“I really love parlour room. The bar is so cool. When you walk in it has a cool vibe like old New York. I like the bottle display and they have a shaker machine that super shakes the cocktails. So fun: the bartender said it’s the only one in nyc. I love the cocktails and i definitely come here when we see a show or after dinner drinks, but the food here is good too! “Cafe Carmellini doesn’t serve dinner — it stages it. The space feels like if old New York and Paris had a perfectly dressed baby. Every detail is choreographed, but it never feels stiff.

Started with the zucchini flowers lobster and artichoke Provençal — light, layered, and borderline poetic. The duck, duck, duck tortellini? A playful name hiding serious precision — pure Carmellini flex.

Then the squab en cocotte landed like a mic drop — perfectly cooked, rich but composed, the kind of dish that makes you remember why New York is still the best food city on Earth.

Closed it out with the sticky toffee pudding and chocolate ganache — pure indulgence, no regrets.

There’s an amazing vegan and omnivore menu. The vegan cheeses and butters are made in-house — and taste incredible.

“This was my first time trying omakase in New York, and I went alone — but the experience couldn’t have been better. From the beginning, the staff made sure to ask about any allergies or dietary restrictions, which I really appreciated. “Clover Hill exceeded my expectations. The food was delicious and creative. I feel there is always one dish in a tasting menu that is a disappointment or lack luster but that was complete untrue here — each dish was a star.

The service was excellent and the staff was so kind and accommodating. The pace of the meal was also spot on.

The wine pairings were exceptional!! We have strong opinions in this area and were surprised and delighted by Debbie’s choices. Highly recommend adding the pairing

“Saga is a 10 points experience from start to finish. It is a wonderful place to celebrate a loved one and share the experience with friends. You arrive, they meet you with a choice of two drinks, that then the waitress takes to the table.

We chose the seasonal tasting menu which goes through multiple courses. Both menus were great. They were able to accommodate a vegetarian menu as we called with time. Each of the dishes were absolutely delicious.

We also did the wine pairing, the discovery selection of wines. We tried so many incredible wines. It was totally worth.

Staff were on point every step of the way. They were super kind, accommodating and walked us through each step with kindness.

“Below is my unedited initial review of Ren. Since writing this review I have had several people complain about their experience and they chose to go based on my review. Therefore, I'd like to preface the review below by sharing a few important details.
The tasting menu is for foodies. If you are not a foodie, you will NOT enjoy the tasting menu. You will leave hungry and agitated because of the price. Ren is VERY expensive. If you are not a foodie, your enjoyment will be the location/service and ambiance. But you don't need to go to Ren for that. My suggestion to Ren, if they want to start making money, is to offer a non-foodie menu. Your location and space is amazing. Your chef is very talented. Widen the offerings and the people will come. Even a foodie like me won't go back for the tasting menu. I did it. No reason to have it again, unlike the steak at Le Marais that I can eat twice a month and never get sick of (in theory, obviously).

Five stars all around. Chef is amazing. So go. Try it out. Now for some details. I have to go back and try the prefix menu. The tasting menu was out of this world. We went for my 50th birthday, so it was special and we paid knowing that. If you are going out for a regular meal, ask the prices first. They are much higher than you’d expect. However, the quality is also much higher. So you are truly getting what you pay for. The tasting is a kosher experience worth trying if you are a foodie. It will blow your mind away like it did ours. Took many hours for the different tastes we had in our mouths to subside! That was wild. Do yourself a favor and get the wine pairing. They know what they are doing at REN. Enjoy!“

“EMP has been on my bucket list for a long time. When I found out they were featuring meat courses again, I was ecstatic because we happen to be in town. I was lucky enough to grab one of their bar tasting menu reservations. We’ve had the privilege to dine at many Worlds Best and Michelin starred restaurants around the world, so I had extremely high hopes.

The courses were good, but nothing really wowed me. I wish they offered less vegan courses. Since we do not drink alcohol, I was surprised to see a non-alcoholic wine pairing. I opted for it ($135) bc I was intrigued, but I would not get it again. The white pairings were delicious, but the red pairings all tasted sour and left a bad aftertaste. I only had a sip. Service was exceptional, I did not expect anything less. For the price, I would rather go to Per Se or Le Bernardin.“

“An interesting concept with rotating chefs. Food was good but it took over 2 hours to get the whole meal, which made the wait between each dish pretty long. They add the service and its labeled as it going to the staff. If that's the case, tax should not be calculated over the service amount but it is. Unless the restaurant is also taking a portion of the tips, then it is taxable. Overall good experience.“

FALAFEL PLATTER: omg the hummus that comes with it are so good! Silky and perfect with the falafel and pita that comes with it. It is good for sharing or even by yourself! BURATTA: the cheese is soft and delicious. It comes with bacon or ham? I'm not sure but it tastes good with the burrata. CALAMARI: we were sad when it came cause we thought it was fried but man it was so good, it was grilled and it taste like a ceviche. EGGPLANT SCHNITZEL: the fried eggplant is so good and not over fried so the softness of the eggplant was retained. FROZEN PASSION FRUIT DAQUIRI: omg it was so good and refreshing, but hits you at the end! LOL Price rating: 8/10, it was not that bad for the price. The food was great.
