“I'm not sure why this location has lower ratings than the Clarendon location because the service here is markedly better! The Clarendon location takes forever to prepare meals but this Flatbush location is both efficient and reliable. I can always count on receiving my Cajun chicken rasta pasta for pick-up or Uber Eats delivery in a timely fashion. I usually get the curry goat or curry chicken roti if I'm not getting Rasta pasta. Most meals have a nice level of spice to it, which I think it nice. However, if you're spicy tolerance is super low, it might be worth it to mention it to the cashier or waiter when you place your order. Although I've never dined in at this location, it looks like it could be cozy. I'll have to try in the future.“
“I just went for my early birthday, well me and my friend experience was good. Our server was very nice and accommodating didn’t show no attitude when I asking questions. The food itself was great just a bit too oily for oxtail and the chicken could use a bit of salt but over all was very nice . The atmosphere was definitely a vibe just my personal preference I would definitely would like a bit more table decor. Otherwise 8.5/10 would come again. “We went for brunch and got the croquetas, the tortilla cubana, and the huevos rancheros. The tortilla cubana (omelette with chorizo, manchego, and spinach) was great, but the potatoes served on the side were just ok. The huevos rancheros were good as well. The croquetas were very heavily breaded -- I would not order them again. I had the passionfruit mojito, which was good but a bit too sweet for my taste. Service was good!“

All I had to do was to find their entrance door on Restaurant Row, which magically spirited me away to a tropical paradise. They were memories of listening to Harry Belafonte's calypso records on my grandfather's turntable, as well as eagerly watching Sir Viv Richards take the crease on the telly, as he chewed gum in style and make his mark in the world of gentleman's cricket. Meanwhile, the staff seemed friendly and attentive and deserved extra credit for playing their part with their colorful floral shirts and outfits. Having dismissed the young waitress twice - for a duck, so to speak, and mainly due to my undecidedness - I finally settled on the Escovitch fish entree with a little apprehension. But boy, what a pleasant surprise! The well presented fried whole red snapper covered in various peppers, onions, and a spicy vinaigrette sauce, served with jasmine rice, was oozing with flavor and deliciousness ready to dazzle the tastebuds, which it did so well. The sweet plantains made for a nice side dish as well. Every morsel of food being chewed, if I may, was like a batsman driving the ball into the stands past silly point and above deep extra cover. After a wonderful meal, it was finally time to get back to the mundane city life. However, I'm not sure if life will be mundane anymore now that I know where to look for that escape door on Restaurant Row.“

“Patrick’s Place is a nice little date night spot. It’s super small so it can feel cramped BUT the entertainment and service completely make up for the limited space. It definitely more of an intimate setting. I didn’t have the pleasure of trying the food but the drinks were great. The rum punch was authentic and you could taste the Wray and nephew, need I say more? The Jazz players and singer were really good. I would definitely come back and try the food next time. Parking is a little difficult as it’s Harlem and on the main road so just keep that in mind. There is also a $20 pp minimum“

I was really disappointed by this, and the size was also pretty shocking and small. At least if there was any taste of rum I would've said ok, the price is for the rum and not the size. But I felt cheated. The cake which was like a mini bundt cake was sweet and good just not for $12.The Caribbean and Asian flare wasn't really pulled off very well for me. But the owner pulled me over to say hi one time, and the rest is history. You can tell that the staff is like family; not in the toxic way, but in a way where everyone who comes in leaves feeling like a neighbor. I love their rotation of local black/women art, not to mention their schedule for incredible live music. This restaurant has played a huge role in making me feel at home in Brooklyn over the last 5 years, and I know I’m one of many people who feel the same. Absolutely INCREDIBLE goat curry with buss up shut (roti) the goat was so tender and falling off the bone, the curry sauce was absolute perfection and great for dipping the roti in. The pumpkin and potato came separately to the curry which I think is genius to not mix up the flavours. The roti was cooked and torn up to perfection. “A big shout out to my best latin place in Hoboken: Chango Kitchen. Traditional yummy latin dishes. Our faves are churrasco con chimichurri (skirt steakgrilled) and ropa vieja (shredded beef). My kids loved "alfajores with dulce de leche", "tres leches" and hot chocolate with when it's cold outside. Service is warm and friendly.
