“Good place like the set up nice flow the Indian Trail location is bigger. Service was top notch food was mid .would love the Mason jar dessert however it is pricey at 20.00 perhaps they may consider using smaller Mason jar cuts the price .“

“Celiac? Gluten sensitivity? This is your place. Living with Celiac or having a gluten intolerance is frustrating by itself. It becomes much more frustrating when you go to a restaurant and you tell the server your issue, and they look at you like you're an alien from another planet… or worse… get frustrated with you. I've lost count of how many places I've had to walk out of because I knew just from speaking to them that it wasn't safe for me to eat there. That doesn't happen here. Not only do they have plenty of gluten-free options (which are well labeled on the menu)... But the staff also seem to be well trained on how to handle the questions that we may have. I had a server specifically ask me one time after I ordered a gluten-free bun if I was Celiac…that has never happened before…anywhere. (I've been here enough now that they pretty much all know without me having to even say it anymore, but that's beside the point.) The staff and owners have always been extremely friendly whenever we are there. The atmosphere is great, the food is great, and it's just an overall great experience for us every time we go. It means a tremendous amount to be able to sit down at a table and not really worry about how I'm going to feel 30 minutes after I leave because someone in the kitchen or the server themselves doesn't understand how to handle my food after I tell them my issue. It SHOULD be this easy everywhere, but those of us that deal with it everyday know that it's not. If you're looking for a place that serves great food, with staff that understands what it means to be careful with cross-contamination and what you're served, this is your place. “Eat there every time we are in the area. We always enjoy the home cooked food. Tonight my husband had the baked chicken with dressing, green beans and black eyed peas. I had the sausage with cabbage, mashed potatoes and black eyed peas. Both meals were delicious!!“

“Visited Matthews, NC few days ago and had lunch here. The food was awesome (I had Jalapeno Poppers and Peter Piper burger), and so was the beer selection (I had a really good blonde ale (cannot recall the name unfortunately)). Service was great, and washrooms were clean. The place has a really cool vibe to it, looks like one would feel at home there while watching sports on one of the many screens.“

“I automatically give any breakfast place with Corned Beef Hash an extra star, but my rating would have been 4.8 anyway.
If you're looking for fancy go elsewhere. This place had burned out lightbulbs in old chandoliers, water stains in the drop down ceiling panels and be careful when you sit on the benches they have no padding.
HOWEVER, eggs were made perfectly to order, the basket of biscuits were amazing and the white gravy was divine.
They not only had corned beef hash, but it was amazing.
The coffee was surprisingly good for a diner that opened well before Mr. Starbuck started roasting his first beans in the 1970s.
I dare say the best southern breakfast food in Monroe NC, and a beautiful view of Tractor Supply across the street.

“I’m not in Monroe often, but when I am, stopping at Alice Jules is a MUST! The drinks are consistently delicious, the service is quick, and the staff is genuinely friendly and welcoming every time I visit.

Their dog-friendly porch is a huge bonus for me! It’s such a great spot to relax with your pup and enjoy the atmosphere (and a pup cup!). It is clear a lot of thought and care has gone into creating a space that feels both fun and inviting.

Kent and Melody truly set the tone. They go above and beyond not just for their guests, but for their team as well and it shows in the overall experience. As a small business owner myself, I really appreciate the level of intention and hospitality they bring.

“First time. 3 of us. Parking is good. Small inside. Facility was clean. No outside seating. Max of 6 people for indoor seating. Staff was friendly and professional. We had deep fried shrimp frenc fries cole slaw cheese steak and wings. All were tasty. The wings were bigger than most places and you can order all flats or all drums. The menu is small but offers enough different dishes for all guests. Plastic plates and silverware which is fine with me. Disposable drink cups too. I'm sure we will return. Yes try it.“

Listening to 70s rock on the way always fits, and they play oldies in the restaurant too. Amazing staff, and again just the design of the place is great. and it’s got a good record shop next to it called Noble Records. Sells cds records and cassettes and I’ve bought from them after eating a lot. Writing this review right outside in the parking lot actually about to go in south 21.
