“A charming gem in the West Village with that quintessential neighborhood feel. The team here was warm and engaging, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. The intimate setup makes it great for a date or catching up with friends, and both the cocktails and wine list were excellent. What stood out most, though, was the creativity in the dishes, each one felt thoughtfully put together and seasonal. Recommend the black sea bass ceviche.“

“We went here for my birthday dinner and I just wanna say from the start. The interior of this place is adorable. It is super cozy feels almost like a very rustic cavity. Feel kitchen is wide open for you to see everything that we were cooking which I love I had pretty high hopes walking in here and it has a pretty good reputation. They also own the sister restaurant a penny upstairs who I think has one of the best desserts in New York City so I put this place pretty high on my expectations.
Everything my hand was decently good it was good. Nothing was mind blowing though. The pit was a starter. It was strong good portion for you get for pate and went great on the bread
The jamon or prosciutto was also really strong and delicious. However, after that, I forgot what these dishes were I can’t even name them looking at the pictures anymore. The pasta was decent. The problem is after I left this place. I almost forgot this meal totally if it wasn’t for the atmosphere. It wasn’t for the space that I loved so much. It would’ve been quite forgettable for me.
Of course, the one of the most famous things they have. Here is the chocolate cake. It is huge decadent delicious I’m not really a chocolate cake person and we definitely have to take home, but I really love eating it the next two days.
I do remember also having some kind of steak with blueberries on it. It felt great Thanksgiving and I don’t know it’s like berries on my steaks personal choice. It’s a personal choice.“

“amazing for apéro - Highlighting that the cheese plate was $22 with only one piece of cow’s milk cheese that was delicious, but not a sufficient cheese plate for that price!
Overall, very good wine and good appetizers but with small portions. Bread was good“

“Amazing and interesting menu. Each dish was exciting and fun. We realized after our meal that we accidentally ordered and ate all vegetarian. Get the cheezits and the squash rings! The schnitzel was delicious as was the carrot hummus. Whatever that chocolate caramel dessert with marshmallow on top is… GET IT! Maybe get two.“

“My wife and I went to the Grove in Los Angeles last night and we had dinner at "Sogno Toscana," an it was outstanding. It was perfect in every way; great food, great drinks, outstanding and friendly staff, beautiful location, etc. I love Italian food but I can't think of one Italian restaurant that I like, until "Sogno Toscano." The food was outstanding, and there was so much more we saw go by that we can't wait to go back and try. And the drinks were outstanding. I love martini's and they served the best martini I've ever had. Giacomo was our server and took great care of us. He's from Italy and "Sogno Toscana" brought him to America when they opened their New York restaurant, and now he's in LA for this new restaurant. Although very busy, the entire staff were very fun to be around, and most of them are Italian which is also great.“

“We stumbled into C. di Palo today and it turned into one of the most memorable experiences of our trip. This tiny, unassuming spot near Little Italy is truly a treasure. We tried five of their incredible cheeses — each one unique and delicious — and they helped pair the perfect wine for me and a fantastic beer for my husband.
The owner is the sweetest gentleman, full of knowledge about Italian wine and fine cheeses. He took the time to chat with us, sharing stories and teaching us about the different regions and traditions behind what we were tasting. It felt like a personal tour of Italy right from the counter!
If you love authentic flavors, warm hospitality, and discovering local “hole-in-the-wall” gems, this place is a must-visit. We would recommend this to anyone visiting New York and wanting a glass of wine and charcuterie and authentic Italian experience. Also this Italian family just celebrated their 100th year of business!!“

“We had a great time here with our daughter and her significant other. There was a great selection variety of happy hour small plates and wines/cocktails and we ordered additional regular menu it items as well as a bottle of wine, which was only $60. We had a "window" seat which gave us some privacy and the wait staff was outstanding.“

“Such a hospitable team!! We walked in without a reservation and were told they had a spot for us but had a reservation coming in 30 mins. They immediately made us feel welcome and even made us feel comfortable and confident we could order a few plates of food in that time. We ordered three plates that all came out quickly with enough time for us to enjoy. Every plate was uniquely Lei, perfectly balanced and seasoned.
It was a quick visit but I’m already looking forward to my return“

“Overall rating: 4.8
My friend took me to this place for after-work drinks and it’s such a cute spot for the area. While the wine was tasty & the staff was so nice, no happy hour? Not even a small one? Cmon.
Definitely want to come back for a date if I’m in the area.“

“There were no alligators in sight, unfortunately, but the service was excellent. Emma and Lena (I think) were very welcoming. I was the first drip coffee order of the day (this was around 4pm), but they were still accommodating. Convenient location, a crisp air temperature, a carefully curated bookshop. Bread upon request. Also milk and/or cream upon request. And bathroom upon request. Good service, whether requested or not. Would recommend“

“Food was really good. The Amish Chicken and Jerk Short ribs were delicious. Server was great. Kitchen seemed to get a bit backed up a peak time. That gave us an opportunity to taste their pull apart bread (whoa), which they brought out due to the wait.
We'll be going back.“

“My favorite wine bar in New York — St Jardim is a triple threat of great food & drink, atmosphere, and service. I inquired about hosting a birthday event here back in 2021 and they were highly accommodating of the request, going above and beyond to service us and make it one of my most memorable birthdays. Great place for brunch, dinner, drinks, and everything in between — a true institution over the years that I will continue to frequent!“

“We were walking the neighborhood, looking for an in-between meal. We walked in LelaBar and they were kind enough to let us in, even though we were a couple minutes early. The charcuterie and cheese bread were delicious, and exactly what we were looking for. The bartender was super nice and it felt very homey inside. Thanks for a great meal!“

“Good location, close to the Financial District. The vibe is relaxed and chill, with friendly staff and a welcoming crowd. The food looks nice and is solid, nothing mind-blowing, but decent (maybe I’m just picky after living in Japan). A good experience with friends.“
“I will be coming back immediately! The staff was incredibly kind and helpful. Shout out Stephanie - she let me charge my phone behind the bar and try the wines I was choosing between. And a beautiful outdoor seating area that was perfect for a Friday happy hour!“

“Lovely little place to have some wine and little bites or plates.
In Spain we are used to small places where you stay at the bar without sitting having dinner, a glass of wine or whatever; it was really nice having this experience in New York.
Food is good, wine as well, a bit expensive (portions are small… cheese board is a bit poor), but wait… it’s NYC it’s kind of normal.
The guys at the bar kind and smiley.
We enjoyed a lot our night and we were lucky to find a spot!“

“The mushroom pizza is to die for!! The vibes were cozy and i loved the diffused lighting. Aesthically speaking this place was very beautiful inside, we had to take a moment to pause and look at the art/architecture. The food was good, the drinks were good, and the service was quick and friendly.“

“Sunday night bartender was incredible. It was pretty quiet inside so they were able to walk us through beers they thought we might like; I definitely have some new favorites! The bar itself was great; Grown up punk-rock vibe with a projection movie on the wall. Prices were very reasonable and the soft pretzel gave me life.
There isn't a big sign outside so look for the glass door with a black antler handle!“

“Food is very good and staff very attentive though menu limited. It's too loud! Music is fine but not when you can't carry on a conversation or hear the servers. I don't understand why anyone thinks that's a good thing.“

“Fantastic wine selection and friendly staff. 😊
The glass entrance door, however, decided to make a dramatic exit and broke as I left — I ended up testing the emergency room. Highly recommend the wine; do not recommend the door's stunt work 😬“

“The food and drinks were yummy, but this place gets bonus points as well for the staff. I had a weird medical episode and I lost my vision while I was waiting in line for the bathroom, and the hostess and other staff members helped me out and were so kind about it! I was embarrassed, but they seemed to be genuinely concerned and wanting to help, so that made me feel a lot better. Will definitely be back!“

“I’m honestly conflicted. While I want to give this place a rave review, I also don’t want it to get as crowded as it should be. 😁
The food is great! I was actually on my way to an other place & took a moment to peek at their menu & saw the raclette which immediately made me change my plans.
It was absolutely the right decision!
Not just is the food lovely though, with a nice variety of selections, but it is chic yet cozy & the service is outstanding. Ross was behind the bar and serving & he couldn’t have been kinder & more accommodating to my allergies.
So, you should absolutely give it a try if you are looking for a solidly good, low key place, with great vibes and food to match.“

“Like a brief escape to Europe, but infused with the unmistakable charm of the Lower East Side. Skin Contact is the perfect stop along the car-free stretch of Orchard Street. The service was impeccable — Keira guided us with ease and expertise to the perfect glass from their beautifully curated wine list. With alllll the professionalism, sass and absolute attention to detail.
There’s something about a soft breeze on a July Sunday in New York, sipping Vitovska on the sidewalk at Skin Contact, that makes it all feel a little more bearable — maybe even hopeful.
Thanks, Keira. We’ll be back.“

“My friends & I went to Vinoteca last week and had such a wonderful time. The wine is very refreshing & delicious!! I love the fact that it’s self-served. To top it off, the food was out of this world!!! The staff was very kind & attentive and I would recommend Vinoteca to all, but, most importantly to all the wine lovers. You would soon make this your to go to place. We had such a great time last week, we will be doing it again this weekend. Come along, hopefully I’ll see you there!!“

“Excellent service and food. Accommodating for dietary needs. They even took our group earlier than our reservation which was much appreciated as we were all from out of town and heading home immediately following lunch.
