“My friend and I ordered:Seafood pancakeDolsot Al bapDuck bulgogiSpicy monkfishCorn creme bruleeI would definately go back for the dolsot al bap and spicy monk fish dishes. The dolsot comes w a beautiful uni creme combined with the crispy bits of rice and textural experience of the fish roe was amazing. The Spicy monk fish had ~4 to 5 small pieces coated with smokey/spicy sauce and some veggies mixed w rice was a great combo.I personally judge a place on how crispy the seafood pancakes are and this was CRISPY. Definately would get again, it was also full of big chunks of seafood which is always a plus. The duck bulgogi was the least memoriable. It had the texture of duck but mainly just tastes like regular bulgogi.Corn creme brulee was sweet but overly sweet with a minimal corn flavor and some corn bits at the bottom.Service:9/10The waitress helping us get seatted for our rsvp were accomodating with grtting a seat closer to the wall vs the aisle. Our waiter was informative and had great sense when asking if we wanted to take any pictures/videos before mixing the Al bap for us.Also advising both of us to get two dishes before we ordered was helpful. Before peak hours, the atmosphere was pleasant. But, the tables are very close together and when its packed during peak hours it can be challenging speaking to one another due to the level of noise/conversation.“
“We were a brunch party of 12 at 12. Friendly warm staff greeted us as soon as we arrived. Every staff member was attentive. I mean everyone in passing acknowledged us with a friendly smile and asked if our needs were being met.The food was delicious ! Every one of our dishes from waffles, pancakes, steak, fried rice , everything that came from the kitchen to our table was great.Thank you QueensBoro we really had a great experience.“
“This last Saturday, had an amazing dining experience at Osamil. The weather outside was really bad and we reached Osamil only to find the place completely packed. I thought the wait time is going to be really long, but the manager found us a table pretty swiftly. And that feeling of happiness at being seated promptly in a packed place was only the beginning! Everything we ordered was delicious, including the simple fries. I didn't try to cocktails this time round because we were thirsty for some soju that evening. But, definitely going to return.Vegetarian options: The restaurant has vegetarian and vegan options. I am not a vegetarian but on this night, I had Mushroom japchae, which is a vegetarian dish.Dietary restrictions: The waitress, who took our order asked us about any allergies and when I mentioned that I have seafood allergy, she went to great details to understand the extent of my allergies. Moreover, she ensured at the kitchen that my food won't have any oyster sauce.“
“One thing I will say about The Bonnie is incredible atmosphere, food & service. Went to The Bonnie for Sunday Brunch, and despite being packed, service did not dwindle. The drinks were phenomenal and the Eggs Benedict was delicious. My partner and her friend had dirty martinis and loved “
“Been here 4 times. I declare take 31 to be the top one on my list of Korean food in New York! The creamy udon pasta is super delicious and is my favorite dish. The creamy sauce is very rich and you won’t get tired of it even if you eat the whole plate. We have tried all three kinds of rice balls, and our favorite is the tuna fish rice ball. The 5 big pieces are full of sincerity and are so satisfying when paired with refreshing kimchi; the honey fried chicken has a sweet coating, and the mustard sauce it comes with is even more remarkable, retaining the mustard flavor without being spicy; the yogurt-flavored Rice wine has more flavor than banana flavor! It’s especially cool; the pork neck meat will be a little fatty; the corn tortillas have caramel adhering to the corn kernels, which are sweet and crispy, especially delicious! !“
“Great small place, this please can be come my next Cheers. Locals are great and very welcoming to new comers and give you great recommendations. Great selection of beers and very good food, I would come again. The owner operates the bar and he is very accommodating with great beer knowledge.“
“It was a brisk day and we were offered outside- which we took rather than wait. I am not sure I would have been comfortable with all of the taxidermy. Sort of creepy- vegetarians, beware. Our server was the right amount of attention.Food- tasty- squash toast. Fun sort of asian? Flavor- maybe too much mint [I had to remove half of it- there was a LOT]. Side of bacon to share$35 each- coffee, squash toast, 1/2 bacon. COST- NYC PRICES.Coffee- sour- didn't finish even half....booooooooo!Sort of sunday out fancy.“
“I stopped doing reviews in maps, but after eating this dish I felt I had to share this hidden gem. The medium rare stake is one of the best meat dishes I have tasted lately. High quality meat, well cooked and the cauliflower combination is a gift to the soul. Definitely if you go you need to try “
“Great meal. My daughter and I shared the Brussels sprouts salad and the fig, prosciutto and blue cheese pizza. She had the Montauk Mule and I had Orange Blossom drink. Everything was fabulous. Theo was a great server. We are outside because it was a nice day. Inside was a cool and small but the music would have been a smidge loud for us to have good conversation.“
“What a fantastic space to meet with friends and loved ones and not be afraid to get a little loud (nothing over-the-top, though - let’s be mindful of those around us! Lol). The staff is highly attentive and the food is absolutely delicious. It’s a wonderful spot to convene after seeing a show (or being in one). I would highly recommend this place as an “is what it is” kind of atmosphere- without any “aires or attitude.”Vegetarian options: I highly recommend the cauliflower meal.“
“Laura & team really have the whole “hospitality” thing down. From start to finish, our service was fantastic and the meal was delicious in every way! The garlic noodles with the steak were so amazing. The steak was cooked to perfection and the noodles had such amazing flavor. The noodles normally come spicy but we opted to put the “spice” on the side and they were supper accommodating. We also got the veggie pancake which is amazing EVERY SINGLE TIME. So so so good. All of the flavors at Bricolage are fresh and really wow the taste buds. We will be back :)Dietary restrictions: Lots of gluten free options“
“Came here on a Friday night around 7 and the bar area on the first floor was packed. We were seated on the second floor which also had a crowded bar area. The waiter was super friendly and recommended us the Korean steak sandwich and fried fish burger which were a nicely sized and flavored. The thin fries were great. Make sure you ask for chipotle mayo and hot sauce! 2000’s playlist brought me back to memories. The 18th hazy ipa paired well with the main dishes“
“I came here on a weekday evening with a friend (made a resy prior). The ambiance gives off a cozy spot with a grungy, hip vibe, featuring neon lights and a selection of R&B and classic rock music and the service is friendly, adding to the inviting experience.Overall I'd say the cuisine is an inventive Korean-New York fusion dishes that offer a modern twist on traditional flavors, and has a blend of comfort food and pub grub.We ordered THE EP along with some other dishes:- Nowon Fried Chicken - 3/5 wasn't outstanding but wasn't bad either!- Lil baby kale salad - 3/5 a bit too salty when we had it- Whipped Ricotta Toast - 4/5 would recommend if you like ricotta- Extraordinary tots - 4/5 I'm a sucker for anything fries-related so this was good- Chopped cheese rice cakes - 4/5 would recommend- Legendary cheeseburger - 3/5 unsure if I was overly hyped up about it but it turned out ok- Creme brulee - 3/5In summary, I'd recommend this place if you live around the area.“
“Food was spot on for our party of 8! I sat down to join my friends who had already eaten and was impressed that I didn’t have to hunt anyone down. Everyone was friendly and attentive. Both my Bao Bun and Old Fashion were enjoyable and hit the spot. Great vibe, good music, and tasty bites!“
“A fun place to get drinks and fried chicken. I really enjoyed the half and half (half spicy and half soy garlic) wings and drumsticks platter. It’s the perfect amount for sharing with friends. We also got the seafood pancake which was delicious!“
“Came for "girl dinner" and was so happy with this choice. Staff were very friendly, drinks were served promptly for a Friday night and the food was delicious and portion size was more than enough, especially for tapas. Will be back next time I'm in Midtown!“
“My group had a great time at Sweet Afton. We went there on a Wednesday evening (7PM). We booked reservations through Resy, but was able to find a great table when we got there. Our server was very cool and gave us pretty good tips on food to order, was okay with asking the chef for modifications to our order, and was attentive to our needs.I always have a good time at Sweet Afton, so happy to say that the service and food/drinks are staying consistently well.“
“We just had our engagement party there and not only was it an easy process, but the staff was also friendly and professional every step of the way. Everyone kept commenting on what a great space it was for the party and the food and drinks were delicious. Highly recommend.“
“I was a regular at Pete's in the 1980's. A young family and a move to the suburbs turned me into a less frequent but loyal visitor for decades. A move to North Carolina and the pandemic had me away for five years. But, I returned again in 2023 and the magic of Pete's was truly the same as it ever was. Every employee seems to understand their role in making Pete's feel like home to every guest. Congratulations on your continuing success.“
“Nestled between Koreatown and FlatIron, just a stone's throw north of bustling Washington Square Park, you'll find a hidden treasure to locals - the John Doe gastropub. Stepping into John Doe sets the stage for an intimate yet lively experience that rivals any in New York City. With its friendly staff greeting you like an old friend, it's no wonder this spot feels like home from the moment you walk in. But don't let the snug ambiance fool you - John Doe is where the party's at, regardless of the time or season. There's an undeniable energy that permeates the air, a vibrant buzz that's both infectious and comforting. Whether you're here for a midday lunch or a late-night snack, the atmosphere is always charged with good vibes. The happy hour at John Doe is nothing short of legendary - 11 AM to 8 PM! It's a marathon that offers unbeatable deals for the weary traveler or the city regular looking to unwind. And let's talk about the oysters - they're fresh, and served up at the irresistible price of a dollar each, every single day. In a city that never sleeps, where choices abound, John Doe gastropub is a haven for those in the know. Whether you're a local or just passing through, John Doe is the no-brainer choice for a friendly and solid spot to kick back and recharge. Don't miss out on this quintessential New York experience!“
“Everything was pretty good… except our bartender (Brian?) kept playing “Perfect” by Simple Plan over and over again while lip synching into a shaker tin and crying softly to himself. He asked us if we wanted our espresso martinis “special” and we said sure and then proceeded to watch him drop a few tears into the tin before shaking and serving to us. It was actually pretty good. Would return.“
“We sat at the bar for happy hour and we had a great time! We made reservations for a party of 3 and we are glad we did because it got busy really quick. All the servers were attentive and made sure we were good and everything was good. Natalia served us and she was such a sweetheart! We definitely plan to go back there!“
“Fun brunch spot to get food and drinks at. Well priced, and dishes were quite large portioned. I liked the crispy eggplant parm better than the grits (too cheesy). Table next to us got Mac n cheese which looked really good. The energy of the restaurant is on the high side with loud music playing.“
“Very good. The oysters were fresh, the drinks were tasty and the service was patient and welcoming (last time for some reason they made us order everything and once and things were not delivered in a proper order or in a timely fashion. This time was much much better). They were very accomdating and put us in the rear booth when I asked for a somewhat quieter locations (still extremely loud and they should turn down the music when the crowd noise gets too much). Brick chicken very nicely cooked as was the sea bass. Recommended.“
“dang!!!!! i’m not the one to crave a burger or even american food in general but nowon just hits different. kimchi lovers PULL UP!!not pictured, but i love the chop cheese tteokbokki. get that too.atmosphere is fun and hip. the bushwick location is much better for dinner with multiple people. the menu pricing is up there, so bring friends to share apps with & be prepared for a pricy burger. it’s worth it though“
“This place is a hidden gem that presents a vision of what going to the movies should be like. Tickets are extremely affordable and the food and beverage are top-notch. Only wish they could show more movies!!Vegetarian options: TRY THE SWEET CHILI CAULIFLOWER“
“While I didn’t eat here, the food looked solid. Having said that the place is perfect. Atmosphere is authentic and original….service matched ambiance. The urinals should be the standard, unfortunately in many cases design and materials have gotten worse over time. Booths are perfect too…“
“I love this bar! i was originally recommended to choose this bar from my cousin and i have no regrets! I had my birthday party here a couple years ago and all my friends enjoyed their time! We were allowed to make a shared playlist for the bartenders to use for us for the duration of the night which you can’t do at a lot of places! The drinks, atmosphere and over all vibes were amazing. So much so that I planned another event recently and had no complaints! Originally we had the couches and Aaron had gone ahead and upgraded us to the back room. The back room is where the party is at! We had our own servers coming in and out making sure we were never empty handed and also had control of the music in the room. Overall it was a 10/10 experience and I will most definitely continue to come back and host more events here! We loved Aaron, Lucia and Sassy who were so interactive and made sure everything went smoothly for our party. Definitely recommend this bar to anyone thinking of hosting a special event!“
“Came with a Large group on a rainy saturday while they werent too busy, we stormed in 30 deep and inundated them immediately. As I sat down at the bar my GF and I looked over and saw the bartender busy taking and making drinks, we figured we'd have to wait a while, but after a breif period the bartemder appeared infront of us ready to take our order. No fighting to be seen. We ordered and the drinks were prepared as youd expect a professional bar tender would.Upon realizing they had food I asked if the kitchen was still open...at 1:18am...no shot right? Wrong! The kitchen was open and they had a pretty varied menu. I ordered wings and fries, classic bar food and the food was brought out shortly. The wings were hitting, fresh and crispy; fried well, the amount of bars that mess this up is astounding, But they HIT. The fries were crisp and delicious served with a nice chiptole mayo. Some of the best food I have had at a local sit down bar.Definitley worth a look and can absolutley handle a group.“
“This place is everything! The music is good, the food/service is bomb & the drinks are delicious. They let us pick our own song requests & checked up on us the entire time we were there. Neeeeed to come back when there’s live music!“
“Great happy hour, amazing beer selection, and good food. You’d think the bartenders here would be pretentious because of all the fancy beer but they are really friendly and happy to give you recommendations. Worth a trip out if you’re a craft beer fan. Lots of rare stuff.“
“Excellent food, excellent service, and great selection of adult beverages!A very convenient way of reserving a table at this rather small place, where you can call 20 minutes before you arrive, and the kind staff will hold a table for you for about 10 minutes. Exactly what we did for a table of four for a Sunday late brunch. The place is tiny and while it has outdoor seating, it's probably best for the same in summer. They have good cocktails and a good selection of beers on tap.We ordered coffees ($3), Grilled Cheese ($17) which lacked taste, Burrito Wrap ($17) which we ordered with Chimichurri truffle fries (extra $4) - which were absolutely delicious, a very tasty Portobello Burger ($15) which also felt light on the stomach, and Tacos (3 for $15) which were good.Service was good and food arrived within 20 minutes. Noise level was on the average side, and our server Joseph ensured that everything went smooth during our stay here for about an hour or so. Overall, a good experience, and we will certainly drop by again during summer!Vegetarian options: Limited Options for Vegetarians“
“We are a group of 8 from Queens and Long Island. We ordered the pre-fixe menu. The price was very reasonable and it offered a lot of food. The service was exceptional and the staff made us feel special. The atmosphere and the fine wine made us more comfortable and relaxed. The food was delicious, a special mention to the Bronzino and the Beignets! The restaurant and the experience were definitely worth the drive!“
“I decided to check this spot out on a whim around two years ago, and since then Bee has been my go-to spot to grab a coffee and to sit and get some work done. The staff here is incredibly friendly and accommodating, and the ambience - from the decor to the lighting and the music - is incredibly warm and inviting. I love that customers have the option of selecting from various types of seating including swerving stools, booths, tables, couches in both indoor seating and outdoor seating. My personal favorite is the beautiful Bee garden in the back end of the cafe which offers "outdoor" seating which is closed off but still gives you the option of getting some sunlight. Off the menu, my favorite is the Kimchi fries. I have already introduced multiple of my friends and family to Bee, and would recommend anyone to check out this spot if they can.“
“The apps and entree are terrific!!Mike, the bartender, knows his stuff and is one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet!@Parking: The parking lot is small but lots of street parking is available. But who cares the drinks, bartender, and food are terrific!!“
“Decent bar, with a cool but chilled vibe. Not too busy and the food was great. We tried the wings and pancakes, which were both great with the wings being a bit too spicy but that was probably what Korean food was about. We did not do karaoke but overall it was worth the “
“First time in a pub and first time watching a rugby game, I wasn't feeling well, so I ordered the chicken soup. It was so delicious, reminded me of my grandma's soup. My daughter ordered the Buffalo wings and a chicken sandwich, which she enjoyed. We also tried the pork sliders tasty but super salty. We will definitely eat here again.“
“With lots of options in the area, this popped up and I'm glad we stopped in. Ambiance is elevated dive bar? Lots of board games in the back. High tops in front and a large bench with stools in the back. College age kids and young adults. We only had drinks so can't comment on food. Drinks were very affordable and cocktails were standard. Nothing special. And definitely not speakeasy level. Service was a bit confusing and it looked like they were short staffed. There looked like only one person managing the tables so we weren't served and had to go to the bar. So in that sense service could be improved but we didn't mind going to the bar and getting our own drinks. Overall, good place to grab a drink with friends in a laid back environment.“
“Had the paper plane cocktail and the crispy fish tacos. Pretty standard, but I have a bias for fish tacos, so standard fish tacos are 4 ⭐ by default in my book. Minor knock is that the slaw, mayo, and relish together were a little strong and kind of overwhelmed the fish. Why is it so dark? I get it, but I also don't get it ? low light has its merits, but this was super dark ? (the camera make the photos/videos look brighter than the lighting in reality)“
“Great atmosphere, decent drinks!Walked in for some drinks on a sunday afternoon and wasn't too packed. We got the Hot Toddys and Margaritas with an order of fries. The fries' portion was too small in my opinion but I really liked their Hot Toddys - not too sweet and a bit more lemony.“
“Definitely don't sleep on this place! I came all the way from Queens to try this place before going to fun with friends. This place had no A/c and was hot as zxcysbd!! But, these tacos were everything. The hot sauce was phenomenal and the spicy margaritas were everything! The waitress was so sweet and made the best suggestions. Definitely order the tostones with that garlic sauce Mayo thing“
“After brunch, my date and I went here for drinks. I am not all that familiar with West Village so it was nice finding all these places via date. This place is your normal bar moment. Nothing fancy, but they aren't trying to be fancy. The minute I walked in, I had eye contact with someone that looked familiar. I was not sure where I saw him, but I felt like he was somewhat famous. I was a bit tipsy from brunch so I went to the restroom and scanned through my very little knowledge of celebrities. Then it hit me, How I Met Your Father. He was one of the actors from there. I asked Spencer, our cool bartender, if the actor was who I thought he was. "Keep it cool" is what he said, which I thought was hilarious. He wasn't Gisele Bundchen so I wasn't going to fan girl over him. I did take a sneaky pic for the gram, but that was all (millennial in me couldn't resist). If I am being honest, that day turned to night is a blur. I remember up until that point, but I do not remember what I drank here. All I know is I didn't mind just continuing my drinking moment here and Spencer was just great. However, accordingly to my date, he liked my date more than me. It is fine, we all can be friends. If you just want a casual drink, go here and say hi to Spencer. Will definitely be going back here.“
“My favorite gluten-free spot. The food is delicious and seasonal, so you know you're getting the best ingredients. They also make some mean cocktails. Well worth an evening out with friends.Dietary restrictions: Gluten, shellfish, peanuts“
“I had a birthday party there on Saturday night, November 4. 50 of my closest friends and family were there and raved about everything. The food is out of this world. If you haven’t dined there, do yourself a favor and get there as quickly as you can. Danny runs a very welcoming place for people to gather and share stories. JoJo and Ryan behind the bar are so friendly and accommodating and last night the Koverups played, which just was the icing on the cake. Fabulous band! Will go Back. Danny, thank you for everything, best party where the memories will remain with me forever.❤️❤️❤️❤️“
“Loved visiting this place with a friend for brunch! The food was great for the price and it has such a cozy vibe. The drinks are a good price as well during brunch and I would love to come back again alone or with friends. It’s small and the seating is a bit tight but it’s a good place to hang out. Definitely give it a try if you are in the area! The brunch burger was delicious and cooked how I like it but the main star for me were the truffle fries.“
“Cozy, dark (love a dark bar!), very reasonable Happy Hour prices. $9 house red, $4.50 one braised pork slider with smoked coleslaw (they let you buy ONE!). Just the right snack before hitting the subway home. Nice service. Was greeted by the manager as I walked in. Admittedly, he and a coworker were setting up the front picnic tables, but he still took a moment to smile and say hello. The little things matter. Music is upbeat and changes quickly, so if you don't love one song the next may be your cuppa tea.The people next to me are having some kind of whiskey cocktail that comes with a lid bearing smoke ... smells devine.Come here after visiting Wall Street and Century21!“
“We celebrated my son’s birthday here, made reservation, had drinks and brought a cake. Philip was our server. He was the NICEST guy, courteous, attentive, did everything he could to make the event pleasurable for everyone. I highly recommend the Malt House. It’s a beautiful place as well. I will definitely be back for a meal. . Thank you so much for making my son’s birthday so memorable, Philip. You are AWESOME! … Zirka“
“The food is nothing short of AMAZING....prices for the size are reasonable.....a burger, colossal chicken sandwich, plus a specialty fry meal which can be good by itself, 2 alcoholic drinks in was about 75$, quality was outstanding, flavors was flavorful, and well worth the money...the average item is between about $15 a peice and cooked to perfection....do yourself a favor and give these guys a try. You won't regret it.“
“An inexpensive spot next to the Marriott Hotel. I came in and had the vesper martini from the happy hour and the burger sliders. The sliders are good despite them being on an English muffin. The bartender was attentive and nice which I enjoyed. The space seems pretty spacious. I would come back to try a full dinner!“
“This restaurant got me impressed with the food quality and service. I did not expected to be this good. Our server went above and beyond and the food was unexpectedly great. Love the classic theme and the music choice. I did recommended it already to some friends. I am not local anymore, but greetings from Florida and great job.“
