“We really enjoyed our experience at Kimika. The cocktails were amazing - unique with great flavors. I loved the kaga milk punch, shishitorita and the unami in kenmare.Dishes are a fusion of Japanese flavors in Italian style dishes, such as the sticky rice arancini served on a Japanese curry sauce. Other menu highlights were the tuna tartare, hamachi collar, truffle carbonara, rigatoni, and the steak.Dont miss the yakult soft serve for dessert!Staff were very friendly and helpful with recommendations. We were seated in a back room which felt private with so much space on the large tables.“

“Tried the TikTok viral restaurant. It used to be a Michelin one-star in 2021 and 2022. Although it has lost its Michelin star last year, I still think it’s my favorite Italian restaurant in NYC so far. Had a fantastic experience here! The salad turned out to be a game-changer. As someone who typically shies away from salads, Don Angie's version won me over with its unique flavors and freshness. Each bite was a testament to the restaurant's commitment to excellence.Don Angie lived up to its viral acclaim. My friend and I walked in at 9:15 pm, and we got seated in 20 minutes!! A little snob, but maybe that’s the vibe they want to share around. We had reservation but it was delayed, and we couldn’t have a drink while we’re waiting. The food was tasty, but not crazy to wait for delays. However, the place is cute if you don’t mind those details. Some people of the staff, great, others a little snobby and not friendly. Extremely loud place too, if you like to have a conversation, it’s not the kind of place I would recommend. You should try it at least once to find out tho, maybe it’s fine for you. I like lively places but not the ones with such much noise that you can’t hear the person next to you.“

“L’Artusi continues to be a solid standard in the Village for Italian. The bucatini, the picci, the cinnamon chocolate chip cookies, and the chicken are all consistent standouts for me. That being said, we had three appetizers last night (burrata, little gems, and the tuna crudo) which were all under seasoned. I would add the Cappeleti to that list as well. All could have used some salt, etc.The other part that just can’t be avoided is waiting even though you have a reservation. We had a 9:15, were on time, and sat down around 10pm!! There were rows of delicious treats and I was overwhelmed but I decided to have their 2 famous items:- mini NY cheesecake with fruits: the BEST NY cheesecake! The cheesecake was light yet still creamy & perfectly sweetened. The fruits gave a bright freshness to the dessert. My only regret was that I wish I bought more than one!- mini chocolate covered cannoli: my kid devoured it in a minute! The cannoli cream was light, creamy, and perfectly sweetened. I had a birthday celebration for a party of seven...on a rainy night the place was warm and welcoming. We put together a tasting menu and all of us were wowed. A "cheese platter" that a cheese lover would savor. Chewy mushroom calamari with a magical aioli, fried artichoke with the lightest coating, pizza from fig, to sausage to wild mudhrooms with a soft chewy crust and deceivingly realistic cheese; pastas from a delicious eggless porkless spagetti carbonara, "squid ink" ravioli that was a stunningly luscious mystery to me. “This was our first time to Alfred Portale’s new restaurant and our entire experience was perfection! Everything we ordered was delicious. The seasonal soft-shell crabs were incredible—very nicely fried and presented beautifully over their perfectly paired sauce. We loved the Malfadine and especially the Lumache with its ragu bianco—sublime! For dessert, the olive oil cake was so moist and flavorful—even better than my wife’s—and the chocolate flourless cake was rich and delicious and surprisingly light. Our server Lani and staff Shah attended to our every need, the sommelier Michael made excellent recommendations for food pairing, and the executive manager David was an exceptional host who politely checked in with us and made us feel very welcomed. After learning that we had trouble deciding on which dessert to share, David and Lani even comped the dessert we didn’t order; such a gracious gesture. Our favorite Italian restaurant in NYC has been Ai Fiori for many years, but Portale is just as great, perhaps better. We look forward to dining there again soon!“

So many options, it's approaching overwhelming. If you like Neapolitan-style pizza, you'll definitely enjoy La Lanterna's. It was the right chewiness, and the toppings and sauce were tasty. I also had one of the many available adult beverages, opting for a hard coffee. It was excellent. The cheese and pate plate was good -- the bread it came with was well seasoned and had a nice crisp. But the presentation definitely leaves something to be desired, it definitely looked like an elementary school science fair project on the plate. Overall, good food, not too pricey, and a nice patio. “Before actually visiting Dante, I had featured them in an article on the low ABV revolution for Drinks International. Dante is a shining example of an industry shift towards lighter aperitivo-style drinking establishments. Inspired by their travels in Italy, the team wanted to promote the European style drinking experience to New Yorkers, accustomed to sipping Old Fashioneds, even before dinner. Original founder Naren Young says that customers often hang out for hours, sipping four of five of Dante’s sessionable drinks like the Garibaldi, Americano, Spritz or lighter versions of the Negroni.Dante is an Italian aperitivo hangout done well. Think Bar Termini but on a larger scale. A staff with positive energy, comforting natural lighting throughout the bar, and skilled and happy bartenders making a better rendition of the Garibaldi than in Italy. I had such a great experience at Dante that I was tempted to visit a second time the following morning before my flight back to Milano.“

This place nails Italian food; every dish we ordered was cooked to perfection. My favorite was the rigatoni. Additionally, they have an impressive list of wines. Furthermore, the staff are stellar. Our waiter was knowledgeable, friendly, and extremely attentive. I can’t wait to come back and try more things on the menu. Keep up the excellence Locanda Verde!!!“

Everything we tried was a treat, with the beef tartare, Barolo risotto, beef cheeks and molten chocolate cake standing out as our favorites. The staff here are all engaging – particularly want to call out Nelson and say thank you for the tip top personalized service and conversation! It was a packed restaurant with couples and friend groups, seemingly everyone in high spirits. Also: points for the playlist which spanned from the Bee Gees to Fleetwood Mac – we're excited to come back!“

“Barbuto is terrific. Really cool far west village location and it's a large space with a big bar (where we had a great house martini prior to dinner, the best way to eat out). The team is friendly from the get go and we felt taken care of by the friendly staff. We went for the roast chicken and it didn't disappoint. Don't expect it to be life changing but it is among the best roast chicken in NYC: juicy with great flavor and an amazing crispy skin served with their version of a chimichurri sauce. Delicious. Also want to acknowledge the calamari salad which is maybe the best version of fried calamari I've ever had. Great place and I'm happy it's here!“

“I’m so happy our original Christmas Eve reservation was cancelled and we found this gem. It was perfect. Romantic ambience, beyond excellent service, food was delicious, drinks were strong. My boyfriend and I shared: Appetizers: -Seared scallops: I know right, scallops. Generic usually? But these were in an amazing sauce which was devoured with our side of bread. -Octopus carpaccio: Perfect amount of freshness to balance the rich scallops. Main: -The wood fired fish for two: they brought the fish out from the kitchen to show us the fish in flames and that was very cute and appreciated -Meatless Rigatoni: I seriously held on to this dish to the very last moments even though I didn’t have enough room to finish it lol I was obsessed with the sauce Dessert: - Panna Cotta: the balsamic reduction was something I did not expect with this dessert but it was magical“

“Sunday for brunch - It's my 3rd time coming here ( twice for dinner ) and this time for brunch. I was excited to come back because of my fond memories of the Prosecco and the dishes I previously had for dinner . Lunch vs dinner is different ( as all places ), my preference is always dinner but the lunch isn't too bad . We shared a salad to start , my friends had a burger and fries , risotto while I had the pasta with porcini mushroom and pasta. I decided to do half with a friend who ordered the burger as I'm a meat eater and love burgers . I wish I didn't as my pasta was the better dish ( pasta cooked al dente And the sauce was well seasoned , delicious ). The burger was medium rare as recommended by the server ( it was a bit rare for my taste). While all were tasty , the food was we're all different temperatures, the burger was cooked and was sitting there a while before served . I wasn't surprise as everything was slow ( from ordering to getting our dishes , check and paying ). I can't blame the server as he was one person with some help but for the amount of patrons , the restaurant needed more. It was disappointing but wouldn't deter me from coming back ( for dinner ) and hopefully my fond memories will remain positive z Great cute place perfect for a small group of friends , dates .“

“Had to do some Easter shopping so hot this place up . Been wanting to come here. Really cute place when you walk in its like being in a bistro in Italy . Started with clams Orengenata they were so fresh with a creamy lemon sauce . I had Veal Scaloppini with prosciutto and grilled zucchini and fontina cheese. Omg brown sauce was so good. Veal mostly tender. One piece was little chewy. We also ordered the ravioli special. They were stuffed with artichoke and cheese. Really flavorful and cooked perfectly. Prices very reasonable for the quality ingredients. Waitstaff top notch. Parking is annoying Cant wait to come back.“
