“I would like to pass along my review on Lefkes. Specifically, the extraordinary "ambassador"--the Lefkes manager--Eva who greeted our party. She greeted our party at the door, made our group feel special while making each individual feel recognized in a sea of humanity of guests. We were celebrating an office birthday party. She greeted each person with an elegance be-fitting of European royalty, with class and style. She ensured we were seated with a wonderful view of the dancing and action, while being able to enjoy our personal space. The food was to die for...she assisted the staff in serving the food and clearing our table to keep our dinner moving. When one of the people in our party requested a frappe, Eva asked one of the servers, "Dimtry" to prepare a classical Frappe. It was rich and creamy...Eva capped off our evening by having birthday pastries brought out with the flaring streamer...a memorable event from a very memorable person! thank you Eva and Lefkes! it became our Greek vacation! Konstantinos took such great care of us, and the whole staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Every dish I tried was outstanding—so well-balanced and absolutely delicious. The whole vibe was relaxed and chill. Complimentary galaktabouruko was better than everything Thank you for such a wonderful experience!“

“This place has quickly become my favorite restaurant in Queens. A quick walk past the kitchen and the friendly staff on the grill upon entry and you are already excited about what’s to come.

Service is attentive and they offer you a lot of help with the menu if needed. I noticed the table next to me was sharing a bottle of ouzo. They noticed me looking and gladly offered me some. It was a great experience.

Keep in mind they can get busy on the weekends and on holidays.“

When ordering our food they were incredibly patient despite being very busy and took the time to answer any questions we had and talk to us about Greek culture and cuisine. The food felt like a homecooked meal and I would not be surprised if there was someone's grandmother in the kitchen doing all the cooking. On top of all this, the feta....it changed my life. “Food is terrific and authentic! In lieu of a bread basket they put down a plate of excellent pita and eggplant dip and also gave us and the tables around us a complimentary dessert (delicious). Not sure if this is typical or just for the particular night I was there. Service could be smoother... not bad, but someone should train the waitstaff to give people a few minutes to make menu selections (not come to the table 3 times in 10 minutes) and to check back in halfway through to inquire if anyone would like more wine/drinks. I had to stop the waiter to ask for a second glass of wine, which never showed up. The decor was pleasant and would've been pretty quiet if not for a large table of very boisterous people. Overall, a wonderful, authentic, local spot that I will definitely return to!“

“This is my dream diner. Breakfast is my favorite meal and Madison delivers. Many other reviewers complained about the prices. The prices may be slightly higher ($2-$3?) than other places but you get what you pay for. First, the place is immaculate. Everything shines like a mirror. Second, the food is cooked by a certain kind of professional. I'll compare to another cafe nearby that offers a load of grease with your food. Not here. My hash browns were crispy, fluffy, perfect. Eggs, again perfection. The coffee was not as good as it could be (Lavazza please), but more than drinkable. I'm thinking of moving to NYC. Now I'm looking near The Madison as I'll spend most of my mornings there.“

“Food is really good! Comparably priced to most of the fast casual restaurants in midtown area. Got the Piato both times, and the potatoes are great as a base. Chicken is crispy and nice, and the Bambi and Greek Salads are fire. Service is really really good too, and personally get a kick out of the door to the basement being covered by the trash can lol.

“Came here on a Saturday at 4 pm . Was pretty dead . Not sure why . The atmosphere, service, food was AMAZING. From the octopus appy & feta dip , to all entrees was so delicious, especially the seafood pasta dish . The balaclava was to die for …. “Everything was great except they had trouble dividing the bill as 2/3rd and 1/3rd. After waiting for over 15 minutes we said split in and we'd sort the difference in cash. Death Ave was extremely accommodating to us. We were seated in a private booth with curtains, the service was fantastic, and both the drinks + desserts were phenomenal.
