Quick to respond to calls and emails. Gracious, and just wonderful altogether... and that's just the service. The food? The empty pans, told the story. Brisket, Turkey and Pork for meats. “I have been a customer of Salt N Smoke for the past 4 years and always have had a wonderful experience, however this recent time with a nightmare to say the least... I ordered on 1/12/2022 around 8:45 PM via a Call-In on a Debit Card. What I ordered was (2) Bestie 2 Combos, one with Sweet Ribs and Smoked Wings sides were Sweet Potato Chips and Mac n Cheese, the 2nd Bestie 2 Combie was Ribs, Smoked wings and for the sides it was the Fries and the Mac N Cheese. Total for the Order was $41.72 Charged to VISA Debit Card Ending In (4360) I recently moved away to Iowa in the past 1 year so anytime I come into town in Saint Charles to see my parents which is often I always get Salt N Smoke in Saint Charles, MO I wish I could get it from Delmar if it was closer because I have never had a bad experience at that location ever, however Saint Charles is a different story. When I got to my parents I noticed all of the food was cold, not even slightly warm, I was really confused on how that was possible because I arrived at Salt N Smoke in Saint Charles before my order was finished. I ended up warming up both dinners because I did not want to waste food but still could not get myself to finish the meal mainly because there was something very wrong with the chicken almost like it was spoiled, my girlfriend was trying to be polite and ate everything to her regret, 1 day later she told me she had the worse stomach pain she has ever felt and it was so bad where we had to rush her to the E.R Hospital at Great River Health Center in Fort Madison, IA where we currently reside. After waiting 2 hours, doing blood tests and urine samples the doctor came to the conclusion that my girlfriend had gotten "Gastritis" which is a bad stomach inflammation which the doctor recommended it was caused from the poultry at the BBQ place she ate which was Salt N Smoke on Saint Charles... Tried to write them via Email no response, they will be hearing from my attorney.“

“Went there tonight with my family on Valentine’s Day, and yes, they were busy and yes, the waiters were behind and forgetting things, but their customer service and their urgency were on point; they were just young and trying their best. Not rude at all. I had the ribeye and loaded potato (delicious— my ribeye was very fatty, but I LOVE THAT!!), my spouse had the Cajun pasta with sausage and shrimp (it was the best pasta she has ever had), our toddler shared the pasta, had French fries, and barbecue beans (she said they were the best beans she has ever had). “This is my go-to spot for lamb skewers in St Louis for a reasonable price. They come out cooked and served on a plate with candles underneath to keep them warm. Not the best chinese eggplant dishes I’ve had. Owners’ kids are usually at a table doing homework or playing. that’s a sign of an authentic asian restaurant lol.“

“Sawmill BBQ is located very close to our house, yet we’ve never tried it. Well, we just did the other evening, and LOVED it. Everything was bursting with flavor and the meat was beyond tender. Even the Cheeseburger was above average! All of the sides were devoured in minutes (green beans, fries, creamy coleslaw, garlic bread). Safe to say, we’d totally pick up from Sawmill again - or dine in (they have a large dining room, with live music sometimes I’ve heard!) :-)“

“I normally don't give reviews but I had to on this one. This was our first time in St. Louis and I'm glad we found this spot. Funny thing is this wasn't even the place we were originally going to go eat at. We just happened to go here looking for other restaurants on Google maps. Anyway service was great, very friendly. The place has that old school look, like something out of the Godfather part 1. Its nice, wood and dim lights not plastic, bright, and loud. I had an old fashion and the ribs. I never had St. Louis ribs before but these were legit and I'm saying that just leaving Dallas and Nashville not to long ago. Just added this as a favorite on my maps. If we are ever in St. Louis ago this place is a must.“

“West County doesn't have a lot of restaurants offering a vegan menu AND a regular menu. Enter Smokee Mo's. Very pleased with their vegan offerings. If you are vegan or plant based but still want that BBQ flavor I strongly recommend. In addition, their friendliness and customer service are have always been top notch. Highly recommend.“

Our order was taken in the first 10 minutes, but was taken by another server about 45 minutes later. Food was acceptable, but not up to previous visits. I would continue to recommend this establishment. I would assume this was an exception. I did find it odd that the servers may no attempt to offer dessert or some other form of compensation. They both were clearly aware of the delay.“
