Yes, the area looks pretty sketchy. There’s a bunch of warehouses around. And a gym.

A robot carries your food to the front and then a human puts it in a specific locker. You get a notification on your phone and then you scan your code and then the locker pops open. Close the locker when you’re done as per the guy working there.

Got sandwiches from Sando Sando. They were interesting. I can see myself coming back if I’m ever in the area to try something else.“

“Very good food and for the value. From California and our prices for similar sushi would be much higher! Fish is fresh, had the hand rolls which were very good. My friend had the bento and the salmon was a bit dry but otherwise food was good! The sushi taco appetizer and sesame cucumbers were excellent!“

“We spontaneously stopped by Kuu on a Thursday evening and immediately snagged a table. Both the sushi and the two vegetarian ramen soups were delicious and filling.

“I am a local from New Jersey now living in Germany, came back to visit and was in the mood for a Poke Bowl. I have to say I have been to many poke places and this is THE BEST ONE. “Small restaurant but big flavor.

The chicken teriyaki box is a great deal served fresh with fantastic flavor and came with so many delicious sides. I also tried a couple of sushi rolls and seems like you can't go wrong with any options. I haven't had fresh cuts of fish like that anywhere else! Definitely recommend!“

“I wish I took before pictures of our food. We stopped in after a very long day out and about and the food was so good that we left feeling energized. We got the ocean roll, pork buns, tonkotsu ramen and a spicy tuna onigiri. Everything was delicious!!

The ocean roll was fresh and tasty, the pork buns were just delicious, the ramen was so so amazing- the pork was tender, the broth was so flavorful and all the add ins just did wonders for the the flavor and the spicy tuna onigiri was hands down one of the best we’ve had.

The service was also great! The staff was so friendly and the atmosphere of the restaurant was on par and so cute! We cannot wait to come back and are so happy we found our new go to spot 🤗

“This place is a gem.
The best time to go is at around 3:00. The restaurant was virtually empty when we arrived and we were seated immediately.
As soon as we ordered our food, it was on our table within 7 minutes.
Our waiter was very kind!
I highly recommend the Rainbow roll and the Kinya Ramen bowl.
The serving sizes are large and more than enough for one person.
My boyfriend and I plan to return for the excellent food and upstanding service.

“I love this place. My sister and I try to go at least once or twice a month. The food is great, the quality is awesome, and the service is good. You don't have to wait too long for your food. My little sister usually gets her California and shrimp tempura rolls. I get the rainbow roll and the O.M.G roll but everything we've tried is crazy good. I would 100% recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area.“

“This is one of the best sushi places in FiDi. The sushi is super fresh, their ramen broth is delicious and they even do a solid Katsu Don over rice.

All of their portions are very generous for the price, especially for lower Manhattan.

We’ve usually been able to walk in and get a seating and while I don’t want it to become so crowded that we can’t do that anymore, I also hope it gets more traffic so that it sticks around for a long time.

“This is easily some of the best food I’ve had in the whole NYC area and definitely the best yakitori I’ve ever had. Each skewer was uniquely seasoned and delicious. Getting food here and sitting by the water to eat it is a perfect experience. Also the Hey Yogurt is right next to it, so it’s easy to get a yummy drink/dessert with the meal! “I consider myself a regular customer of Tiam Tiam, and as Taiwanese I truly appreciate how the restaurant maintains the authenticity of Taiwanese food while adding creative twists to each dish. I’ve tried nearly everything on the weekday menu and most of the brunch menu, and I’m always impressed by the thought and care that go into both designing the menu and preparing the food. I also enjoy the occasional surprise special items, which never fail to impress.

On top of that, the customer service is outstanding – the staff are always accommodating and go above and beyond to provide the best food and experience for everyone. Tiam Tiam’s food is comfort food to me. My family had heard about this place and eagerly wanted to try it when they visited from out of state – and they absolutely loved it. “Owned by a married couple, they are both super welcoming when you get inside. They are very kind and make you feel like you're at home because the chef cooks right in front of you and it's pretty cozy in there.

Amazing sushi! It's seriously the best that I have had in my life. The food is fresh with very good quality and delicious flavor. I feel like no other restaurant/place does it like Ino Sushi. The place is also quiet and calm.

When we were leaving, my almost 2 year old brother hugged the owners and they are just soooo nice. Love it here!

We ordered three rolls and were shocked at the size. These puppies are THICCC and full of flavor. Of the sushi around JC Itto is definitely my favorite for freshness.

“The food quality and set menus they have are really solid for sushi and quite delicious. I feel like it gets a little pricy and that’s why I reviewed them at a 4 VS 5 stars as I know I can get equally as good of a handroll in the city for a substantial amount less, but overall this is a good staple in Jersey City. The udon and miso cod are also pretty tasty.“

“Simply beautiful! My wife did a lot of research before choosing Tsubame for her birthday. We were delighted with our dinner. I don't pretend to be an expert on sushi, omakase, or kaiseki. (Take a look at the photos to see our menu). But I know that we had a tremendously calm, enjoyable, and delicious meal.

As a side note -- I don't follow New York Mets baseball, but I learned later that Mets pitcher Kodai Senga was sitting next to me for the prior 2.5 hours. Evidently this was a repeat visit from him. So although I'm not a sushi expert, I figure he has a lot of choices about where he gets his sushi in NYC, and Tsubame meets his standards. ; - )

The service and interaction with the staff was perfect. Our conversation with Chef Jay and our server (JB) was fun and insightful, without ever being intrusive.

“We've been meaning to to try so many of the new restaurants in the area. We finally got here for a late lunch today. Not surprisingly on a Thursday at 2PM and snowing, we had the place to ourselves. It was fortunate because the woman who took care of us explained everything to us in detail. I wasn't familiar with the Kurobuta pork. Apparently it's known as the, "Kobe beef of pork." All their pork come from Berkshire pigs. They come from a farm in Jersey. I'm guessing North Jersey. (Lot's of cool info if you Google them) Cooking is done using White charcoal which is used in traditional Japanese cooking. We started with the crispy cauliflower. It had crispy shallots & tahini vinegarette on them. They were delicious! Then the Shanghai bao. Filling was pork. (naturally) So delicious and juicy! When you slice them in half watch for the juice to squirt! We ordered six skewers. Two with pork jowel (cheek) Two regular pork and two fish. Again, delicious. i also had a bowl of spicy miso ramen. Our server explained how the broth is simmered for eight hours with pig bones and marrow. I could tell as the broth was very rich! That was it for us. We were both very full and i even took half of my ramen. We can't wait to return and bring friends! Highly recommend! ✌️“
