She even shared the history of ackee and i thought that was so nice and gave us some to try with our meal. I mean i will 1000% be back.“

“After moving to Bergen County I was on a mission to find the best Jamaican food spot. I’m from Queens, NY and I miss my South Ozone Park / West NY food.

I go to a gym nearby and just randomly found this spot and thank goodness I did.

The food is really good, everything is well balanced in terms of flavor and the hospitality is great.

We’ve all seen that “we don have dat” video and this is the opposite. If he doesn’t have it, give him a minute to work his magic. Your patience will be rewarded.

If you like good seasoned food, just give it a try, you won’t be disappointed. I know I wasn’t. I’ll be coming here every time I crave oxtails and fried chicken.“

“Oxtail was a 10/10, absolutely amazing, and all the sides were great. I wasn’t a big fan of the brown stew chicken (the chicken itself was a bit dry), but the stew was rich and flavorful.
The atmosphere was perfect for a date night or a calm dinner. The owner’s wife even stopped by to let us know they have jazz on some Fridays and weekends, which was a really nice touch. They’re still new, so please be kind — but the FOOD WAS GOOD.We also tried the mango mint non-alcoholic drink, which was refreshing and delicious. Definitely worth checking out!“

“I was unfamiliar with this restaurant, but my husband received a gift card from his colleagues at his retirement party. We came for Valentine's Day and were very pleased with the choice! We started with Old Fashioned and Fried Green Tomatoes. Perfect batter and crunch. The bacon jam gave the perfect amount of bite. Mr. TSwi had fish (sorry - no photo). I had the garlic clove stuffed filet. It was fork-tender and so delicious. Potatoes fried in tallow butter were decadent. We had the Bread Pudding for dessert - and the leftover for breakfast Sunday morning. Overall, great value for the quality of the food. Not ridiculously expensive. Not ostentatious (TSwi wore jeans and a blazer and was well-dressed compared to others.) We will look forward to coming back again soon.“

“Popped in for some food after hitting the pool - everything was so fresh. I got the fritura and was blessed with a massive portion of fried, fresh, incredible meats, cheese, and plantains. The chicken was so moist and juicy, the chicharron was deeply flavorful and had me floored; truly so fresh, tasted like a mama made it for me. My partner got the pernil and it was also incredible. 10/10!!!“

“We ordered a pretty large takeout order and the food was incredible! My Dominican and Mexican parents can be really picky so we were really nervous. They loved the Moro and yucca in particular. All the meats were really good and our favorite was the pork and ropa vieja. The only thing (not well pictured) we weren’t a fan of was the tamale but one thing out of so much hardly bothered us. Stuffed avocados with shrimp ceviche will be something I always remember. Delivered with care and I’m sure we will order in the future again.“

It was truly the best experience I've had at a restaurant in a very very long time and it was thanks to our waiter Jesus. He was very attentive and helpful. He saw that we had small children and helped us with their order first and then proceeded to take the rest of our orders. He really loved his job and was very warm and kind. The establishment as a whole is very nice and classy. Very grown and sexy. The music is perfect and the food was very good! The oxtail Lo Mein was so good. My go-to meal is the jerkD wings with collard greens and yams, plus extra jerk sauce on the side because the flavor is just THAT good. The wings are crispy, juicy, packed with flavor, and the jerk sauce takes everything to another level. The collard greens and yams taste homemade and perfectly seasoned.

“I run the Bayonne Chess Society & Club. We have over 300 members in three month. We're on Facebook. I went here to see if they were open to having a chess night. It seemed like they didn't know much about chess.Anyway, the food looked good. The place is brightly lit, airy, and clean. I ordered a Cuban sandwich to eat there. It took a while, it wasn't that busy, but I was in no hurry, as I was walking around looking for more venues for the club to host events.One of their employees arrived with the sandwich. It was DELICIOUS. I had a coconut soda as my drink. Definitely recommend this place.I also recommend our huge chess club. No experience necessary. All ages can join.Look us up. We play at Joe's Pizza, Chubby's, Cafe 26, Houlihan's, Bayown's Vendor Mart. We have other locations that are waiting for us to go play there.The chess is free. The venue isn't. Please patronize the venue.But, if you're looking for some excellent Spanish food...Karibbean is an excellent choice.“

Everything here was priced more affordably compared to any of the other Dominican spots on 138th street and in the neighborhood. Big plates. Also, they cater to the blue collar crowd. Lunch food is ready by 9:30AM. Perfect lunch spot if you're a city worker, construction, etc.“

The owner was very accommodating in short notice. The buffet that was laid out was just what we ordered. Place was very clean and the service from the staff was amazing. Really can’t say enough about that part. From the picking up of finished plates, them coming around with multiple fruit options, opening up for us 20 mins early so we weren’t in the blazing sun, and the show of support in our time of grieving. “I saw that one review from the person saying their oxtail was bad, but saw a plethora of positive reviews standing against it. I decided to give them a go and do NOT regret it! Lovely little spot for a late night meal! The cashier was very pleasant with a great attitude. I came by after finding my Airbnb and ordered 3 empanadas: Jerk Chicken, Salmon, & Oxtail. This is not a standard menu option, but she told me I could mix and match :)

I loved it!!! WONDERFULLY tasty food and a perfect crisp to the empanadas - not too hard and not too soft/mushy. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!“
