If you love beer or cocktails and you need an early dinner, this is a great happy hour. You can get a huge chicken sandwich that tastes high quality for $9 or a delicious burger for $12. Drinks range from $3 - $10. They have plenty of cocktail and beer options during the happy hour as well. The only thing I wish they did was a red and white house wine with the happy hour menu as well. Other than that this is perfect for people who want a fancy delicious experience without the high price tag.

“This was a cool restaurant. Awesome atmosphere. A very friendly wait staff. Food was good, not great. A little pricey for the portions and the plating. But I would come back mainly because of how nice the staff was. One word of caution, this is in the ground floor of the hotel and the hotel puts WAY too much scent in the lobby and throughout. Overpowering and caused me and my wife headaches.“

“First perk was plenty of parking. The whole location was very impressive upon walking in. All of the staff were great and happy to be there. This is different from the original Burial locations and they nailed the theme here. Plenty of great options to drink, including wine and mixed drinks. The food selection was good and mostly well priced. Our favorite part was exploring the property and it's rich history. So much room for gatherings big and small. Next time I would like to do a tour though.“

“The Low Down in West Asheville is absolutely amazing! It’s tucked just off Haywood next to The Hop you have to go downstairs to get to it, and the space is gorgeous. Everything here feels thoughtfully designed, from the decor to the lighting sconces, bar, booths, and wall art it’s unlike anywhere else. I wish I had taken pictures because it’s truly stunning.

The drinks are hand-crafted and top-notch, with some ingredients made in-house. Even the glassware is beautiful. There’s a fun game I’d never seen before they called it shuffleboard but not like my great grandads shuffle board, it was unique and the people playing it had a good time, and it adds to the vibe.

I went alone and sat at the bar, and the bartender was friendly, attentive, and fun to chat with even while busy. The overall vibe is a perfect mix of a warm, welcoming neighborhood bar with a classy, art-deco, decadent feel. Prices are fair, and the attention to detail is incredible. I’ve gone back twice, and each time it’s just as cozy, sophisticated, and enjoyable. I love this place!“

“My favorite spot in town to hangout at ! Low entry fee, and then the games are set to free play. Super easy to get your money’s worth. They keep their beer selection changing, and lots of options if you’re picky like me. They also keep their pinball machines rotating around so you never get bored with that selection either. Super nice and knowledgeable staff who are fun to talk to and joke around with. 10/10 !“

“The most amazing view! We went for lunch and enjoyed a relaxing and delicious meal. We had the shrimp cocktail, French onion soup, and salads. Everything was cooked exactly as we requested and well seasoned. Our server was very friendly and gave us lots of history about the resort. “I am one of the organizers for a monthly network gathering group. We chose to go to DSSOLVR and VOWL for our event this month. We had approximately 200 folks there this past Tuesday (January 14, 2024). The staff nailed it at both bars. Serving 200 people at one time can be a challenge... the staff did not disappoint. It was an extremely welcoming evening from the start to the finish. The owners and management were awesome to work with and delivered everything that they promised and more. They provided a DJ for us (DJ Abu Dissarray), which made the evening even that much more fun. Many of the event-goers had not been to either of these bars, but I heard from many folks that they planned on going back due to the friendliness of the staff and the treatment that we received.
