“As someone who frequented both the old and new ownership of Devil Dogs, I can confidently say that the recent changes have been nothing short of remarkable. Under the new ownership, this walk-up hot dog joint has undergone a significant transformation, both in terms of service and menu offerings. The enthusiasm of the new owner is palpable, and their eagerness to please customers is evident from the moment you step up to the counter. The service is quick, efficient, and genuinely friendly. It's clear that customer satisfaction is a top priority for them. But the improvements don't stop there. The menu has been revamped, offering a wider variety of options that cater to different tastes and preferences. Whether you're in the mood for a classic chili cheese dog or something more adventurous like a pb&j -topped creation, Devil Dogs has you covered. One of the most refreshing aspects of Devil Dogs is its commitment to staying true to its roots while also embracing innovation. Despite the upgrades, it still retains the charm and simplicity of a classic hot dog joint, making it the perfect spot for a quick bite on the go.And let's not forget about their social media presence. With a good presence on TikTok, Devil Dogs is not only keeping up with the times but also engaging with a younger audience in a fun and interactive way.Overall, Devil Dogs is a shining example of how a beloved local establishment can evolve and thrive under new ownership. I'm thrilled to see that it's still around, and I can't wait to see what delicious creations they come up with next.“

“We really enjoyed our experience at Kimika. The cocktails were amazing - unique with great flavors. I loved the kaga milk punch, shishitorita and the unami in kenmare.Dishes are a fusion of Japanese flavors in Italian style dishes, such as the sticky rice arancini served on a Japanese curry sauce. Other menu highlights were the tuna tartare, hamachi collar, truffle carbonara, rigatoni, and the steak.Dont miss the yakult soft serve for dessert!Staff were very friendly and helpful with recommendations. We were seated in a back room which felt private with so much space on the large tables.“

“Tried the TikTok viral restaurant. It used to be a Michelin one-star in 2021 and 2022. Although it has lost its Michelin star last year, I still think it’s my favorite Italian restaurant in NYC so far. Had a fantastic experience here! The salad turned out to be a game-changer. As someone who typically shies away from salads, Don Angie's version won me over with its unique flavors and freshness. Each bite was a testament to the restaurant's commitment to excellence.Don Angie lived up to its viral acclaim. My friend and I walked in at 9:15 pm, and we got seated in 20 minutes!! The noodles were cooked to perfection, not too soft with the right amount of chew. I got a side of maitake tempura as well, the batter was crunchy and the mushrooms juicy and tender, like a chicken thigh but with that distinct nuttiness. And of course the broth that lured us in was as delicious as it smelled. I'm not a New York resident but I wish I was so I could come back regularly!“

Pasta had a nice chew, anchovy bruschetta was even more of a win than anticipated, and waiter was helpful when it came to wine choice.Service became a little more relaxed as the tables filled up and one group table seemed a bit indecisive. Nowhere outside of Egypt have I tasted the authentic flavor of true tameya made with the proper ingredients. When I had the first bite of my first sandwich from here in May of 2022, I instantly cried happy tears of nostalgia for the memories and flavors of my childhood from growing up in Cairo for most of my formative years. I recently had their koshari and it was also truly fantastic and delicious. Additionally, I have not been anywhere else in the city where they have authentic baladi bread cooked like the way it is made in Egypt. “I've wanted to try gelato for the longest time but had no idea where to begin, especially given the abundance of options in NYC. Thankfully, I came across a fellow Yelp friend's glowing review of Figo and knew this was just the place. We came on a dreary day, and there were no customers when we arrived, but honestly, I was too excited to care. The interior was cute and green and gave major spring forest vibes. I did my research so I knew exactly what I wanted. My sister, on the other hand, contemplated between pistachio and caffè and ended up going with the latter. Their prices have risen slightly. It's now $7.50 (instead of $6) for a regular cup of gelato, with up to 2 flavors. The portions are huge though, so two people can easily share a cup. * Ferrero Rocher I was dead set on ordering this flavor, and it was everything I imagined it to be. Sweet, smooth, rich, and creamy, with blended Ferrero Rocher bits. I found an almost whole Ferrero Rocher piece at the bottom of my cup and loved the added crunch. * Caffè Absolutely divine and exactly how I like my coffee. This flavor perfectly balanced the sweet and creamy elements of gelato with the rich and subtle, bitter notes of dark roast coffee. Highly recommend!“

When planning the trip, Colonie caught my eye so we decided to give it a try. I’m so glad we did, because it quickly turned into the absolute highlight of our trip and was an evening we won’t forget. The service is outstanding - each individual host made us feel like family. We were never short beverages, and our space at the chefs table was kept tidy at all times - no empty plates left behind. The sous chefs are impossibly talented at what they do and gave every single plate attention and care before it left their sight. And lastly, the Chef is a true artist and extremely kind, humble person. We were delighted when he walked over to pay a visit as it was our anniversary dinner. The food is layered with exquisite, complimentary flavors that are refined and articulate but also make these dishes relatable, familiar, and remarkable at the same time. As a couple traveling foodies, I can without a doubt say this is one meal you don’t want to miss when you visit NYC. I’m just waiting to visit again and see a Michelin star outside the entrance. “Great food, the fish was very fresh and all the ingredients were incredible. Also the one piece of meat that was part of the menu was very nice. You get 13 pieces in the menu but they offer to change one thing if you do not like it. The menu costs around 75 $ which is a great price. The chefs explained the dishes nicely and were overall very attentive. We also chatted with people sitting around us, it was a very nice atmosphere. You have to make reservations in time since there are only around 10 seats.“

“We stopped by for brunch at peak hours without a reservation and the wait was only 30 min for 4 people. First of all, the Thai Tea French Toast ($15) is an absolute MUST HAVE. It was a unanimous favorite- the salted condensed milk and Thai Tea butter are heavenly. The stuffed cabbage ($25) was also a great choice because of the sauce. The phat see ew and phat Thai ($25 for beef, $24 for chicken) were solid choices, but I had expected a larger portion for that price. The disco fries ($13) and roti ($12) were okay. For drinks, we shared a punch bowl, which was STRONG and definitely enough for 4-6 people. Some dishes had a long wait and I did think the cost was high for the sizes, but I would still recommend coming at least for the French toast!“

“Very much enjoyed these dumplings! We got an ordered of fried and boiled. The fried was pork and chive, the boiled was beef. The dough wasn’t too thick and they were flavorful. The soy sauce style sauce was really good. The place itself is a hole in the wall with not much seating, however, service is quick and up a block or so is a nice seating/park area and that’s where we ate. This place is super affordable. Both of these totaled around $8.Parking: There is no dedicated parking.“

“Tea Art is a small Boba shop, but the quality of the tea is great. I came in and couldn’t decide what I wanted to drink. Andrew suggested the classic tea with oat milk. The consistency was very controlled and not too sweet. Really good! Boba was chewy. I enjoyed it a lot. If you’re in the area, check them out!“

“This coffee shop is fantastic. The salmon toast and the Belgian avocado egg and cheese were incredibly flavorful, showcasing the freshness of their ingredients. The standout, however, was the coffee, particularly the original French Toast Latte, a must-try. Despite the chilly weather today, the indoor seating area was bustling, but luckily, the friendly and attentive staff made sure everyone felt welcome and well taken care of. Plus, the convenience of credit card acceptance adds to the overall positive experience.“

“Upon moving back to Montclair this year from Los Angeles, I stumbled upon Paper Plane Coffee Co., just a few blocks from our home. Discovering this gem was like finding a new hub of community in a beautifully special place. The welcoming vibe of the cafe is palpable from the moment you step in. The space is stunning, clean, and wonderfully appointed, creating an inviting atmosphere that beckons you to linger. The service here is unparalleled; I'd give more stars if I could! Each visit leaves me more impressed, with staff consistently delivering exceptional, friendly service. The coffee? Simply outstanding. Over the past month, I've savored a variety of their beans, and whether hot or iced, each cup is a revelation. The perfectly roasted beans reveal intricate notes that are a testament to their meticulous crafting.I’m particularly fond of their pour-over options, which are available even iced – a unique treat that complements their incredible selection of beans. The consistency in quality and the use of incredibly top-shelf ingredients in their creations set them apart. The menu refreshes monthly, introducing unique offerings that demonstrate creativity and a deep passion for coffee. In my opinion, Paper Plane Coffee Co. is not just a coffee shop, but the pinnacle among coffee roasters and cafes, elevating the standard far beyond what I typically have seen even in specialty coffee or third-wave establishments I frequented. Their commitment to quality and innovation sets a benchmark that others in the industry should aspire to. Here's to many more years of success for this outstanding establishment and its exceptional team!“

“This is the easiest 5 star review I've ever left. Came here for an anniversary and the staff made it feel incredibly special. The food was divine, environment was great, and service was beyond impeccable. Anything you could want for a celebration or just a nice night out. The tasting menu was wonderful and would absolutely recommend spending the additional $10 for the custard and caviar. If you're torn between desserts go with the cake and sorbet, both are incredible but it's the more complete and balanced dish imo. Honestly thanks again to the staff for making a special night even moreso.P.s. I would buy the scallion butter by the tub if I could.“
