“Don't let the hostess/waitress throw you off. I was glad I knew what to expect from other reviews. Mia greeted us with a scowl and tossed a couple menus on a far corner table for us...but after that, she was perfectly personable and no further complaints about her. Not sure why she doesn't greet customers with a smile, but it didn't affect the service. The food is good, though the "giant sized English muffins" are anything but. They are just normal sized English muffins and not sure why they are billed as "giant sized". The potatoes are spicy with pepper but very tasty and oily. We did enjoy our meals and the prices very reasonable. Now that we know Mia is all bark and no bite, we'll definitely be back!“
“They do the unique dishes well. The surrounding neighborhood is a little cramped, but not a problem visiting at low times.Parking: They have parking ramps nearby. I wouldn't park on the street if your car is worth more than $2,000“
“A dream come true.....So I watch British Bake off and the final challenge for one episode was a Norwegian Princess cake: sponge cake, fruit, cream and green marzipan. I live in Pennsylvania--devoid of most Norwegians so it wasn't until I visited Minnesota that I got to try it.....Literal perfection. A must try for anybody...“
“I have to admit that this coffee shop is more fun because my dad knows half of the people working and drinking coffee here. That said, you couldn't find a more ideal location or friendlier baristas. I frequently sit outside when I'm visiting Wayzata, jawing with the kind of exceptional older men you can only find here. Many of them are retired from interesting careers, but what they really like doing is ribbing each other and placing bets (for a cup of coffee) on who will win the latest golf tournament. Oh yeah, and the coffee is good. They also have some small sandwiches and pastries. I always order herbal tea, but what I'm really paying for is the lake view and the conversation. Long live the Caribou!“
