I get the yen for duck, I would like to return. Generous portions. All in all, a great experience.”

“A friend of ours told us to try Denny's on Power Rd when we were in town. So we did and we're glad we did. Love the variety on the menu. Service is great. Got to know Julie pretty good. But when we don't get Julie, Tracy, Maria and Tina are great too. I always ask them for their names.”

“Olive Garden is one of my favorite places to eat a lunch or dinner, I always get full, because their bread sticks are so good, and everyone there are so nice.
I've yet tried any item there that did leave me wanting more, thats is how your taste buds are being satisfied. Like I never eat eggplant 🍆 not even at home, but Olive Garden's eggplant is so good it leaves me wanting more.
Another thing I like about Olive Garden is, their restaurants are always clean, including their bathrooms. The staff is always nice and quick to remove used dishes once you have eaten everything off it or pushed it away like to say, I am done, can't eate another bite. They politely ask you if you are done and if you want a carry out box, and if you answer yes, they quickly either bring you a container or remove your dishes.
Even if you don't normally eat Italian food, rest assured you can safely eat almost anything they offer. Like their soops are great, especially the minestrone soop, the salads, both are just vegetables prepared in a way to wake your taste buds up, just for starters. I love their pasta dishes, like their Alfredo sauce pasta dish, or the spaghetti, and meat balls, the red sauce is fixed just right, and it never leaves me with indigestion or heart burn.
The prices are fair, and you get full, ive yet to see anyone who is with me that doesn't get full and ends up taking food home, all for around $20 to $30 dollars each and thats usually after the tip is applied.
You have to try Olive Garden, it like a great chip, except you can't eat there just once, you will leave thinking about when you can return for another meal, so do yourself and your taste buds a favor, have lunch or dinner and find a new favorite place to eat.
I only wish they served breakfast, it would have to be out of this world 🌎 I'm sure.
I also like Olive Garden because they have plenty of tables which makes it easy for those with a physical disability to eat out without having to workout being able to set up close to the table easily, and their entrance are wheelchair accessible so everyone can enjoy and have a good time out.

They lose a star because of the food court. They should lose 2 stars. Some of the food is delicious but some, orders are disgusting tasting. Like the kun pao chicken. Its chicken nuggets in sweet sauce with no vegetables. The portions for the price does not work. The cheap portions of meats and vegetables added to the dishes is disappointing for the restaurant prices they charge. With fresh meat and vegetables next door I am surprised at how cheap they are with the ingredients.”

“Honestly, we came here by accident thinking it was Tumi, but since we were already inside, we decided to give this place a try and I’m so glad we did. We were blown away by how delicious the food was.
My favorite dish is Cau Cau, and I’ve only ever had my grandma’s recipe. I decided to take a chance and order it here, and it absolutely blew my mind. The owner was incredibly friendly and even gave my son a free scoop of ice cream while he watched the cooks in the back “make fire” on the grill.
My son is autistic, and it’s usually very difficult to get him to eat red meat, but he didn’t hesitate at all with the meat in the lomo saltado, which is how we know he loved the food too.
They brought the food directly to our table, even though they could have simply called out the order from the counter. Instead, they took the time to walk it from behind the counter, through the kitchen, and over to our table. The service was outstanding, and the food was phenomenal. We will definitely be coming back.”

“We hit happy hour! We ordered a tonkatsu ramen, golden dragon roll, crab puffs, godzilla roll, deep fried bananas with ice cream, and a tasty ginger side salad came out at the start. My buddy ordered a sake bomber and I had an iced tea.
I'm editing to mark $20-30, just because we ordered a lot of food, too much food for just us even. The prices are very reasonable and would probably normally be in the $10-20 range.

“My mother and I had heard so much about this place on social media that when we were at the Gilbert Famers Market one Saturday morning, we had to check it out. We were both hungry and cinnamon sugar lovers so we decided to order the cinnamon sugar pretzel. The woman taking our order was super friendly and helped us when the card reader wouldn’t read my mom’s chip in her card.
We sat down at a table and dug into the pretzel. It was delicious, to say the least. It was thoroughly coated in sugar, but our only gripe was that we wished there was more cinnamon. Even though the entire pretzel was packed in sugar and cinnamon (and not much of it was falling off either), it looked like there were more white sugar particles than cinnamon particles. But oh well, it was still hot, incredibly soft, and packed with flavor. It was gone within a minute or two haha!
Now, I want to try their other flavors and try out their cheese dipping sauce when I try a savory pretzel option.”

“Amazing! All of the ingredients were so fresh. The flavor combinations were amazing. This felt like real authentic cusine.
I tried a few different tacos (carne castor, chicken, and the fried shrimp) that broth was unlike any other I’ve tried. All of this with a side of rice & beans 10/10. The salsas are also really good. Frozen marg was delish! I can’t forget the freshly made tortillas.
I came with my mom she ordered the chicharones the cheese and seasoning on top of these was elite.
I would definitely come back next time im in phoenix.”

“We had such a great time at Hotpot + Korean BBQ in Mesa, AZ! The menu was super easy to order from, the staff were really friendly and our waitress Trinity :) was helpful throughout the whole meal. I loved that you can add Korean BBQ for just $5 extra — totally worth it! Everything was fresh and fun to cook. We also tried the Tai Bobo drink, which was absolutely delicious! Great experience overall and we can’t wait to come back!”

“We made the drive from across town to try this restaurant after seeing them on Tiktok. Our biggest selling point was that the pink tacos are dye free! After talking with one of the owners, she did confirm she used beets for coloring in her made-from-scratch corn tortillas. She was very friendly and took very good care of us while we were there. The food was absolutely delicious. I was very pleased with the beet salsa as I am allergic to tomatoes. The food was a good portion for the price. We all left satisfied, especially my kids. The biggest down side is that it's hard to find unless you're looking for it. I highly recommend making the effort to find them!”

“Just a little further east of all the other wonderful restaurants on Main Street you’ll find this amazing sushi and Mexican food restaurant. Very clean and inviting atmosphere. Even the bathrooms were amazingly clean! The service was very friendly. But most importantly, the food was amazing! We had tacos and the shrimp burrito…. All were absolutely wonderful, filling, and reasonably priced! The salsa bar is very well stocked with tasty vegetables, salsas, and guacamole! Good choice of Coke products to choose from, and of course a wonderful stock of coke “Hecho en Mexico!” Next time we will try the sushi and we will definitely return for some more wonderful Mexican food!”
