“So it is Monday July 14 and we just left Joe’s BBQ and my wife told me that my BBQ is better the Joe’s any-day. Sunday night we went to Q39 and wow what a difference. My wife and I both had the 3 meat and sides of beans,and vegetables. Every single thing we had was great. Chicken(white meat) had good flavor but chicken is chicken. Sausage was full of flavor with the peppers. Ribs were fall off the bone and didn’t need sauce. The pulled pork was really soft and melted in the mouth good. So at this point I have to say if you are in Kansas City for BBQ go to Q39 last because nothing compares the it at least in Kansas City anyway.“

“We skipped the food as we stopped in during the taco festival, but holy awesome service Batman! Victoria (maybe Veronica?) and Brie were awesome bartenders. Very fun and personable. Kept us in margaritas 🍹 and were an absolute joy! Looking forward to going back.

“I remember hearing about this place years ago but never went. It popped up on my FYP on TikTok so I decided to give it a try. My family and I drove down on a Saturday around 12:30. Not sure where it was exactly, we ended up driving by it and having to turn around. There is only street parking available so we parked 1/2 a block up and walked down. We weren’t the only ones who did. The steady flow of people coming in and out was a lot. Good for business. They only accept cash, which is good to know beforehand. We ordered the famous pork tenderloin, a cheeseburger and fries. Everything is alacarte. Which is also good to know beforehand.
The tenderloin had good flavor but was fried very hard. My husband enjoyed his but said it was too spicy, he had the hot sauce. Overall, it was good. Glad we finally tried it.“

“We had a fantastic dinner at Blue Bird Bistro on Monday 9/16. We sat in the bar area and had the Bartender as our Server. She made us *perfect* dirty martinis, and recommended some excellent dishes and wine. We loved the salmon appetizer and the desserts most of all. I also have never had a restaurant make me feel so special on my birthday - they provided us with complimentary sparking cider, a small tasting of one of their appetizers AND the most amazing dessert I have ever had. Plus there was a birthday card and confetti on the table. This was my 3rd time here and all 3 times the food was simply divine! Our waiter was exceptionally attentive. “Wings are the best I’ve had outside of Buffalo, but sadly the blue cheese was tasteless. Our waitress was nice but brought us the wrong appetizer and often left our drinks unfilled. If you are a Bills fan, DO NOT come here for a Bills/Chiefs game. It was torture. WAY more Chiefs fans than Bills fans and some of them were downright mean, profane, and vulgar, mocking the Bills fans and loudly chanting, “F*ck Josh Allen!” I brought my 15-year old son and I cannot say that it was family friendly. SO MUCH profanity, plus a TV right in front of our table was playing some awful blood and gore show the whole time we were there. It needed to be tuned to the game or turned off. The TVs kept losing their signal, plus they were often not in sync with each other and were always well behind the live game, so patrons were watching on their phones and loudly announcing what we were about to see happen on the screens. Plus the sound was terrible. Apparently the jukebox was messed up, so a guy was going around turning individual TV volumes up, but it was impossible to hear anything. When my son went to use the bathroom, there was no door on it, just a curtain, which he found uncomfortable. So in summary, really good wings, but don’t expect a Bills-friendly atmosphere. It was a soul-crushing experience and my son was begging to leave, but we couldn’t get out fast enough because we never got a check or the box I asked for. I found a box myself and the waitress finally took my credit card after I waved it around for a few moments.“

“My husband and I had the best experience at this restaurant. The food was good as always. During our meal my husband had to use the rest room. He has some dementia and can’t walk very well. Unfortunately we were sitting at a table which was on the complete opposite side of the restaurant from the rest room. The server noticed our dilemma and said she would guide him over to the restroom. She was back immediately. I said, “Oh, he won’t be able to find his way back to this table.” The server told me not to worry about it. The restaurant manager had taken him over and would wait and bring him back.
