“Nice people! Great steamed shrimp with seasoning! I’m a person who disliked eating shrimp unless it was breaded. Their seasoned steam shrimp will change your mind! They also have all types of peanuts and different seasonings/sauces/snacks/souvenirs/fishing gear. Get the butter toffee peanuts and chocolate covered peanuts! They also recommended the sea salt peanuts and jalapeño peanuts!“

“So we ate here the last night of our visit, probably a good thing because had we eaten here the first night we would never have gone anywhere else. First, Dan our server was the best, made all the right recommendations and they didn’t disappoint. Back yard wings, chicken piccata, cooold beer and rum cake for dessert. Outstanding! Get there early, as you can see from most of the reviews this place is a great place to eat. Don’t miss it.“

“This was the best meal we have eaten in OBX in a long time. The atmosphere was fun and welcoming, and the staff were great and provided excellent service. The food was amazing and it had some of the best twist on some classic dishes. We will definitely be making this a regular stop.Overall, one of the best dining experiences in all our trips down. The chef even stopped by our table to ask how our meal was and chatted for a bit. Loved every minute of this experience.“

“Stopped in for dinner with family, we expected a wait since it was Easter vacation..but even with that it was only a 20 minute wait. Seated upfront.. our server was very friendly, professional and helpful.. a basket of delicious hush puppies were brought out, only issue was for 4 of us we were fighting over who would eat more than 1..since only 6 hush puppies brought out for 4 adults , if it wasn't so busy I would had requested another basket. And would had paid extra if needed" they were that good".. they were definitely the best on the beach I've tried . The meals were fried shrimp a little greasy but tasted really good and a baked potato hit the spot, I opted for a salad with yummy ranch dressing, it was fresh and a nice portion. We had seafood sampler fried and the other broiled which the others seemed to really like, also a broiled combo with scallops, shrimp flounder which tasted delicious and a small medallion sized crabcake ..that crabcake was the only thing not really enjoyed..had a fishy odor and though it did not have a lot of filler it just tasted off ( this could be because crabs aren't in season right now and we knew and expected they are made with frozen. ** As locals we knew that may be the case, and I'm certain in the summer months they are excellent..now as for the desserts they were to die for.. chocolate cake wow! It could had fed 3.. the cheesecake also a must try..in general this was an excellent place to come in for a wonderful OBX style seafood meal.. prices are comparable to everywhere.. I highly recommend checking out but also suggest if you want to get a good seat and have it more low-key dinner..go early. bon appetit ""“

“Been dieing to go here and with a foggy night here on the OBX, not much open on Tuesdays and said, tonight's the night. Had the blackened tuna and the blacken shrimp tacos. This food is off the hook delicious. Fresh caught tuna and more than you can even think of eating. What a great take out meal. They just moved the list of top places here on the island. Great people too!“

“This gets High ratings from me which is not normal. I am pretty hard but this place is a go to if you’re in the outer banks. Definitely worth trying. I do not think you will be disappointed. “Fried oyster plate hit the spot. Fries were slightly greasier than I like, but that’s my only gripe. Oysters were delicious. Slaw was KFC style, but less sweet and lighter on the dressing, which I found to be much preferable. Service was impressive with courtesy and timeliness. “Mama Kwans is a must if you are in the OBX. The food was amazing. I had the coconut shrimp and my husband got the pork plate. We also got the jerk chicken tender appetizer. “I'd heard great things about Greentail's from friends, and then read a great writeup about this spot in a recent issue of Our State. So, yesterday I headed to Greentail's with a friend who also enjoys checking out a new place for lunch! We loved it. The Coconut Curry Fish Soup with Dumplings was really, really tasty and I also enjoyed my Shrimp Tacos with Collards. I brought home a meal for my husband - Fried Shrimp with Coleslaw and Collards, and my friend like their Fried Fish Tacos. Portions are generous, especially sides which is rare for area restaurants. Thank you Greentail's! Greentail's is a friendly spot and the three owners are present, visible and running everything. It was fun to talk with them about the menu and they make delicious, creative food. It's nice to see not only Outer Banks Specialties but an Asian and Hawaiian influence as well. Greentail's offers fresh fish as well as prepared meals, and the spot was crowded. There's indoor and outdoor seating and the atmosphere is casual. The food is serious though - great taste, seasoning and creativity for sure. I can't wait to see what they come up with next!“

“Delectable tasty place in Wanchees. Intimidating at first as you hardly can see the open sign and when you walk in the ordering process is hard to comprehend. Walk right on through and a cashier will be on your left. Menu board straight. Seating area front and in the back past a merchandise area. Shrimpbasket is fresh and plentiful. Clambasket as well. Coleslaw creamy, French fries okay. The staff über friendly and ready to serve and help. We bypassed the dessert but were told they were all homemade. Highly recommend.“

“O'Neal's Sea Harvest is a retail seafood store and restaurant. There are maybe 10 tables inside to sit and eat lunch. During the warm season, there is outdoor sitting as well.During our visit in February, the kitchen closes at 3 pm. We had the fried flounder and fried shrimp baskets. The food was delicious and very plentiful. In addition to seafood, they offered: hotdogs, hamburgers, chicken, wraps, and various salads.There is a handicap ramp, but not a defined handicap parking spot.I highly recommend this location for fresh seafood both to eat there and to take home.“

“We had a delightful time today at Landing Grill. The food was delicious and the service was superb! We had the shrimp salad plate, turkey Rueben and chicken parm sub. Everything was delicious, and the sides available were great, including sweet potato tots, fries, cucumber salad, Cole slaw and pasta salad. We cannot say enough good about it. “Dillon was our waiter, and he really went above and beyond. His recommendations were also on point. We started with a dozen oysters (a buck a shuck). No pic, we devoured too fast, but super happy we listened to Dillon and tried the lemon honey horseradish sauce. Excellent compliment to our oysters. I got the tuna sashimi appetizer as my entree. That was awesome and PLENTY of food. The hot mustard in the coleslaw, delicate tuna, just really made it. My hubs got the seared shrimp pasta. The light cream sauce just pulled that dish together. The shrimp was perfectly cooked and the flavors delicious. We will definitely be back! Sorry for the lighting on the pics.“

“Every aspect of our experience here was wonderful. The hostess was very friendly on the phone and was able to get us a last minute reservation on a Saturday night. We went early to enjoy a few cocktails at the bar and we were seated moments before receiving our first drink! The cocktails were amazing and the service was even better. Our waitress (I unfortunately can’t remember her name even though she gave it) was terrific! We will definitely be back!“

“Every time we’ve been here we’ve been impressed!! It’s a hidden gem from a lot of the touristy places on the main strip. Breakfast especially is delicious! Even while we stayed in Duck we made the drive just for the breakfast. Fresh made biscuits, hand pattied sausage! Prices are fair and portions are great for lunch dinner and breakfast. Highly recommend!!!“

“From the Boston area, spending Jan & Feb in Kills Devil Hills. Read good reviews and stopped in for dinner. We sat at the bar had a beer and ordered the tuna entree with Brussel sprouts, red pepper risotto, and an order of fried oysters. All were excellent! Highly recommend.“

“The bartender Chris greeted us and made us feel welcomed. Very nice guy! He recommended the Ahi Poke Nachos and it was delicious!! My husband ordered the lobster and crab grilled cheese with fries as a side. I tried both and it was also delicious. I ordered the steak noodle bowl and the flank steak was cooked perfectly and it was tender. Very good! Definitely would recommend these items. Cant wait for our next visit in 2024.“

“Vegan options were so tasty. Also I love their French fries. I know I shouldn't judge a place just on their fries but they're seriously so good. Good beer options and local sodas. The atmosphere is also nice and not cramped.Vegetarian options: Their vegan or vegetarian options are great.“

“Great atmosphere. I really like the whole surfer thing. Lots of old relics liter the bar. Service was good. Place was rather empty so seating and parking was a breeze. We got their wings and they were awesome. I liked the sweet sauce (there was a hint of spicy) but the char was what made it. Good selection of local craft beers as well.“

“All you can eat seafood and steak buffet, food was delicious and had many options to please everyone. Forgot to take pictures because I was so excited over eating. Ribeye was delicious option also if anyone isn't a seafood fan. Service went above and beyond and atmosphere was nice yet casual. Definitely recommend!“

“Best little breakfast deli in the OBX!!! Me and my fiancé come here almost every morning every time we visit the outer banks, and the food is always amazing and not over priced like a lot of other places around here. We've also come here for lunch too, and i love their fried seafood baskets, i particularly like the fried oyster basket, they definitely give you your moneys worth in food. There's not really anywhere to sit inside since it's more of an in-and-out type of place, but they do have picnic tables right outside that we sit at when it's nice outside. The people working here are also always so nice and welcoming, which always makes us wanna come back too. This place is 10/10 and I rave about it to everyone.“

“It's what you expect/heard. Seafood buffet with standard offerings. Crabs legs and shrimp tend to always be over-steamed, but not too badly. This goes for every location I've been to. “This was my first time here I saw signs as I was driving into town and decided to go on my last night in town and all I can say I was not disappointed Rachel B is the best she went above and beyond I was with a large party that involved kids but she was on point and gave us great service and answer all questions we had and when that boat of seafood hit the table those kids was in heaven if you have not been here you are missing out“
