“I had their food when it was catered for a work event. Absolutely phenomenal!!! I went back today to order on my own. I got the ribeye sandwich. mac n cheese and loaded chips.Sandwich -- AMAZING!!! Small, but also a decent piece of steak, so you kind of have to expect that. I'd definitely order it again!!!Loaded chips -- not so good. See pic.Mac n cheese -- just ok. I'm really, really picky about Mac n cheese. My fav is whalburgers. Most people will love this! Can't wait to go back and try other things. Have to say.. the owner is just a delightful person and the product is VERY good. Try the green goddess dressing. You won't regret it!!!“

“A really good coincidence to come to Minneapolis for work and have the chance to try a place that was high on my bucket list of North America places to dine at. We will get to the food, that on its own deserves a visit, but takes a place to history and the philosophy of this restaurant, created as a full-service Indigenous restaurants that cooks only with decolonized ingredients - an amazing concept, a delicious experience, but above all a reminder these are occupied lands, with a year of abuse and destruction. As such, incredibly humbling to dine here, and an essential history lesson. The setting is beautiful, overlooking the Mississippi, and the food worth all the hype, and also a lesson on how creative and tasty you can be without wheat flour, cane sugar, or dairy, as examples of staples we constantly use and feel we couldn't live without. Started with the corn chowder, delicious with hints of honey. Then had the elk taco, the highlight of the meal, followed by the very good tartare as well. Finished with the squash custard, prepared with bison fat caramel, and also excellent. Multiple beverage pairings but I highly recommend the different teas.“

“My wife noticed this place from the freeway and decided she wanted to there. It's not the kind of place that attracts my attention. It was quite busy when we got there but by the time we finished the crowd was gone and the placed had quited down. Much to my surprise I found pastrami on the menu, their New York New York Slider. I really wanted something else but there is no way I could pass up the chance to review a pastrami menu item. My impression was that there was way too little pastrami and way too much other stuff. Also the thickness of the bun greatly muted the overall flavor. I get it. Pastrami isn't cheap but if you load up tasteless bread and tasteless sauerkraut all that's left is a hint of pastrami and a name on the menu. When you bite into a pastrami sandwich the taste of pastrami should instantly fill your mouth. If it doesn't your wasting your time. Ill add more pastrami to the two sliders I brought home. I'll give these a 5.5 out of 10. The menu mentioned BBQ sauce but I didn't find any. It doesn't belong on pastrami anyway. A pickle would have been a great help, yellow chilitos peppers even better. A little mustard wouldn't hurt. My wife had a Whiskey and Coke Shaved Beef sandwich which I thought was pretty good. The waitresses was great as were the rest of the staff. I thought the prices were high. I don't mind paying more if what I'm eating turns out to be a flavor bomb. They paid a lot of attention to looks but very little to flavor.“

“I have a ton of food intolerances (nothing anaphylactic) and I rarely eat at restaurants because of it. I was so impressed with their willingness to help me find a meal I could eat! The manager himself stopped by to make sure they had the list of allergies correct before they placed the order. It was one of the best salads I've ever had! I didn't even think to take a picture, but I'll just say it was beautiful. :)Dietary restrictions: Very accommodating. I'm grain free, dairy free, nightshade free, legume free, and cant have most oils except for olive oil.“

“Had a wonderful dinner date here on a Wednesday night. It was still a very busy night for the resturant, meaning there were some tables that were spaced inches apart in the main area and making it loud enough that conversation was occasionally difficult to hear. The food though, was wonderful. We started with a couple of cocktails, the Mamakuna and La Clandestina, both of them were tasty, being fruity and light, in their respective ways. The first food we got was the masa & guacamole along with the corn elote, which go together in a fun mix-n-match way. For mains, we got chicken tinga tostadas and the seared scallops. The chicken tinga was a lot of savory deliciousness without being to heavy and the seared scallops were full of vibrant flavors, and surprisingly spicy with the salsa macha. And of course, we got the churros for dessert. They were fun and tasty, with the dulce de leche and sweetend cream, I definetly favored the cream, but I'm less of a sugar person.I would love to go again, but I think I will wait until the patio is open to get some more elbow room and bring down the noise level.Parking: The parking lot is very small, fewer than a dozen spots. There is plenty of street parking, but it's a busy area.Wheelchair accessibility: There is no curb on entry. The entranceway is pretty tight, it's got a straight hall to the left inside the front door, straight to the front desk. To get into the seating area is a right turn from facing the desk.In the seating area, there is very little room between tables, to the point where some of the tables are literally inches apart. There is a wide through path to the back of the building, where kitchen and restrooms are located. The restrooms are roomy but have low toilets.“

“We held our company Christmas Party at their beautiful restaurant and had such a great time! The staff were so attentive and wonderful to interact with throughout the whole evening! We ordered an array of food and our employees couldn’t stop talking about how fantastic the prime rib and KFC (Korean fried cauliflower) were! The talk around the shop about this event and the delicious food went on for days! We all had such a great experience from start to finish. They made it so easy to plan, set up, host and tear down. We would highly recommend anyone looking to host a party to come here! Now if you are just looking for a bite to eat for a date night or family night out, they also have you covered. No matter what plans you have this is the spot to be! A huge thanks to Lake and Irving for all they did for us and a massive thank you to Chris the chef! That meal was better than we could have ever expected!“

The culinary experience was truly exquisite, with exceptional service and phenomenal dishes!!!! ?? “I got the 60/40 burger rare and chicken tenders with a hot dry rub, and it was cooked to my liking. I also got a Moscow Mule, it was okay, but nothing to write home about.Parking: There's a free parking lot but it doesn't have a lot of stalls. I had to park 2 blocks away and walk over. It wasn't a big deal but it would be less than ideal in the winter.“

“This is just a fantastic place! It's been one of my top places in Minneapolis for at least a decade and never fails to disappoint. It strikes a nice balance of being classic and fresh. With the bonus of having stellar food and service. Somehow I still think it's underrated with all the restaurant opening up. But if you want a top-tier place that never fails to disappoint, hit up the eatery!PS The butterscotch budino continues to be my favorite dessert.“

“Absolutely phenomenal food and experience. Our server Louis was beyond amazing as he took the time to explain the dishes, cocktails, and so much more. Hat's off!Speaking of dishes, the bison tartare was increibly good, but we were blown away by the flavor of the duck ragu in the Torchietti. We had it made gluten-free to accommodate my wife's dietary needs, and the pasta was still delicious! We didn't stop there, adding an order of the pork chop for me and Alaskan halibut for my wife. The flavor profile on the pork chop dish was insanely big, bold, and wonderful. It was such a contrast to the halibut, which was also wonderful but much more delicate. Both were great. We were stuffed. There was no room for dessert, but since we had let it be known we were out celebrating a special event, we were not to leave without a wonderful little celebration treat. It was much appreciated! Our seating was at the Chef's Counter, and it couldn't have been more perfect. It gave us witness to all the incredible work going on in the kitchen as well as all the dishes that were getting prepped. TheDietary restrictions: My wife is gluten-free, and not only do they accommodate this with some of their dishes they go above and beyond to communicate between the waiter and kitchen about the dietary needs. This shows up starting with bread basket modifications, moves into extra tasting bites supplied to us from the head chef, and follows through to all our entrees and special desserts. Phenomenal staff coordination and cooperation.“

“Don't play with them ok!! This gem was a great surprise that served up AMAZING food, OUTSTANDING service and a BEAUTIFUL color concept. We went for lunch and enjoyed every bit of it! Our server was Bobbie he was knowledgeable and had plenty of excellent suggestions for us. Oh and make sure you ask him to tell you a bad dad joke lol The food was plated beautifully and the flavor combos were refreshing and a total party in your mouth. We had the sweet potatoes to share then we each had an entree the Ivy burger and the BLT and finally we shared the brown butter cake. The sweet potatoes were yummy and the sauce went with it so well, burger was so moist it was dripping with juicy flavor after each bite, fries done to perfection ( I love a good fry especially one u can't eat naked without anything), the BLT had a garlic aioli that I loved and a fried green tomato sealed the deal and last but not least that brown butter cake with Marscapone cheese OMG it was sooooooooo good and all the flavors complimented each other. One of the owners Viorica stopped by the table after we were done to introduce herself and chat for a few. I thought that was super sweet!! Overall this place was FABULOUS and I can't wait to bring my husband back to try everything. Great concept, nice location and love the decor ❤️ Thanks for a great lunch!!!!“

“From the moment I reserved for a large group (8) here we were taken care of! 10/10 customer service from booking to finishing our meal. Our waitress even split appetizers on the checks and was perfect for providing the best experience possible.Food was ok, just wish there were more offerings. Very greasy cuban but Brussel sprouts were amazing and had a decent amount. The violet drink was pretty good but others at the table didn't think their drinks were strong/tasted like straight up juice.Vibe was great!“

“Kruse Market is wonderful! We enjoyed the Rainbow Bowl, What’s Wrong with Basic toast, Masala Chai Tea, and Blueberry Hills coffee. All were fantastic! A friend ordered the G.O.A.T. toast (on gluten-free bread) and let me take a nibble - divine! The retail side had a ton of great merch (those basil olives!!! *chef’s kiss!*) that we also stocked up on. And my family was pleasantly surprised to be the recipients of fresh takeout pastries and some Milkjam ice cream! We had such a fantastic time! There are ample outlets for the remote worker, and enough choices to satisfy all kinds of palates and dietary needs. I can’t wait to go back for dinner!“

“This is the finest dining in Minneapolis, hands down. I went in February 2024 and everything was executed with meticulous care. Every single dish was perfectly balanced. There was nothing superfluous, nothing too heavy, nothing too acidic. The wine pairings were well thought out. Also, none of the staff forgot I was a pescatarian at any point. It was also the perfect amount of food. For the quality of the food the prices were extremely reasonable. I have been to most of the fine dining establishments in the Metro and don't think the others, like Travail or Spoon and Stable, which are amazing in their own right, can really compare to Tenant. This is where you bring a true foodie if you want to impress them.“

“This place is truly the only food spot in Minneapolis I crave regularly. I only took 1 star away because 100% of the time I've sat in, they forget my bakery item and then are sold out and can't offer me anything. However, the sesame croissant is to die for so I always take my chances or at least order at the register.“

“Omg this is a must do!!! They have an Italian Giglio feature right now that is just so awesome. We booked a reservation about a month out which you have to do as it books out quick! You do need to pay in advance which I don't love but also makes sense and makes it easier at the end of the night. We were in the upper part of the restaurant and we just had a blast. Not only was the food fabulous, the service is quick, witty and top notch plus they have events and small moments throughout the evening to make it fun. We did trivia during dinner but they also had music playing and interactive food stations. For this feature the mozzarella and cacio e Pepe from the cheese wheels are to die for. I wanted to eat just that for my entire meal! Highly highly recommend.“

“Had dinner at Kona Grill - Minnetonka last night and was pleasantly surprised by their late hours, open till midnight! They even offer a late-night happy hour. The sushi was decent, akin to what you'd expect from a mall location, as it's situated in Ridgedale Center. The service was top-notch - our server was both friendly and attentive. I absolutely loved the atmosphere and the aquariums, adding a unique charm to the dining experience. A solid choice for a late evening out!“

After your introductory drink, they take you to the dining area which is a U shaped are with the kitchen in the center. You get an amazing experience from start to finish with 7 to 11 courses; you won't leave hungry. The wine pairing is carefully selected for a perfect match to each dish. The food is TOP NOTCH. They way the flavors come together in your pallet is really an experience you need to have for yourself.“

““At The Block, the culinary road trip was as delightful as a smooth drive on a set of fresh tires from Suburban Tire Storage (STS).”Starting off, the pork belly appetizer was sweetuptuois - a term we’re coining right now, much like how we at STS coined the most hassle-free tire storage service. The corn fritters were a revelation, flaky and sweet, like the satisfaction of finding the perfect winter tires for that first snowfall. The ground chicken sandwich, masquerading as a burger, was a bit on the dry side, needing a sauce as robust as our tire protection guarantee. The dry rub, however, was as reliable as our delivery service - decent and dependable. The Royal with Cheese? A double burger with a hue as vibrant as our STS logo, reminding us that sometimes, the best things in life are bold and straightforward. The beer selection was as varied as our tire inventory, suitable for a business dinner that doesn’t skimp on quality or value. And the atmosphere? The indoor patio was as inviting as our STS storage facility, especially when Keith graciously opened the windows to merge nature with nurture.“So next time you’re cruising through St. Louis Park, pull over at The Block for a bite. And when it’s time to switch those tires, steer into Suburban Tire Storage - where we treat your wheels like gourmet meals.”“

“This is one of our special occasion places! The food and ambience is always so great. If you have friends visiting from out of town, this is the place you want to take to impress them. We like the bar side, but went for a date night recently and ate on the dinner side. We had an impromptu four course meal that was curated by our server. We took out time and didn't feel rushed. Every server and staff seem to be in a good mood and polite, whether they are bringing you food, cleaning your table, or passing you on your way out. I definitely recommend going about an hour before sunset. PS the setting in the former monk's quarters is beautiful.“

“Came to Char Bar for the first time for happy hour on Saturday with Kim T. Char Bar is a speakeasy on the inside of Butcher & Boar (through the glass doors). We arrived around 4:45 pm on a Saturday and it wasn't too crazy busy, we were one of a handful of tables. The hour menu was pretty good! A good amount of food and drink items ranging between $6-10. I had the Chicken Sammy ($10), Kim had an Arby's style 3 Way Beef & Cheese sando ($17), and we split the Curly Fries ($6). I also ordered two of the non happy hour burgers to go ($8/each). I really liked my sandwich a lot, chicken was perfectly crispy, the slaw was savory and sweet, Polynesian vibes. I would absolutely get it again! Kim liked her sandwich but she said the sauce was too much and soaked the bottom of the bun, the curly fries were fine. I had a dragon tattoo cocktail, serenity pineapple rum cocktail, and a frozen rum & cherry coke slushy. Drinks were boozy but pricey! Loved the menu showing the drinks very cute and visibly pleasing. Update: Butcher Burger ($8) was sensational! It's no Parlour Bar burger but it's sooo good, tasted gourmet and traveled well. Fun fact: the restaurant group over Parlour Bar also owns Char Bar! I liked the pickled onions and the chipotle mayo cheese sauce, good solid burger for a good price!“
“My expectations were probably too high walking in. The food was good, not as outstanding or as interesting as I would have thought. The grilled sea salt oyster on the way in was tasty. They brought us well prepared chicken, some sushi small bite, and other things I can't remember a month later that were enjoyable. The cake was dry and not worth the calories (or cost). The dietary restriction I indicated was missed but they were able to adjust in the moment. The atmosphere was lovely upstairs. We ate in the covered outdoor area at a shared table.“

“I come to and enjoy Brasa consistently enough that I should finally write a review. The short: service is consistently friendly and helpful, food is consistently good, great gluten-free option with (thus far) no cross-contamination incidents, and a very casual atmosphere. All of my friend group have different favorites: the egg sandwich, the pork bowl, the chilaquiles (my personal favorite.) Every protein comes in different forms: a plate, a sandwich, or a bowl. Most options (except the sandwiches and a couple of sides) are gluten-free. Quick run down of what I've tried: * Chilaquiles with red sauce (the GOAT): the red sauce is such a great flavor and pairs well with the smothered chicken. Their pickled jalapenos and an egg on top makes it a perfect weekend lunch dish. * Egg sandwich: the red sauce reappears on this, to great effect once more. Otherwise it's a simple-but-great egg sandwich served with their tortilla chips. * Fish sandwich: not bad, not my favorite. Flavors are not as punchy as the other options I've had. * Mac and cheese: delightful and simple, thick cheese sauce, no complaints. Crispy yuca, fried plantains, sweet cornbread, also all good. Really, the menu is full of great options. Their beverages don't disappoint either, the coffee and tea are very nice quality -- tea always comes out with a great color and flavor (not bitter at all), coffee pleases even the pickiest coffee nerds in my friend group. Also: no tipping, service fees are built into the menu prices.“

“I am from Chicago, but the food and wine in this delightful place was the best Mexican food we have ever had. It was surprising that it was not crowded. The ambience is great, the lights are dim, and it feels cozy. The music however is way too loud. At the bar, it registers on my Apple Watch at around 78-80dB.The cocktails are easily the highlight. I've had a few of the house cocktails and they've all been top tier. They also make the IBA classics extremely well. They're brave enough to offer to put an egg white in the whisky sour and it definitely pays off.“

“The overall experience was great. The prices were all a little bit higher than I'm comfortable with, however the food/service/atmosphere was worth it. The women's restroom was super clean and to dry your hands they had a bin of white hand towels rolled up, like at a spa! Nice final touch. On the website they advise that parking is limited and you might want to carpool. This is helpful advice.
