“My friends and I stopped in while we were on a weekend trip in Asheville. We didn’t know what to expect and were surprised by the vibe there, but we had a great time! The owner, Imran(sp?), took us under his wing, gave us a quick tour, and talked with us for a bit. We had a great time!“

“The Low Down in West Asheville is absolutely amazing! It’s tucked just off Haywood next to The Hop you have to go downstairs to get to it, and the space is gorgeous. Everything here feels thoughtfully designed, from the decor to the lighting sconces, bar, booths, and wall art it’s unlike anywhere else. I wish I had taken pictures because it’s truly stunning.
The drinks are hand-crafted and top-notch, with some ingredients made in-house. Even the glassware is beautiful. There’s a fun game I’d never seen before they called it shuffleboard but not like my great grandads shuffle board, it was unique and the people playing it had a good time, and it adds to the vibe.
I went alone and sat at the bar, and the bartender was friendly, attentive, and fun to chat with even while busy. The overall vibe is a perfect mix of a warm, welcoming neighborhood bar with a classy, art-deco, decadent feel. Prices are fair, and the attention to detail is incredible. I’ve gone back twice, and each time it’s just as cozy, sophisticated, and enjoyable. I love this place!“

“Fantastic food. Fantastic service. Lovely ambience in the space. It feels like the kitchen really cares about the food it brings out. One thing I particularly liked was how well all the dishes were seasoned. A bit of heat here, a bit of spice there, and a dash of sweet when needed. And speaking of sweet, the lemon curd cheesecake is a wonder. I love it when the cheesecake part of the cheesecake isn't oversweet. The lemon curd gives a sweet and tart compliment to the creaminess of the dairy in the dish. It's dangerous, I tell you! We'll be back for more.“

“This is the cutest little intimate cocktail bar! The bartender, Ashley, was amazing. Made great cocktails and was so kind to us as we had a fussy newborn! She didn’t make us feel like a bother - in fact, we took our drinks out to the front porch, and she made it a point to come out and tell us we weren’t bothering anyone. Highly recommend this place!“

“Asheville Club is a great spot day or night. They have a wide variety of beers on tap, a full bar, and wine. They regularly have live music in the evenings and when the weather is good, open up the big doors. It's also a great spot for people watching. It's hands down our favorite spot for espresso martinis in Asheville.“

He and his team had the joy of taking care of my group of 7 crazy and rowdy ladies on 12/10 for our annual Christmas dinner before viewing all the Gingerbread houses! His team did a phenomenal job! “We had so much fun here. The specialty drinks were amazing and not crazy expensive. I have never felt comfortable enough to dance at a bar before and I danced here and it was absolutely incredible. The drag show was so much fun and the performers were very sweet. The bartender kept checking back to see if we needed drinks and when we said we were a little too tipsy to get another shot she made sure we had water without even asking. She also made sure our DD had free Coke as long as we were there. Absolutely incredible bartenders. I had such a great time here and will be back!“

“We are visiting from St. Louis, where we have many great pizza options. We were looking for something that could compete with our favorites from home. Fahrenheit did not disappoint. The garlic knots were delicious. The salad was quite good. The pizza was great. The service was excellent and we liked the laidback and quiet atmosphere. I highly recommend.“

“Funky, fun, dive bar on the South Slope. They have great glizzies(hot dogs) too!! My favorite is the Ultimate Warrior hot dog!! Drinks were cold and good, glizzies were hot, and the service was great!! I love coming over here when there is a show at Eulogy for cheaper drinks and a bite to eat“
“I am one of the organizers for a monthly network gathering group. We chose to go to DSSOLVR and VOWL for our event this month. We had approximately 200 folks there this past Tuesday (January 14, 2024). The staff nailed it at both bars. Serving 200 people at one time can be a challenge... the staff did not disappoint. It was an extremely welcoming evening from the start to the finish. The owners and management were awesome to work with and delivered everything that they promised and more. They provided a DJ for us (DJ Abu Dissarray), which made the evening even that much more fun. Many of the event-goers had not been to either of these bars, but I heard from many folks that they planned on going back due to the friendliness of the staff and the treatment that we received. “Best broccoli cheddar soup I have ever enjoyed! Grit cakes with onion jalapeño topping out of this world! Incredible shrimp and chicken, delicious salads with great dressing. Top it all of with a delectable blueberry tart, you can’t go wrong. Next time we’ll try one of the bowl meals. Staff is wonderful, too.“
“Amazing, chill venue that consistently hosts great music. I love the intimacy of the space, because it's not a massive venue. Can't tell you how many great shows I've spontaneously stopped by to see over the years. 10/10 recommend. Also, kudos to the barkeep for carrying drink-able white wine for us non-beer, non-liquor drinkers.“

“Happy hour: 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm M - F
If you love beer or cocktails and you need an early dinner, this is a great happy hour. You can get a huge chicken sandwich that tastes high quality for $9 or a delicious burger for $12. Drinks range from $3 - $10. They have plenty of cocktail and beer options during the happy hour as well. The only thing I wish they did was a red and white house wine with the happy hour menu as well. Other than that this is perfect for people who want a fancy delicious experience without the high price tag.
The happy hour definitely made me want to come back for the full dinner menu! I will 100000% be back.“
