The staff is attentive, and eager to ensure you have the best dining experience. I selected On Thyme for my work Christmas Party and the staff fell in LOVE with everything. “Unmatched uniquely gorgeous Riverside view & charm together with extremely delicious fresh chef seafood & other entrées after a cup of she-crab soup! This is one of my most favorite restaurants Ever- considering the entire dining experience of the atmosphere, the food and the wait staff! Don’t allow a few negative reviews influences too quickly you when you read the next many hundreds of glowing reviews (many accompanied by photos of obviously extremely delicious chef inspired seafood dishes, and other non-seafood entrées! I lived at nearby Wrightsville Beach & had my office at the State Port in Wilmington for two years. Although there are many other great seafood & other type restaurants in the Wilmington Wrightsville beach area that I love, the ‘Pilot House’ Restaurant was, & still is, at the very top of my list favorite restaurant list in the U.S.! The unbeatable atmosphere of sitting out in the Cape fear River together with the fresh and delicious ‘She-Crab soup’, unique selection of other very fresh fish entrées really made my day! Also every client that I entertain there loved the unbeatable, unique atmosphere and foods that described! I love both lunch, with occasional ships passing by and dinner, particularly with the lights on the river at night!“

“The Mediterranean-style food was absolutely amazing and something everyone could enjoy. The pita bread was warm, soft, and incredibly fresh. The hummus was creamy and full of flavor, perfect for sharing or eating all by yourself.
The grilled chicken was cooked perfectly — tender, juicy, and well seasoned — and the grilled chicken pita wraps were to die for. The tzatziki sauce tasted so fresh and light, adding the perfect touch to every bite. Everything tasted homemade and thoughtfully prepared.I was told it’s all homemade and that’s not a surprise. You can taste the effort and love.“

“my husband and I are setup at the riverfront holiday market and just had the wings and I had the fried porkchop sandwich at the Riverfront holiday market and they both are wonderful. my husband said the wings are seasoned so well and cooked perfectly he didnt need dipping sauce. the porkchop sandwich is fried perfectly and is large. next time you see them somewhere, you should stop in and get you some of their great food“

No… that’s insufficient.
Five stars does not capture the experience of walking into Farfalla, just off 3rd Street in Wilmington, North Carolina — where the air itself seems to whisper, “You have made… the right decision.”
The lighting? Warm. Inviting. Like a gentle tractor beam pulling you toward comfort. The aroma? Garlic… basil… tomatoes simmering with purpose. Not merely food. Not merely dinner. An event.
I ordered the pasta bolognese — because when one is at a place called Farfalla, one must trust the butterfly. And let me tell you… it soared. Perfectly al dente. Each bite a small revelation. Sauce that clung — not desperately — but lovingly. As though it understood its role in the grand design of flavor.
And the service.
Attentive. Precise. Arriving at the table not a moment too soon… not a second too late. Like a well-timed warp jump.
There is sincerity here. Craft. Pride. This is not a restaurant that merely serves food. It delivers joy… plated.
If you find yourself anywhere near 3rd Street — do not hesitate. Do not delay. Engage.

“Super nice place! Love the location and the ‘sea side shanty’ feel we got going on here! I had the salmon BLT and it was very tasty! Only problem with it is they forgot onions on there :/ but we also got the Elijah’s pooboy? I think… anyways it was with flounder and it was super tasty!!!! Looked super tasty on the plate!

“My husband and I had a really great time we ate dinner and we went upstairs third floor on the roof to dance and have some drinks and we're having a blast when was the funnest time we've ever had in the 20 years we've been together!! And right before the DJ is supposed to come we were kicked out for an innocent mistake I was having a cigarette in my hand while we were coming downstairs from outside on the roof( hence I said we've been drinking also for like the past hour or two while we were there and we all know that the drinks are not cheap) but we were having so much fun it didn't bother us- we're coming down the stairs to the second floor a young man that work there stopped me and told me that we can't smoke downstairs I was completely oblivious to the fact that I even had the cigarette in my hand cuz I was pretty buzzed I was so apologetic to the game and gave him the cigarette and just kept apologizing so he was fine my husband and I proceeded to go out to the parking lot to put my husband's coat in there because we were going to go back upstairs because the DJ was going to come and figure there's going to be a lot more people and didn't trust our coats laying down. So as we got back to the entrance they stopped us and told us we weren't allowed to come back in due to the cigarette situation I am extremely upset about it because I thought we should have at least got a heads up especially for the fact we didn't give them no problems or anything we were sincerely and genuinely apologetic and we've only been drinking at their place for the past 2 hours buying their drinks they should have been more understanding“

“I am traveling for work. I ate here two nights in a row. The food is high quality, the staff is amazing, the resturant is modern and clean. As a bonus you may get a window seat to view the River. I highly recommend this resturant.“
