Ranea was a wonderful server. She made sure my hibiscus mojito was perfectly balanced, tangy, yet sweet. Hours later, I'm still thinking about that drink!

For appetizers, I had the codfish fritters with guacamole on the side. They were hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious. For dinner, we shared the sampler platter, and everything came out hot and full of flavor. The jerk chicken was smoked to perfection, and the oxtail was so tender it literally fell off the bone.

Negril Village, right in the heart of the West Village, is a must-visit. Whether you're grabbing a bite before a comedy show, stopping in afterward, or simply looking for a great place to relax and enjoy the vibe, this spot never disappoints.“

I go to a gym nearby and just randomly found this spot and thank goodness I did.

The food is really good, everything is well balanced in terms of flavor and the hospitality is great.

We’ve all seen that “we don have dat” video and this is the opposite. If he doesn’t have it, give him a minute to work his magic. Your patience will be rewarded.

If you like good seasoned food, just give it a try, you won’t be disappointed. I know I wasn’t. I’ll be coming here every time I crave oxtails and fried chicken.“

“Came to Continent Brooklyn for a late dinner and cocktails with some girlfriends and we had such a good time! The atmosphere is definitely one of the highlights — sexy, grown, and sophisticated without feeling stuffy. There were lots of couples enjoying date night along with a few other groups of girlfriends, and the DJ was great and kept the vibes going all night.

The food was absolutely the star. We shared several dishes, including the oxtail lo mein, salmon, mac & cheese and wings, and everything was flavorful and delicious. We finished with dessert, which was just as good. Definitely come hungry!

The cocktails were probably the one area that didn’t quite live up to the rest of the experience. They weren’t bad, but considering how good the food and overall atmosphere were, I expected the drinks to be a little stronger/better.

That said, we had a great night. Between the food, music, beautiful interior and lively atmosphere, Continent is a great choice for a late dinner, date night or girls’ night out. I would absolutely come back“

“So, my buddy asked if I had been to this hot new restaurant called Markette. My friends and I had tried to get reservations a few weeks ago, on a Saturday night, but it was booked solid. After having the pleasure of eating there, I understand why.
For starters, the space is beautiful. It reminded me of that Starbucks in Paris that's in a former bank building, with its high ceilings, ornate chandeliers , gorgeous hand painted murals and a sexy up lit bar.
We ordered the codfish fritters (they were ok, too much potato and not enough fish, but the sauce they were served with was very tasty) Braised Oxtail Gratin (delicious!!) Lamb and Roti ( the lamb was cooked to perfection and the sauce it was nestled in was good enough to eat alone, but it arrived to our table cold) For dessert, we shared the Soursop Trifle, which we were super excited about trying 'cause it's rare to find the delicious soursop on a menu. Unfortunately, it was rare locating it in the trifle too. The overwhelming flavor was the pineapple, which was cleverly made red by soaking it, in hibiscus juice. It was tasty, for sure, but too overpowering for the delicate soursop.
I'd rate the food a solid 8 and am looking forward to trying more of it. You should go.“

“We came to Patrick’s on the Hill for an early dinner, and WOW — everything was soooo good! We started with the jerk wings and Jamaican beef patties, and both were absolutely delicious and packed with flavor.

But the Rasta Pasta with oxtails was the star of the meal! We learned that it’s made from the owner’s mom’s recipe, which made it even more special. The oxtails were tender and flavorful, and the pasta was incredible. You can tell this is food made with love and family tradition.

Our server Tatiana was so kind, helpful, and welcoming and really made us feel at home. Between the amazing Jamaican food and the wonderful hospitality, this place is definitely worth a visit.

We will absolutely be back — and I’m already thinking about that Rasta Pasta with oxtails! 🇯🇲❤ ⭐⭐⭐⭐“

“The chef deserves a medal for grinding and cooking in this heat wave in such small quarters. The heat didn't affect his attitude at all though! He was so pleasant. I ordered the small ox tail plate that came with rice and beans and 2 big pieces of sweet plantain. I requested the Jamaican slaw which was a mixture of macaroni and cabbage and seasoning that I loved. The mac n cheese was exactly what a mac n cheese should be. Dense and delicious! The neighborhood really benefits from people like this sharing their culture and flavor so thank you!“

“I saw that one review from the person saying their oxtail was bad, but saw a plethora of positive reviews standing against it. I decided to give them a go and do NOT regret it! Lovely little spot for a late night meal! The cashier was very pleasant with a great attitude. I came by after finding my Airbnb and ordered 3 empanadas: Jerk Chicken, Salmon, & Oxtail. This is not a standard menu option, but she told me I could mix and match :)

I loved it!!! WONDERFULLY tasty food and a perfect crisp to the empanadas - not too hard and not too soft/mushy. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!“

“A big shout out to my best latin place in Hoboken: Chango Kitchen. Traditional yummy latin dishes. Our faves are churrasco con chimichurri (skirt steakgrilled) and ropa vieja (shredded beef). “I run the Bayonne Chess Society & Club. We have over 300 members in three month. We're on Facebook. I went here to see if they were open to having a chess night. It seemed like they didn't know much about chess.Anyway, the food looked good. The place is brightly lit, airy, and clean. I ordered a Cuban sandwich to eat there. It took a while, it wasn't that busy, but I was in no hurry, as I was walking around looking for more venues for the club to host events.One of their employees arrived with the sandwich.
