“The sharing plate with hummus, muhammara, tzatziki, and naan was a great start—creamy, flavorful, and perfect for sharing. The kofta meatballs were juicy and well-seasoned.

The chicken shawarma was tasty, but it tasted more like a chicken curry than traditional shawarma. The steak was cooked nicely and had good flavor. Overall, a satisfying meal with a nice variety of dishes!

Pistachio baklava was super delicious!! The watermelon zero cocktail was good.“

The food was amazing and they couldn't have enough of the Frena bread for everyone, they loved them with the trio dips. The best was the braised oxtail tortellini and the Nemesis dessert. “We ordered for the first time tonight from Sammy, former proprietor of JuJu’s Bagels now transformed into El Toum. We ordered 4 items and they were ready for pickup in less than 25 minutes. The Mixed Kebab platter, Kofta Burger with fries, Falafel Sandwich with extra tahini sauce, and El Toum Appetizer were refreshingly homemade, tasted delicious, and proved outstanding bangs for the buck. More than enough food for a family of four with leftovers. This is a very welcome addition to a neighborhood missing this kind of fare. I highly recommend supporting this local business. Some of the best falafel and tabouli I’ve tasted in quite some time too!“

The pita is fresh and warm, the shawarma is cooked perfectly on the rotisserie, and each topping is delicious- the humus, tehina, amba, onions... plus ... served with a smile! Open late too!“

After we were graciously seated without a reservation (try to book ahead because you really won't want to miss this place), the staff was so kind, friendly, and attentive. “Want to make your pallet dance? Of course you do! Boutros is the place to go from their tantalizing cocktails to their original baba ghanoush and falafel you’ll be simply amazed. Old school, traditional recipes with a twist of new flare. Mikey is a wizard for creating his cocktails. I had the pleasure of trying two of them that he created after thinking about them for 12 years and I highly recommend them the Garlic Gibson and the Bitter tree, both are amazing. Allen, who is the chef and owner and named this quaint little place after his dad will delight you with his specialties my Sister and I had the mushroom hummus. “Have my regular halal spots but decided to give this place a try on a whim last night. Ordered mix combo over rice with white sauce and green sauce. Pretty tasty, good portion, good prices. Shoutout to the chef, they’re cooking with care.

Zaki is also very friendly and I watched him even come around the counter to open the door for one his customers leaving with a scooter. Good owner mindset and customer service, puts him and his shop a cut above a lot of other spots. Place is also clean with seating to eat. Recommended.“

“I like this place a lot. The food tastes fresh and homemade (not too much salt), and the portions are very generous (a lot of protein, they don't overload you on rice). The lentil soup is delicious. The pita bread could be a little fresher but I don't end up eating very much of it. Very nice staff! A very cute but tiny eat-in area if you'd like to sit down. Definitely pick this place over Mamoun's.“

“I had a really good experience here- service was impeccable, we got seated immediately and served immediately. The issue was we got the vip hookahs, they did not pull well and their flavor was weak. I’m an avid hookah smoker and the overall quality was bad, I would really encourage the establishment to refine the vip hookahs“

In the restaurant, you feel as if you are in Egypt or any other Arab country. “One of the best middle eastern restaurants in metro NYC. we came with a part of five and ordered up a large sample of dishes. Everything we tried was one better than the next. Super tasty humus, light, fresh and lemony. I had a stuffed chicken over rice, which was to die for. We tried the mixed grill, shawarma, Middle East platter and several salads.
Very reasonable prices. Simple brightly lit space with a lovely staff.“
