It’s really hard to find good fried rice that isn’t yellow or red. This one is exactly right, smoky and flavorful. Their egg rolls are also good.“

The pork soup dumplings are tasty and hold their own compared to some of the best I’ve had. The braised beef noodle soup is rich and comforting, while the bao chicken is flavorful and satisfying.

Portions are generous for the price, which makes it a solid value overall. The restaurant itself is modern and clean, giving off a nice vibe. Just a heads up though, it’s not really the best spot for parties larger than 6 people. But for smaller groups or casual meals, it’s a winner.“

“We had the Mala Xian Guo (spicy hotpot) and it was great overall. I wouldn’t recommend to put the bean curd roll and fried dough to it because it melted when it was cooked. An uncle was working all by himself when we went there but it was impressive he had everything covered. I’d come here again to eat Mala.“

Forgot to take pictures of all dishes. The spicy dishes have very complex tastes than just spicy, and the non spicy dishes are also super fresh and flavorful. The restaurant does get busy because it’s very popular amongst Chinese people, but the staff is always attentive and makes sure that all of our needs are met. “This place is a gem! My husband has been coming here since he’s been a kid. We were in the area and decided to stop in and eat. They were very pleasant and friendly on the phone when I called to place the order. The owner immediately recognized my husband once we arrived and was very welcoming. I stopped eating just to write how much I love this spot. I order almost once a week. The food never disappoints and I believe they truly deserve 5 stars. They have wonderful customer service, always pleasant when I call, speedy delivery, and quality food (and packaging) There is no other chinese food in bergen country i’ve found that I can say has all of these qualities about them. Tonight I ordered sweet and sour chicken with chicken lo mein. The lo mein is so good I would give it a 9/10. The sweet and sour chicken is my favorite. 10/10. “The food at this Chinese restaurant is super good. I recently moved to Fairfield and needed to find a good spot for Chinese takeout out. So, I tried joy wok. I ordered sesame chicken combo and the Mongolian beef. They were both super good. I don’t normally like my sesame chicken a little spicy and they made it just right for me.
The customer service is also great. I had accidentally ordered white rice with the Mongolian beef and when I picked up my order they switched it to fried rice right away with no extra charge. Everyone there is super nice. Definitely recommend if you are in the area in search of a good Chinese spot.“

Liked the chicken lomein, requested easy sauce since Chinese food can be salty/ soysauce dark/ red spicy which didn't prefer. Lomein was sweet and tasty with shredded chicken, nappa cabbage, carrots, and mushrooms, very appetizingly fragrant. Restaurant accepts Zelle payment if no cash!! Would recommend and return again!“
