“Breakfast at its Best. Mid Morning and on the weekends, there might be a wait because they don't accept reservations.

This place hasn't had an update in years because none is needed. The Menu Prices are an incredible value and the food is all prepared from Scratch. If Sue is taking care of you, you are gonna have a great time, she is efficient, friendly, and Awesome!

I always order coffee and a cinnamon roll to begin. I always cut up the cinnamon roll for everyone at the table to share so I don't eat the entire thing myself. It's Delicious!
If you like biscuits, make sure you order them before 1pm ( or before they sell out ) because they are scratch made as well.

Combos are the way to enjoy the most flavor. I ordered the French Toast combo ( with an egg and bacon). They have a full breakfast menu available all day, then Lunch and dinner options available after 1030am. I would say that I will eventually order dinner there, but with the delicious cinnamon rolls, bacon, and breakfast options, I doubt it.

There is plenty of parking available, you can enter from the Eastside of NW Gateway Avenue or from the Southside of 69 HWY/ Vivion RD.“

“We skipped the food as we stopped in during the taco festival, but holy awesome service Batman! Victoria (maybe Veronica?) and Brie were awesome bartenders. Very fun and personable. Kept us in margaritas 🍹 and were an absolute joy! Looking forward to going back.

“Room 39 was the perfect spot for my only night in Kansas City. I made the mistake of deciding to go vegetarian, right before I visited a city famous for its bbq meat! So glad I found this gem of a restaurant. I had a perfect table by the window, with the radiator under the table making it cozy and toasty. The cocktails and dishes were fantastic - two Boulevardiers, a Brussels sprout soup, gnocchi with goat cheese, and the flourless chocolate cake with Earl Grey tea. My server Tory was terrific. “So it is Monday July 14 and we just left Joe’s BBQ and my wife told me that my BBQ is better the Joe’s any-day. Sunday night we went to Q39 and wow what a difference. My wife and I both had the 3 meat and sides of beans,and vegetables. Every single thing we had was great. Chicken(white meat) had good flavor but chicken is chicken. Sausage was full of flavor with the peppers. Ribs were fall off the bone and didn’t need sauce. The pulled pork was really soft and melted in the mouth good. So at this point I have to say if you are in Kansas City for BBQ go to Q39 last because nothing compares the it at least in Kansas City anyway.“

While drink options are limited to water and Sprite, it's better than nothing and gets the job done. I highly recommend the Blackened Chicken Sandwich, and 'The Fry'—loaded with pulled pork and BBQ sauce—is an absolute must-try!

A quick note on the practicalities: Parking was quite challenging to find, especially with the ongoing construction out front. Also, due to recent rain, the outdoor seating area was soaked. However, these are clearly not the fault of the restaurant itself and don't detract from the fantastic food and concept.“

“My wife and I stopped in for the first time in a few years. We were seated after a bit of a wait. It is after all a Friday night in a shopping district. Our server was bright and cheery. She had a warming smile and happy persona. we placed our drink order. Shortly thereafter our food order was taken. I ordered a flat iron steak and a baker. My wife ordered soup and salad. Our dinner was served fairly quickly. Unfortunately my steak was quite a bit overcooked, so I requested one that wasn't over done. When the replacement steak was delivered, it was a bit overdone as well. I was hungry so I kept it. The manager came by to talk to us. I've spent time in a kitchen or two and I understand a dinner rush. The manager stopped at our table and wanted to assure us that this was not acceptable. She made things right, but wasn't needed or expected. I felt bad for our server because she probably feared she wasn't going to get tipped for a fairly big check. She was pretty wrong. I tipped correctly and arguably better than normal. Our return visit ended up being a great experience. We met a couple of wonderful human beings. Had some pretty good food. And, of course, my wife and I got to connect.“

“It was a hot and humid day and I stopped in just for a drink and a couple glasses of water. I sat at the bar and chatted with the bartender. She played an LP, which was fun. The bar area was nice and there were many gathered there for happy hour. They have sweet treats there too which looked delicious.“

At the time this place was chosen to eat we didn't know how bad we actually needed it ! Food was amazing. Service amazing. Scott himself came out of the back to talk to all the patrons.
