“Ming Sun has the best chicken lo mein! The noodles are perfect, those fried, squiggly noodles instead of the thick, soggy ones some restaurants use. The fresh pea pods and mushrooms make it even better, and the sauce everything is tossed in is absolutely delicious. I honestly crave it every couple of days because it’s that good. It’s consistently delicious every time I order, and it has become a comfort food for me. They do such a great job, and I can’t recommend their chicken lo mein enough!“

The beef cold noodles are one of my favorite dishes in Windsor. The noodles have the perfect chewy texture, and the beef is beautifully braised and full of flavor. You can really tell the food is made with care and tastes just like authentic Chinese food.

I also have to mention their homemade Sichuan chili oil. It’s honestly the most fragrant chili oil I’ve had in Windsor. The owner even gave me a small container to take home, and it was still incredibly aromatic a month later.

“The people at this restaurant are absolutely wonderful! The dining room has been closed since COVID, but the demand for the food is outstanding. When I arrived, the parking lot was full with people picking up their carryout orders. Very well prepared, with very generous portions. Our curry chicken was nice and spicy, and my Singapore noodles were absolutely delicious. We got a quart of each, enough for several meals. Since we have never ordered quarts like this before, I learned something... Pour it into a bigger container, and mix it up, because a large portion of the meat and seafood is at the top of the container.“

“Dined here for dinner; located at the mall, just 7 minutes away from the Hilton Double Tree Hotel. Had the Kung Pow chicken for my main course, and spring rolls for appetizer. The restaurant was pretty empty as it was a the middle of the week. Service was fast. My server Madison was very friendly and polite. She made sure that her customers were satisfied. “I have eaten here several times over the last few years, the food is always fresh, hot, and the portions are HUGE. The place is a "mom and pop". it's ran by the owners, a husband-and-wife team. Because it's just the two of them when it gets busy it takes them awhile to answer the phone and there could be as much as a 30–45-minute wait for your food. It's also carry out only. If you don't mind the no dine in option or the wait, this will probably be one of the best Chinese food places you have eaten at in the downriver area.“

“We have dined for breakfast on various occasions. The tastes of the foods was amazing. The presentation of the plates was breath taking, absolutely beautiful. The only shortfall we found in the restaurant was the BLINDING sun on the East side windows. A good set of adjustable blinds would be a welcomed addition on those East side windows. All in all, the food was so good and so hot, the presentation was beautifully displayed and the staff were friendly and well experienced. We will come back and recommend restaurant to others.“

“I have been a customer and have enjoyed delicious meals since it opened in 1985. We had moved away 20 years ago and whenever we came back to visit we would try to go to Shin Shin whenever possible. Staff have always been very friendly and I can honestly say I have never been disappointed in a meal. Last night my husband and I had a dinner date there. We were not disappointed. Got an order of shrimp fried rice and sesame chicken the first meal I get from any and every Chinese restaurant I ever go to anywhere across the country and as a truck driver trust me I done been to a lot. This place brings dishonor to Asian American establishments of all kinds. I've never had bad shrimp fried rice till now HOW do you even accomplish that? Make the rice, cook the shrimp, mix them. Idk what the 5 star reviews was eating but it wasn't this. My wife says the egg rolls are decent but I'm kind of scared. Hopefully the fortune cookie isn't a taste bud disaster.“

Food is definitely cooked incredibly fresh, our food was piping hot. I got the feeling that is was a local spot, many people came in and out to order or pickup while we were in there. Only 2 things could have made this better, air as that kitchen definitely puts off a lot of heat and a table that was level, but to be fair it’s definitely not a place sit down to eat, more of a takeout spot.“

Surprised when eating inside no plates or silverware. Everything brought out in to go containers that's okay. Absolutely fantastic Delicious Scallion Pancakes not found in many places. The quart of Spot packed full was good except broth zero flavor like water. Chicken Egg Foo Young nothing like ever had weird crunchy patties with very small amount of gravy. The very good Rice and a mega amount. Egg Roll spot on Wonderful. The bad absolutely worse ever Pupu Platter Chicken Wings dry, Crab Rangoon Yuk, Shrimp heavy batter couldn't taste Shrimp. Ribs just ok, Spring Rolls a winner and what they call Teriyaki Beef I know as Balamaki was great. I'm willing to give them another chance to change my 3 star rating. Great effort by cook just not up to par with dozen other Chinese restaurants in the area.“

“Great service even though my order was towards the end of the nights closing time. I called in a dine-out order and when I arrived party of my order was dropped fresh so it would be hot. No find in capability. I appreciated the extra touch of the space heater at your feet at the counter as it's cold season. Free Oriental style hush puppies were a surprise and tasted good. Egg rolls were fine more cabbage than bean sprouts and tasted good. Our shrimp fried rice was fresh and full of decent sized clean shrimp. The general sao chicken was decent it contained all cuts of chicken white and dark meat, I'm accustomed to all chicken breast so it was different but the sauce great. It was my first time there and I would return. I have no complaints. Thanks for your kind service that's a lost art in customer service lately“
