“A big shout out to my best latin place in Hoboken: Chango Kitchen. Traditional yummy latin dishes. Our faves are churrasco con chimichurri (skirt steakgrilled) and ropa vieja (shredded beef). My kids loved "alfajores with dulce de leche", "tres leches" and hot chocolate with when it's cold outside. Service is warm and friendly. We can visit the place multiple times and never get tired. #supportlocal“

“Came there on my lunch break I wanted to stay but I couldn’t. But when I say the food was good. I didn’t have chow mein taste so good in a long time. The curry goat was flavorful tender with the right spice. Roti freshly hot and buttery. My drink I can order three more . I’m trying to come back over the weekend lol“

“The food was great I went during food week. I had the salmon with garlic mash and broccoli. The meal also came with dessert and an appetizer. You can add a glass of wine for 5 dollars. For the appetizer I had the birria empanada my cousin had the island shrimp I believed it was called. The shrimp👍🏾👍, I wasn't crazy about the empanada. I would definitely revisit this place. “We were very appreciative of how the chef transported us to the Caribbean with both flavors and ambiance. My wife, from Trinidad, was pleasantly surprised by presence of Trinidadian flavors and the new dishes they introduced us to from the Spanish Caribbean. She said she felt like she was back home while cracking open a delicious tamarind and while scooping out some fresh coconut ice cream. “I may have to give this place a second chance since the day I went may may just not have been a good day. To my understanding a staff member quit and our server had to assist elsewhere but it really messed up our experience for my friend's birthday. We wanted to order more thing but after receiving our main course we did not see the server again until everyone got tired of waiting to try to order our second round and just asked for the bill. I understand things happen just wish they found a better way to deal with being understaffed than just not being attentive.“

“Accidentally I stumbled on to this place,my mom is the one that goes here.She constantly buys doubles for the family whenever she visits.My wife came here also a week ago.Today I was just in area and decided to get the family 7 doubles,and a chicken Roti for myself.I was surprised the chicken Roti tasted real good.The doubles as always was tasty and delicious.So if you're in this area,they are not to far from Prospect park, where Empire Blvd and Flatbush Ave intersect.“

“It can get really packed with long lines but they will service you with respect and you can always have a conversation on the line while you wait. Don’t come with an attitude and expect to rush in and out. Only thing is they do not take credit card / debit card as a payment only cash but that’s minor.“

“I walked in on a Saturday around 12pmto get oxtail and their customer service was amazing. I got oxtail, rice &peas with oxtail patty. They were both really good, the patty was very flaky and sweet. I sat to eat and the oxtail was really good , they used a balsamic rice and I loved every bite.

“The food was good, but they really need to do better about customer service. We had a party of Nine that wanted to dine-in. We were given no help only told us to put the table back after we moved them together ourselves to seat us. Luckily we dine in because we was missing a full order of Rasta pasta. My mom order okra and fish. We were missing the okra so they refunded me a dollar. As we were leaving the young lady approached me saying they gave her pumpkin that she didn’t order or want and asked for the dollar back. I was very surprised about that. As I said customer service was not up to standard.“

“I looove sally's. They truly never miss. The jerk veggie dumplings, amazing. The tostones, huge and crispy. That dressing the greens are tossed in? I'd eat straight greens everyday with whatever that is. Random, but I love their crushed ice. The curried chicken is my favorite but everything is honestly so good. Staff is always super cool and friendly and the music is amazing.

When friends visit from out of town our go to place is always Sally's - whether it's for dinks or a good meal, the quality and consistency is there and it's a neighborhood favorite for me.“

“This is THE spot. Jerk chicken is some of the best I've ever had. There's a good char that's smokey and flavorful without any bitterness. The spice is a warm heat with the right amount of sweet. Rice and peas cooked incredibly well, not dry at all. And the cabbage is perfectly tender not mushy. There patties are low-key solid. Curry Chicken is a bit better than the beef in my opinion opinion. But the crust on all is flakey and the filling is flavorful with good spice.

I've tried the fried chicken and macaroni both good but not worth getting. I just got for the jerk chicken platter and patties“

If in the area, I do recommend stopping here for some authentic Cuban food.“

“We celebrated my mother’s 75th birthday with 40 guests at this chic restaurant back in April, and the experience was absolutely fantastic. I cannot stop thinking about how special this was for my mom. From start to finish, everything was seamless, and that was largely thanks to Kiara, the restaurant's event director. She was incredibly attentive, warm, and made sure every detail was just perfect.

“My opinion is 8.7/10. Is it the best Jamaican beef patty I've ever had? No but overall our place that makes handmade Jamaican beef patties with a good overall flavor I recommend it.
