“Excellent food and hospitality“

“Food was okay. Not a fan of the grilled chicken (was slightly dry) or the pulled pork sandwich (not as tender as I would've liked). Hushpuppies are damn good, as well as the burgers and tenders. Employees were friendly, building was simple and clean. Loved the halloween decorations. Prices seemed good, we spent a little more per person just so we could try more of the menu. (I would suggest the average is 12-20 per person)“

“Great food, great atmosphere, great service, and craft beer on tap! My family and I love this place. My only complaint would be that last time we were here, someone at the table next to us had a dog in a tote bag that was most definitely NOT a service animal. Not one staff member said anything to her. This is a problem for me as I suffer from severe animal allergies. In addition, I don’t feel it is sanitary to bring animals in an establishment where food is being sold/served. Like I said, we love this place, but if this becomes a habit we will have to find another place to go. ☹️“

I ordered a cheeseburger with chili and mustard only and there was maybe a bit more than a dime sized amount of chili and no mustard that I could see. I also order burgers with extra mayo and barely get any. What’s the deal?“

“My husband and I had the pleasure to attend my cousin’s reception held at JH Adam’s Inn/Cristina Gray’s Restaurant & Bar Friday evening. We stayed on the property as well and found the check in process to be quick and easy, ALL of the staff were friendly and accommodating! Our room was very well stocked and clean!! As my aunt said, it is a hidden gem of High Point and it comes highly recommended!!“

“This is a nice little quaint coffee shop, next to the furniture manufacturing area in High Point. Just a really nice, quaint little spot. The reason why I'm writing this review is because the employee was so nice to me, and the food was so cheap for how good it was. It just really shocked me. “I thought I would never again taste food like my Aunt Hattie made it, but today a friend took me to University Kitchen for lunch, and I had green beans, stewed cabbage, fried chicken livers, and cornbread. It was like going back in time to my Aunt Hattie's kitchen and once again tasting good old country cooking at its best. They have managed to keep those great vintage recipes alive, and I now have a new favorite restaurant. Everyone who worked there was amiable and on top of service. It was great!“

“If you don't eat the buffet, you can order off the menu. The salmon patties, meatloaf, and more are delicious. As with the buffets, the service is always wonderful, friendly, and very attentive. You won't have to wait to have drinks, iced tea, and coffee refilled. It's an overall pleasant dining experience.“

“Saw this one on internet ( what did we ever do without it), a bit of a drive but had to come and try. OMG, this was delicious. Sooo clean, friendly, helpful staff. Told us about senior plate ( smaller portions--I wonder how much is regular size is) I still had enough to take home!!!! Everything we ordered was excellent. Highly recommend this one. Keep up the great food standard and very reasonably priced.“

Food was replenished quickly and offered a large variety of southern (and other) favorites... fried chicken and fried catfish, meatloaf, chicken and dumplings as well as spaghetti. “Tried this wing spot for the first time and it definitely lived up to the hype. Wings were crispy, sauced perfectly, and full of flavor. Fries were fresh, portions were good, and the customer service was on point too. Definitely one of the better wing places I’ve had in a while — I’ll be back for sure. “A party of four go into Mayberry about 3:10 this afternoon! We waited about 5 minutes to even be seated! No one seemed to know what to do! We had to keep moving as we waited so that a lady could sweep! We ordered just banana splits and 2 ice cream sundaes! They were brought to us in a timely manner and that was it! Never saw the waitress again until I paid! My grandson dropped his spoon, I got up to get him another, no one at the counter! One waitress just walked by me to get out the door! No wait staff to be seen in the restaurant! Everyone was in the kitchen, talking! One lady was standing in the opening and I know that she could see me at the counter, but she chose to ignore me! I was ready to go behind the counter, but couldn’t see any spoons! After 3-4 minutes a lady comes out! We finish and get up to leave, no bill! I go to counter and wait probably 5-7 mins. Cashier has to ring up 2-3 ice creams and some man was trying to get his to-go order and he had been waiting a while! When the cashier finally ask me why I’m there, I tell her to pay my bill! She has no bill, can not find it on the cash register! She asked me twice where we were sitting! While she calls our waitress, she rings it up and I finally paid! Doesn’t give me my change back, I have to tell her what I gave her and how much change she owes me! First time in a long time that we’ve been to Mayberry and probably won’t be going back! Wasn’t very busy this afternoon, lots of employees just standing around/in the kitchen doing nothing!“

“We discovered this restaurant during a recent stay with friends at High Rock Lake. Delicious grilled shrimp and scallops! Portion sizes were large and prices were reasonable. Very fresh tossed salad with homemade dressing. We will definitely eat here again on our next visit.“

“This place is absolutely amazing. I had an issue with my order from Uber Eats. I had a 100.00 order to get delivered to the wrong house. Uber Eats refused to replace the order because they said I waited too late to call back. I called immediately.
When I called Applebees back to speak with the manager on duty. (I’m so sorry I’m bad at remembering names). The manager on duty told me that they would replace my food. I called back today to reorder the food. The manager on duty was so nice she went above and beyond to make sure that I got what I order the first time. All the managers and staff on duty were really awesome. First to replace my food was awesome. Second the service of the staff was amazing. to make sure that I got hot fresh food was such great service. Thank you Applebees.“
