“A trip back to the golden age of nightclubs. A real prohibition/film noir vibe. Top flight warm and friendly service from bar and waiting staff. Bar manager Rhys is right across the whole operation. Also really knowledgeable about the cultural history of the venue - which has been rocking it since 1948. Incredible music from sax player / Nat King Cole voiced Derek Williams, plus singers Laura Mayo and Dianne Sherrill fronting a superb jazz combo led by a highly charismatic pianist. The burlesque show is end to end class with elegance and humour balanced perfectly by co producers Jonny Gowow (musical director) and Tessa Mendoza (hostess / lead dancer). Food also of equally high standard. The prime rib is a near religious experience!”

“Big thanks to our server Johnny who took great care of us for 2 breakfasts while visiting Nashville. Taro late was unique and worthy of revisiting. Baked goods were balanced and delicious. The meals felt so good, not heavy or greasey, proper portions. Drinks all made to perfection and the juices were even a life saver. “We met a friend here on our way back from the midwest. This was our halfway point. The kitchen closed before we arrived, but the staff let my friend order before it closed so we could have a meal ready for us upon arrival. The staff was super friendly and made meal suggestions. The food was delicious!!! As were the drinks. The staff was so nice and accommodated all our needs. We tried appetizers, main dishes, and dessert as well. I wanted my belly to expand just so I could eat more. Loved the decor and atmosphere. Will come here again when passing through Nashville!!!”

The pork chop with clams was a unique dish to me, not something I’m used to seeing and it was excellent, we used the sour dough bread to dip into the broth. We nearly licked our plates clean! “Went to the Finch Monday afternoon for Happy Hour. Drinks were very good and went for some apps, got the Volcano Shrimp and Szechuan Chili Chicken and East Coast Oysters. Added the Meatballs later as the apps were so good. Finished off with Greek and Wedge salads. Service was spectacular, will definitely go again. Atmosphere was loud and restaurant was full.Parking: Parking behind the building, They validate part of the cost. We were there for 90ish minutes and parking was $7 with validation.”

Salad w grilled chicken was prepared as requested - dressing was perfect. The olive oil almond cake was a fabulous way to end the meal. “How adorable is a secret garden theme bar! We came here to celebrate my birthday with a group of 12 and it was excellent. The T&R team was so accommodating, our food was delicious (get the taco platter for a group!) and our drinks were fabulous. Kat, our server, took excellent care of us and had fantastic recommendations for everyone. We also tried the adorable Secret Garden specialty batch cocktail drink (basically a flower bouquet!!!) and it was tasty and so fun to share. I know the themes change every so often, but I can't wait to see what they'll do next up here. Would recommend for a fun celebration with a group, girls night or a romantic evening! We requested an indoor spot because it's still cool outside, but I wish it was a few weeks later because the outdoor patio looks so inviting! I think we'll have to come back!”

We were grief stricken, exhausted, and, frankly, a little lost emotionally. We saw the sign as we exited the 196 and turned in like youngsters after a night on the town. The place was full, as always, and I believe there were only two people working. A waitress and cook. We were lucky to nab a table, and the waitress was right there. We had great service. Great food, and even managed to reminisce and have a little laughter in the midst of deep loss. Kudos to the crew working 2am on 01/12/24. You brought joy and healing to aching hearts.”

I'm not a big fan of Brisket because I usually end up with dry even in Texas but I have to say I tried some and it was actually juicy. I had the pulled pork and smoked chicken really well seasoned and gave a nice smoke flavor.”

They were very attentive. It wasn’t particularly busy when we were there and Charlie and Bro could have easily been sitting down playing on their phones. Instead, they were cleaning. It was spic and span in the dining area!!! They were cleaning and changing out the bbq sauce bottles, wiping all of the tables, chairs, vacuuming a mopping the rugs, wiping off the chairs and booths. Really utilizing their down time. And that’s not very common to see these days, sadly. I had to brag on them in person, but also wanted to write a review also because many times the focus is always on the bad, so I am very happy to share a great review for a restaurant that was all around great today and especially to call out Charlie and Bri that were so hospitable and working so very hard! This was our first time visiting, they had a “Christmas Eve” menu which looked delicious but we came with our hearts set on the steak; no questions asked the kitchen was happy to adjust, we received the best steak we have tasted yet! The staff was beyond wonderful, the atmosphere was perfect. Love love loved Yolan; this will be a must have every time we visit Nashville! Thank you Yolan for the perfect Christmas Eve experience!”

“I had a reservation for 6 with a convention in town. I called an hour before to see if another guest could join. They fairly reported there was nothing they could do. We were scheduled for a booth and, it was shared, adding the seventh was our prerogative, but we would be squeezed tight. The addition was an important customer, so we decided to squeeze. Upon arrival, we were seated at a large, spacious table set to accommodate seven. What a truly kind thing.”

“This place is all about the details.- Parking directly below the restaurant was much easier than eating on Broadway.- We noted on the reservation this was an anniversary dinner. The menu and dessert plate had "happy anniversary" emblazoned across them. We're not anti-alcohol but didn't order any drinks; a manager brought out two glasses of Sicilian sparkling lemonade in lieu of champagne.- The steak options were brought out and explained, from origin to rarity to signature presentation. We just went for filets but man, we can see how the prices of A-5 Wagyu or an Australian tomahawk are justified. Even their more "standard" steaks are from a family-owned ranch operating 130 years.- The seafood tower had dry ice embedded so they could pour a little water and have it billowing fog on the table.- All the staff were tops. Our waiter, Brady, gets huge marks for personality, attentiveness, and depth of answers to our questions. Even returned from the bathroom to find he had folded my napkin into a triangle.- Bathrooms had a signature scented candle made by a local candle shop.- Everything was delicious. Appetizers, entrees, desserts -- excellent flavor/seasoning/pairing and meticulous presentation. Never before had someone ask me to cut a steak through the middle as they brought it to ensure it was cooked perfectly to order.We only get out for a nice dinner a couple times per year but have determined this place will get a return visit over Virago, Bourbon Steak, The Twelve Thirty Club, Jeff Ruby's, and 5th & Taylor. Unless we're looking for live music or a rooftop view, the details at Harper's win.”

Also, as I can remember well they closing early, even before Noon. Now rhere is a nice seating room including outdoor seating. Besides bagels, bagel sandwiches there's a variety of espresso drinks. I liked my cappuccino. Bagels are so yummy. I bought half dozen and all were delicious. Service was good and employees delivered it with a smile.”

I have been eating at this restaurant for over seven years now and it is by far my most favorite Asian cuisine. Not only is the food exceptional, the service too is SUPERB!!! The last time I was there Gilda (aka Gina) was my waitress. She is extremely customer oriented, friendly, professional and always works to get your food out to you in a timely manner. If an error is made in the placement of your order she will do all within her power to correct it and make it right for the customer. Another waitress to ask for when you arrive is Julia. That being said, the offerings and pairings were delightful. We sampled about 7 or 8 plates. I mistakenly thought that you got wine to sample with certain cheeses, but that was not the case. This place is not my husband's thing, but he loosened up and picked several things for us to try. I think it's worth a trip just to experience.”

“Came here to celebrate a birthday dinner and its was all first class! After drinks, we shared a Caesar Salad that was just perfect. For me, dinner was the NY Strip and she had the Filet Mignon. No question, the best NY Strip I have ever had! For dessert, we split the chocolate cake and were completely satisfied with our evening. Our server, Tatianna, was fantastic. Can't say enough about her impeccable service. This was a great evening and highly recommend this establishment.”

“Finally, a tourist type of restaurant that lives up to the hype. Worth every penny. Portions are large and staff is attentive and respectful. Ask to sit in front of the large aquarium in the middle of the restaurant. Fun watching the many different types of fish, sting rays and manta rays swim around. Was a little loud do to all the young children but still worth the visit.”

“My daughter took me yesterday for their Mother’s Day Brunch. It was divine. We had the French Toast stuffed with lemon cream with fruit compote and powdered sugar, it was a shareable which was a perfect size. Then my daughter enjoyed their Hot Crab Cakes with a pickle cabbage slaw, which of course she let me sample, I loved the flavor and the spice was just right. I was jealous, but only a minute because I had the Corned Beef Hash with Sunnyside eggs with an aioli sauce which literally sent my taste buds to happiness. We also enjoyed Strawberry Jalapeño Margaritas. But, I love a restaurant where everyone is wishing for everyone’s food which tells you everything is delicious as well as our service. Bravo to Chef Jordan for her talent. We will be back.”

“Okay I have FINALLY been able to take 40 minutes of my morning and get in line for the famous Benji's Bagel. This bagel shop is amazing their breakfast sandwiches are delicious and their bagels are soo fluffy and full of flavor. They also have multiple shmears that are calling my name. In the bright side it has been open for about 4 month close to 5? not totally sure but they STILL have a line out the door some mornings. On the downside, if you have somewhere to be, ensure you have enough time to stand in line and wait for your order. Note they do have coffee and pastries and the coffee was delicious but the banana walnut muffin that I ordered was not my fav, it had a huge chunk of banana, was not a fan and it was a little dry. For bagels 10/10, service was 10/10, wait time (5/10)! I will be back to try out other bagel flavors.”
