“The first meal we had as we were visiting the city. The xiao long baos hit the spot. The forbidden ribs are good to the bones. The place is neat and cutely decorated. Staff is personable. We totally had a great experience here. So worth it after a whole day of travel.“

“All the rave reviews are true! I visited with a friend from out of town and we had a feast of our favorites. Nearly everything on the menu is vegan, and it was hard to choose! The lunch special is a fantastic value and includes soup and a spring roll. We chose the miso soup, which we agreed is the most flavorful we've ever had. The staff are friendly and really helpful, and the food came out really fast - truly cooked to order. And, as if that weren't enough, the prices are incredibly reasonable. 10/10. I can't wait to go back!“

“I’ve never had such a cool and friendly experience at a restaurant. Everyone was so nice and the food was great! One of the staff members even played a song on the Jing Guan for our son! One of the best experiences I’ve ever had!“

“When I saw how affordable this spot was, I wasn’t expecting to be wow’d by the food but oh my goodness it was good! I got the chicken chow mein, pork dumplings in chili oil and the crunchy spicy cucumber. The heat levels were perfect (I got medium for the chow mein and dumplings, and the recommended level for the salad). I could still taste all the flavors but my mouth was coated perfectly in sichuan. The balance of sweetness and aromatics in everything - especially the pork dumplings - was delicious.
The staff was friendly, the wait time was short, the food was fresh.
I will absolutely be coming back and you should too :)“

“Made reservations at 7pm at loch bar for my sister’s birthday. I got there first and since my sister was a few minutes away, the host couldn’t seat me without her. My sister arrived at 7:05pm and the host informed us that it was busy therefore we would have to wait at the bar until there is a table available. I’m not sure what is the point of a reservation, if you won’t be seated right away. The bartender was really nice and welcoming. 20 minutes later, there was an open table. The appetizers were delicious especially the mussels!!!! The caviar and potato skin were sooo good as well. The oysters were fresh & cold just how I like it. I ordered shots of clase azul for my sister’s bday and we decided to do a bump of caviar & a shot of clase azul. It was a great combo! Thank me later.“

“used to loveeee their seafood spaghetti. cried when they downsized their menu T_T but i still enjoy the other dishes they still have up!!! only thing is that it feels like they change their format everytime i go in..? used to be a really nice, chic resturaunt, but now opted for a more take-out service, which i do not mind“

“Just had this place for the first time. Got the lunch special garlic chicken. HIGHLY recommended. If I’m being honest, the non-lunch-special prices are a little high for the area, but that’s not to say it’s not worth it. Best Chinese food I’ve had since Flushing, Queens.“

“The chicken frames are full of great flavour. In my opinion, their braised chicken with brown sauce tastes even better than dedicated braised‑chicken chain restaurants — definitely give it a try!
If you can handle spicy food, go for extra‑hot on the grilled skewers. They taste fantastic.“

“Maybe the only spot in Chinatown that serves the sweet (or savory) tofu dessert! I’ve come here many times for that and the pork & vegetable buns. Both are so satisfying and hit the mark every time! I recommend this little spot to anyone craving nostalgic Chinese breakfast treats!“

“⭐🏆TOP PICK IN CATEGORY 🏆⭐
Hands down the best dumplings I’ve had in Philly. Everything about them is perfect and on point every single time. This is the blind-reach you keep in your pocket when you need a dumpling but don’t wanna search around too hard. Don’t over think it: go here.“
“This has become one of my girlfriend’s and my favorite spots in Philly! The atmosphere is nice and clean, and the QR code ordering system makes it really easy and quick to order. The congee and rice rolls are delicious, and although the drinks are just okay, I mainly come here for the food.
Whenever I’m in Chinatown, this has become my go-to spot for breakfast. Definitely recommend checking it out!“

“Jade Spring is the best Chinese food in the area. The counter lady, Cindy, is sweet and a great worker. She hooks it up with the cookies and sauces 🙂↕. the wait is reasonable. The restaurant is bright and inviting. They don’t take card but their Venmo and cashapp links are clearly placed making card payments like that easy peasy. The food is always fresh, super tasty, and not to mention presented beautifully. They give the perfect beef/broccoli ratio. Today I ordered general tso beef+broccoli and LOVED IT. Probably gonna be my go to order now 😅I also love how they give a 3 pack of spring rolls, a lot of places only give 2.
Also the deal where you spend $20+ (i believe) and get a free 24 oz water bottle is pretty cool! Their blue juice and half/half is also BOMB. It’s the perfect amount of sweetness 🤤 the only negative about Jade Spring is the fact they are closed on Mondays 😅“

“just inside Chinatown this is the definition of an unpretentious Chinatown comfort-food spot, the surroundings are simple, but the homemade chewy texture of the noodles paired with rich, deeply comforting broths, especially the beef brisket is why you come and will return.“

“I had such a good experience here. The broth was genuinely flavorful — not watered down or overly salty like some places. We did a split pot and both sides stayed rich the whole time. The spicy broth actually had depth to it instead of just heat, which I really appreciated.
The ingredient quality stood out the most. The meat was thinly sliced and fresh, not frozen-tasting, and the vegetables looked crisp and clean. Their sauce bar was also surprisingly good — lots of options, and everything tasted fresh. I liked being able to mix my own without it feeling messy or picked-over.“

“Great, spicy food per my request. The chili oil dumplings just disintegrate into your soul. The crispy tofu also slapped. Honestly, I couldn't find anything out of the 6 entrees we had that was anything less than great. This sated the need for great Sichuan.“

“Been wanting to try this place for years and finally made it today! The fried gizzards were good—perfectly cooked and not tough or chewy. The cheesesteak egg rolls were decent too. Glad I finally got to try it!
The area around this place is a little rough. The service was fine.“

“Been a customer since I moved to Gibbstown. I go there so often the owners recognize me when I call. Food is great and prices are reasonable. They skimp you a bit on sauces so make sure you ask for extra. In my opinion easily the most reliable Chinese place to get some good “
