Some of the workers here don't really speak any English... but there was someone here who was able to help me even though my Spanish kind of sucks. A delivery of food from one of the restaurant's vendors was coming in while I was standing at the counter to order, and I had to keep moving out of the guy's way as he went in and out of the store with the hand truck. “I came to NYC around a month ago and I was looking for a place like this one, where you can buy affordable, delicious and reasonably healthy food (having eaten too many burgers and sandwiches this month). The portion sizes are quite big, I barely managed to eat all of the meat and half of the rice. The price is similar to what you'd pay to buy a meal at McDonalds, so going to this place instead is a no-brainer. The corn bread was amazing! That being said, I am giving the atmosphere just 1 star because I had the worst time waiting inside. It was also so loud that I could barely hear the person who served me both times I was there. The staff was patient and friendly enough though. The other customers, not so much. In my country, when a place is crowded, you usually wait near the door until the line starts moving, which is what I did. Someone must have thought that I was trying to cut the line and literally whistled at me and pointed to a spot behind him like I was a dog. 5 years ago, I would've left never to return again, but I understand that this is not the fault of the staff, so I stayed and bought a delicious meal. It is advisable to avoid the lunch rush and other customers some of who lack basic manners.“

“I recently visited this Spanish chicken restaurant and overall had a positive experience. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, creating a pleasant environment for a meal. The staff was attentive and friendly, contributing to the overall enjoyable dining experience. Now, let's delve into the highlight—the Spanish chicken. While the dishes were tasty, I couldn't help but feel that they fell slightly short of my expectations. The chicken was well-cooked, but there was a subtle element missing that would have elevated it to perfection. Perhaps a bit more seasoning or a unique twist could have added that extra flair.Despite this minor critique, the menu offered a diverse selection of Spanish-inspired dishes. The appetizers, such as patatas bravas and chorizo croquettes, showcased the chef's creativity and commitment to traditional flavors. The presentation was noteworthy, with each dish appearing as a carefully crafted masterpiece. The drink menu was well-curated, featuring a selection of Spanish wines and cocktails. The sangria, in particular, was a delightful complement to the meal, adding to the overall enjoyment of the dining experience. The dessert, churros with chocolate dipping sauce, was a sweet ending to the meal. The churros were well-prepared, offering a satisfying conclusion to the culinary journey. In conclusion, while the overall experience was positive, I've rated this restaurant four stars as I believe there is room for improvement in the flavor profile of the Spanish chicken. I still recommend this establishment for its ambiance, attentive service, and creative menu, with the hope that the culinary aspects can reach“

“Saw the restaurant on YouTube and decided to go. Not sure what I got. But it was amazing. The beans were excellent, full of flavor and not over powering. The pork was nice and tender, used a plastic knife to cut easily. The place itself is honestly a questionable place, hole in the wall place. However the chef Anita and the server (seen on YouTube) were amazing. $20 for two people. Salad (not pictures) was also included“

“The food here is hands down the best “Spanish” Dominican style food in Brooklyn!!! Everything is always fresh! Nice and hot! And free flavors will blow you away! The staff? Well the staff and service make you feel right at home. My favorite neighborhood spot. Try the steak and onions with rice and beans and a side salad or maybe even the Sancocho!! Honestly I can’t just choose one dish. They’re all delicious. Thank me later!!Parking: It’s street meter parking on the actual avenue … But you do get lucky and Side streets are free.Kid-friendliness: Yes it is.Wheelchair accessibility: Yes it is.“

“This place is definitely serving the community with delicious food at low prices! The pork chop over rice and fried chicken/baked chicken over rice were $8 each! It also came with beans and a fair amount of food. I think the smaller plates are $5, so wow - what a deal! It's worth the visit, so please support this man!“

“Space is limited, if possible I recommend buying to go. However, we were a group of 6 and the ladies kindly helped us accommodate two tables. The food was delicious, and the portion was more than enough. Perfect to get out of the fast food routine to eat something more homemade. I would definitely go again“
