“I visited for a quick dinner and was glad I made a reservation because the host initially acted like it was packed. Once I mentioned my reservation, his tone changed, and we were seated. The restaurant wasn’t even that busy. We ordered garlic cream shrimp pasta, a salami sandwich, and catfish nuggets. The food was tasty, especially the pasta with a nice kick. I’m looking forward to returning to try more menu items. Until next time!“

The inside is very vintage, white tablecloth, but the vibes are very cozy and casual. We were served by the ever so lovely Sierra. AND SHE DESERVES HER FLOWERS AND A RAISE. She suggested this amazing wine called the menage a trois, and so kind and personable. We enjoyed meeting owner brothers and hearing their story of bringing their Yucatan culture and roots to the St. Louis food scene. Everything we tried was beyond delicious. THIS IS HOW YOU DO IT! Reservations are difficult to secure for 3 but the woman (I believe her name was Grace but don't quote me on that. Please correct me so I can provide her name) who is in charge of reservations explained the process and how to achieve a reservation for 3.
We were sat as soon as our reservation time started! Never happens that fast. 8:30 we were in our seats.
Okay last night was incredible. Our server was genuinely kind. Priscilla was very patient, informative and the most pleasing personality trait was her non invasive style of service. Top notch girly! I loved every moment of service. AND I LOVED how our courses were timed and cleared at the same time. The staff came together like a ballroom dance and cleared our plates and most importantly they reset and prepared us for the next course. You'll be stuffed by the end BUT GET THE SUNDAE!!!! Childhood nostalgia and sooo yummy. I can't explain enough about what a joy this experience was. Service IS NOT WHAT IT USED TO BE. You get what you pay for. I love the intentional small, private, true dining experience. This is just not a turn and burn restaurant. It's an experience. Ugh I can't wait to go back. “We wanted Italian food and we decided to go on the hill to Zia‘s. We ordered pasta dishes, which was extremely nice portion size. The bread was delicious when you dip it in olive oil. I also had the French martini which was delicious. I think if you have a taste for Italian food pasta, you couldn’t find a better place.“

I had two smoked old fashioneds, we enjoyed the bang bang shrimp, Imperial dip, our main courses and even desserts Dad had the Bourbon brownie and I enjoyed my Drunken coconut pie. Sabrina was super sweet, energetic and she went over the top, not just for us but for multiple tables. She is an absolute blessing to have as our waitress. The busser and bartender was trash. Bartender was on his phone trying to hide he was on his phone, while the 2 young ladies did all the work. I worked in industry as a Chef for many years and the staffing manager should ashamed of themselves having 1 server and piss po ass busser on a Thursday afternoon. Again that hostess(who should not have been helping) did a great job helping and my server was awesome doing her best to hold it down. Busser just walking around not offering refills and bartender on the phone. They should not recieve a percentage of her tips.“

“I had the BEST breakfast sandwich burger at Wakey Wakey last week while I was staying at the attached hotel for a women's conference. It was huge & I had to cut it in half & save the rest. Our server Sam was the one who made the suggestion to try it & he was right in his suggestion! He even told me how to reheat it so that it would come out even better than the first time it was served. Our drinks were never less than half full & he was very attentive. You can really tell he takes pride in his work! I also want to note that the breakfast potatoes are AMAZING & I will definitely be going back to get them again! They are something that I have never had at any other breakfast place. My mouth is watering now just typing this. Thank you again for the great suggestions Sam & keep up the great work! Not only was every piece we received so delicious from the bread to the actual dishes, but the service was 10/10 and we had so much support from the staff to make our experience memorable. The workers would even apologize when reaching over you to fill your water, like hello I should be the one apologizing for being in the way! Every single bite was heavenly and the portions are big so I was able to enjoy leftovers later too. It’s definitely on the pricier side because it’s a fancy restaurant but nothing that I believe isn’t worth it. I will 100% come back when I can! It’s also connected to a hotel so if you are ever visiting Saint Louis and want to experience the Italian relevance of the Hill, this is totally a great option.“

In years of searching for REAL Mexican food in St Louis, I’ve had many disappointments. This place was absolutely fantastic and pure pleasure for an old Texan. It even made me shhh my wife because I wasn’t willing to remove my focus from the delicacy I was partaking in. Can’t recommend this place enough and haven’t been able to stop telling others about it. I’ll be a permanent fixture there for sure.“
