“This was such a cute little family owned restaurant. While it looked like most people picked up for delivery, you can eat in and they give you paper plates. We ordered the popcorn chicken which had fried basil in it and it was so unexpected and delicious! My littles loved the stir fry noodles. Also unexpected was what they called Chicken Chili stir fry! The pork belly melted in our mouths!! Absolutely delicious. We will be back“

I had Xian baing baing noodles in London and was really craving the same flavor again and although it was super close, I was very impressed with this restaurant. We ordered the Shanghai Bamboo Soup, braised duck, Pork Shank, steamed pork in lotus leaf, and beef with Hangzhou peppers. Everything was delicious!

The Shanghai Bamboo Soup was rich and comforting, and the house-cured pork gave the broth so much flavor. The beef with Hangzhou peppers was incredibly tender and probably one of my favorite dishes. The Pork Shank was huge, fall-apart tender, and packed with flavor. Definitely recommend ordering it if you're sharing with a group.

“Ok im not from St Louis but I really wanted to try rethink place because Mr Chimetime reviewed it and said it was good and guess what it was. The fried rice was a 10 outta 10 the St Paul needed more seasoning. The place looks a little sketchy but it was worth it. A lot of people were ordering the duck im try that next time.“

“This place caught me by surprise. I usually go to other Chinese restaurants in the St. Louis area, but this place was nearby when I was with my daughter, and we were both hungry. We gave it a try, and it definitely didn't disappoint either of us.

Ordering food was a bit challenging because a lot of people were in line talking to each other while I was ordering. The wood flooring and high ceiling make the place echo, but no biggie.

The wait time for our order was probably the longest I've ever experienced at a Chinese restaurant. However, I understood that many orders were called in before we ordered at the window. I think the lady taking the orders was overwhelmed with that many orders coming in close to closing time.

I told my daughter this food better be good for that wait, and let me tell you, the first thing I ate was the crab rangoon; it was one of the best I've ever had, with a strong crab flavor. The rangoon was stuffed with the perfect amount of crabmeat and cream cheese filling. The second thing I ate while driving my daughter to St. Louis University was the shrimp St Paul; the St Paul was probably one of the best I ever had, just a little heavy with the salt or msg, but all in all I loved it. I nearly crashed the car three times while driving my daughter back to her dorm. Lol, the last thing I could eat and finish was the shrimp fried rice. If I'd known it was going to be that good with the gravy on the side, I would have gotten the whole order instead of the half order; my daughter ate the plain lo mein, and she is definitely a fan. She doesn't eat seafood, but she wanted to try the crab rangoon because it smelled really good to her. I think she loves crab Rangoon now. Lol.

I will come back to this restaurant to make sure it wasn't a fluke, because I think I may have to put this spot in my top three.

“I saw so many food reviewers come to this place so I had to come. It is in the hood but who cares, most hole in the walls have the absolute best food. I parked on the roadway and went in and ordered a half shrimp fried rice and full order of beef fried rice. They do charge $1 extra for green onion, pepper, and soy beans. It took them 10 minutes and I was out of there. I paid $10.99 for the full order and 7.99 for a half. Prices are high but quality of rice was amazing. Reminds me of my childhood rice. I'll definitely return when I'm back in the city.“

The atmosphere is very cozy, warm, and a bit minimalist. It's a great place to go with a date. The staff were plentiful and ready to help. We were seated very quickly.

The food: First off, if you are the sort of person who doesn't do QR codes, you should probably pass. That is the only menu that we were offered. That said, it was a nice and easily navigable menu with pictures of almost everything (even the soda cans). We ordered some Thousand Year Eggs and some Soup Dumplings and both were full of flavor and nicely presented. I should mention at this point that it seems they bring out the food ASAP after preparation. So we received both main courses before the dumplings arrived. That said, everything was out and ready within 10 minutes. Our main dishes were both wonderful. I had the Spicy Intestine Noodles and it was the best I've ever had. Lots of umami and a good kick. Very meaty.

I definitely intend to return for another experience.“

They were having a bit of a mid afternoon rush and she was acting as the cashier, server, bus person and just about everything else associated with front of house in a restaurant. “This review is for the bakery ONLY. Everytime we go to St. Louis, we stop here (We live at the Lake of the Ozarks). The mini custard pies are amazing, try the fried, sesame seed balls which are filled with two different kinds of bean custard, both are delicious.
The yeast buns are stuffed with a variety of sweets and cheeses and are killer. On the right side of the shop as you enter, there are usually a few versions of the Dim Sum they serve next door in the restaurant and they are all DELICIOUS!

I've purchased the Duck & the deep fried pork hanging in the window, several times & it's been legit. We buy half a duck because there's only 3 of us, but plenty. I always order a small order of their rice so we can eat our duck at the hotel.
It can be VERY crowded on the weekends, so come as soon as they open. There's usually only the one lady working the register and dude chopping up the duck & pork, but they're fast. A++++ It's not cheap but it's soooo worth it.“

No matter how busy, they are always kind. My food is always right and delicious. I’ve started trying new things because it feels like a safe place to do so! “We smelled it from the Antique mall close by and took a chance. I got the beef and broccoli while my wife got the egg foo young. It was all amazing. We appreciated the crab rangoons (not sweet, a bonus for us). Everything was cooked to perfection!

We ordered carry out and ate back at our hotel. It was a good hole in the wall. Asian food is extremely territorial but we found it so good and comforting while we visited the area.

The seating area was very clean (dated but clean!) As we waited for our food, we couldn't help but notice the amount of people coming and going and the women behind the counter knew most of them by name. Great food!“

They were doing a brisk carry out business, obviously they were very well known in the neighborhood. We chose to eat in one of the booths.
