“Ever since the remodel this location hasn't given me any issue. My food is always ready on time, the staff is very polite and everything tastes good. If you ever had issues at this location in the past, I highly recommend giving it another shot.“

“Great value for the price point. I tend to judge a lot of "generic" Chinese restaurants to be too greasy or salty; but, I don't feel that way with Great Dragon. Certainly, this isn't a high-end fare, but I feel l get what I pay for and a bit more.“

“I thought I had written a review for this place already, oops, my bad. I love, love, love this place! Came here on a weeknight and it was packed. I did not make reservation but we got lucky by snatching two chairs at the bar. It is small inside but worth the wait. The staff was super efficient and friendly, there were two girls and one guy. The guy helped us with drinks and ordering our food. I am so sorry I forgot his name, but you could tell how hardworking they all were. We both ordered Potsticker Duet (highly recommend): *shrimp, Angus beef, chives *tofu mushroom kale *dill pork *kimchi pork My favorite was dill pork, it goes well with old godmother hot sauce. Honestly all the potstickers were amazing and their list of dipping sauce was great too. A female chef (we think she is the owner) came out of the kitchen and asked us how we are doing, and she gave us some kimchi she made the same day for samplings. Everything was delicious and the drinks were top notch, of course I always get my favorite drink, old fashioned with Japanese whiskey. Superb place.“

“Excellent selection of food. If you are going to try it plan to come back. You can get a great lunch/dinner just trying their apps. The szechuan dumplings are amazing. The sauce can be used on the rest of your meal. All the dumplings are amazing.“

“Holy moley, do yourself a favor and eat here. Get the signature noodle soup, it is mindblowingly good. The Mini pork dumplings and scallion pancakes were phenomenal as well, but that noodle soup was out of this world, with flavorful broth and perfectly textured noodles.“

“We have never eaten at a restaurant like Legendary Spice. It was an interesting experience. Our waiter was very helpful directing us through the process. There is seriously so much food. The steamed dumplings and sesame balls were absolutely amazing. I ordered the Mushroom hot pot & my boyfriend ordered the spicy beef pot. His was definitely HOT, so not my thing, but he enjoyed it. You can make nearly unlimited choices in Chinese veggies & meats.“

“I'm not a sushi fan, so I got shrimp pad thai, which was excellent. "Medium" spice was enough for me. My dad got a custom sushi roll that was made perfectly to order, which he really loved. Our server was friendly and very knowledgeable. We'll be back!“

“Compact Viet- Chinese carry out. Along a strip with tight parking, this place is easily missed, but would be a fun addition if you aren't in the mood to cook. Dined in here during lunch, but not really a place to do that. It has a total of about 3 tables. Most of the orders are carry out for a good reason. 12. Special pho. I normally skipped the meatballs and order extra tendon. This broth was very meaty and flavorful. The tendons were very soft and meat tender. Would order again for sure! 82. Beef rice vermicelli I took as a take away to eat for dinner. Beef had a great flavor and a slight chew, but in the beefy way. Vegetables were crisp and the sauce not overly powering.“

“I have been searching for the best Chinese food spot as I recently moved. All I can say is China Tiger is it hands down. There’s a few spots around the area I have loved, and other areas in other cities I constantly vouch for people to drive 45 minutes for if need be. However, I had the biggest surprise after ordering my food today. The House Egg Foo Young is the best I’ve ever had in my life and I used to work with natives of China when I taught at an immersion school a few years back, this food reminded me EXACTLY of their home styled Chinese/Asian cooking made fresh every day. The spicy garlic chicken and vegetables was amazing as well, hands down this will be my go to spot to order (I had to stop eating my food just to make sure I gave them the recommendation immediately because I’m at a loss for words over this Chinese Cuisine).“

“I'm a huge fan of pho ! This is my go to place their broth is delicious and sweet. I also have an obsession for their cream cheese wontons. Service is great every-time staff is very nice. I recommend if you want to try pho for the first time !“

“A great little place I must have driven by a 100 times! Sad I hadn't stopped before. My daughter and I stopped in on Easter Sunday after a day of moving. The food was AMAZING! I had roast pork loin mein, she had shrimp fried rice and we shared potstickers. Everything was fresh, hot and delicious. A really wonderful little family business that I will absolutely visit again. “Sidewalk Kitchen is a name that does not seem obvious to have Chinese cuisine. I think they are a solid takeout and eat in when I am crabing some Chinese food. A friend of mine from China recommended this spot. She said that it had options closer to what she would order in China, so it was more authentic to her. One day, I ordered some garlic coated string beans with white rice, an order of fried chicken wings, and #76. Szechuan Spicy Diced Chicken with fried rice. The service was decent and attenive, the food was flavorful, and the portions allowed us to have seconds. For two, the bill was also reasonable. When we asked for some soy sauce and hot oil, the flavor of the food definitely was enhanced. The food tasted fresh and appeared to be fresh off the press, so that makes me happy to know that things move quickly through this place and they have a steady flow of patrons in the University of Minnesota area.“

“The go to place for dim sum. Family owned with a younger kid running the restaurants which always means the food is amazing. The dim sum menu is voluminous with the traditional dishes. Servers don’t walk around with carts but will walk around with plates of food. Hard to find that nowadays with the traditional carts. The food here is always fresh and busy. Definitely recommend to everyone!“

“I ordered this through doordash.Their Pork Eggroll is HUGE! and has lots of flavor, and it's crunchy not rubbery! their sesame chicken is also amazing! Best Chinese chicken I've ever had ! very crunchy and lots of flavor! I will definitely order from here again ! only reason for 4 stars is I specifically asked for utensils and didn't get any so I had to go around asking coworkers in hopes they had a fork! “Wonderful quality at a great price! We called in an order closer to closing and the owner was kind enough to fulfill our request! You get great portions for a very affordable price, they have standard Asian American staple dishes as well as some creative options as well! “I came here since I was a child. So, the service is alright, they forget our drink, but we reminded them politely. The Atmosphere is fine. The food is OK, it's just that some of the food looks a bit off, but it's edible and delicious at least for me. 2 people for nearly 45 dollars isn't that bad. “My favorite dim sum place-only available early on weekends but it's my absolute favorite. The dishes range from small to large. Small being less costly and large being more expensive. This is my dim sum fix the ingredients are so tasty and refreshing. They have a about 30 plates worth of dim sum here. My favorite is their congee (they have 3 types), taro cake, lava bun, and the siu mai is crazy juicy good. The service is pretty nice and speedy too. I like the ambience as well. It's very clean but it can get busy ofc cause it's great! :D The waiters are super attentive and great at getting your order. I love the competency and speed in which they fulfill your order by crossing off things. I will say sometimes the water gets missed but it makes sense cause they're super busy. There is this one favorite waiter who kind of recognizes me as I eat there a lot. She's honestly great, and super sweet. Thanks Sister!“

“My car broke down light one night and I was stranded in -35 degree weather. The people here welcomed me inside even though they were closing and let me wait in the warmth. They even brought me a cup of hot water. They were very kind when I was in need.“

“Only 3 stars for atmosphere because we can’t dine in but I totally understand why. This place is exceptional! Definitely a top five favorite. I moved to this area early last summer and everytime I’ve been here it is consistent, fresh and hot in the to go bag. “It was my first visit. I called in an order for take-out. I ordered 2 dishes. Mongolian beef and General Tso's chicken. Though not really a Chinese dish, General Tso's chicken is kind of a benchmark dish for comparing restaurants. The portions were generous. Though not a major cost, I appreciated the sides of white rice that came with the meal. They were easily twice what I have received at other places. It is definitely a take-out restaurant. They have a handful of tables for dine in. Will keep them in mind for future visits.“

“Please was a favorite growing up in South Minneapolis. My family would always order from here. It does seem like it’s taking a step back from his heyday. I don’t know if it’s new ownership or not but I’ve ordered the same meal for nearly 15 years and it seems like the food is only ok. Very impersonal but it is take out so maybe that’s to be expected.“

The quality of the general tso’s chicken was really fresh, cream cheese wontons had lots of filling, and the fried chicken was flavorful, crunchy and juicy. “Got take out here for the first time. Food was great and portions were above par for sure! I especially enjoyed the crab rangoons (cream cheese wontons with crab) and the Mandarin Chicken Combo. I’m not really a fried rice person but this fried rice was awesome:) will come again!“

“My deceased grandfather's favorite takeout. I love to go now and then for old times sake, bland but filling. Tasty if you like "American Chinese food" This is old school takeout Chinese. The stuff American servicemen back from the war made a staple for so many families from the 50s through the 80s. I'm nearly 60 and I went there with my grandfather as a child. The guy who founded it still ran it then. The food is hot and filling and the portions are big! Which is nice. The only drawbacks are NO CREDIT CARDS or electronic payment of any kind, they do take checks, but when is the last time you saw a checkbook? The other is they need an option for some more seasoning. They assume like most places that Minnesotan "Chow Mein" customers like traditional Midwestern blandness. I know they can make spicier food, but I don't know how to ask. They don't speak much English, and I'd like to find a way to say "Its wonderful, but please more seasoning in the chow mein"“

“Been getting delivery from here for about a year or so and I am rarely disappointed (I’ve never gotten BAD food, just sometimes it doesn’t slap AS HARD as others but it’s always good) . The General Tso chicken is always delicious, and the orange chicken has a good balance of spicy and sweet. Hot and sour soup is DELICIOUS, so is their cheese rangoons and donuts. They always deliver to me lightning fast with PIPING hot food. Literally the only Chinese place we order from and the prices are crazy low. I can’t believe how much food we get for such low amounts.“

“Wanted to eat local in Minneapolis. Looked online for Chinese food in this had a high rating. The reading sad that the atmosphere was very basic, and it is. But who cares when the food is as good as it is! If you like Chinese food and you’re in the Minneapolis/st Paul area put this on your list of restaurants to try.I ordered the potstickers (see picture) and Chicken Kung Pow. Both were amazing!“

“They have been here for years and it is a family who owns and operates it. Good people! My favorite as well as my wife's and her sister's favorite is the chow mein with crispy noodles. I think they make their own noodles and they are the best crispy noodles I have ever had. They are unique and very light and crispy. I get the chicken chow mein and my wife gets the fried tofu version.It's not a saucy chow mein. It is like a stir fry and the vegetables are crisp and fresh. I don't like old fashion chow mein with the heavy sauce. For $10 you get a large portion and I just love it! Egg rolls and spring rolls very good too.They do a lot of takeout so there is always plenty of places to sit. That plus the lack of decor I give it a 3 for atmosphere. Parking in the rear or on the street is not a problem.“

“Lao Sze Chuan makes some of the yummiest Sichuan food. Sichuan food is savory and spicy the Sichuan peppercorn makes your tongue tingling. It's something to become accustomed to because most people are use to eating HK style food and American Chinese which focuses on salty and sweet flavor profile. I enjoy the mapao tofu and sichuan boil fish. I always order these two!“

“Very fast service. Order and pay online for pickup or order and pay in store. Food is usually ready on time and hot. The special lunch menu is decent and isn't overpriced, but it is limited with only a few options to choose from. The fried wontons and chicken wings are delicious!!!! Price is fair.Vegetarian options: You have the option to order vegetable dishes only. They are very accommodating as long as you specify in the instructions section when you order online or verbally request what it is you want / don't want when ordering in store.“

“Their dumplings are a meal in itself. The absolute thickest dumplings I have found in the area and goes good with their legit chili oil dipping sauce. I would not be surprised if they handmade these themselves. I like their thick lomein noodles too.More of a "To-Go" place but they do have a few small tables you can eat at inside.“
