I sound... Extremely pretentious right now, but it's a luxurious and excellent place to eat that takes you surprisingly few dollars. (My dad got the Arroz con Pollo de la Charrera, and I got the «El Poquito de Todo», we both got deserts, and we didn't crack 50 bucks.)

We're certainly not from the area. Me and my father are going on a roadtrip from Tennessee (we drove up to NYC in 1.5 days!!) to Vermont, to use every single day of my Fall Break. So, considering that, it's unfair for me to recommend it over other places here. I'll get around that by recommending it over every place this side of the Mississippi!

Seriously. You aren't gonna regret eating here. The mains are amazing, extremely flavorful and well-seasoned without being overly strong. The plantains, especially, are literally good enough to make you cry. The pastel de tres leches is also nothing short of phenomenal. I'm not a drinker, but they had a very extensive collection of high-branded wines and a lovely looking bar.

Any dish you try here will change your life. Go on! Try it!“

“After moving to Bergen County I was on a mission to find the best Jamaican food spot. I’m from Queens, NY and I miss my South Ozone Park / West NY food.

I go to a gym nearby and just randomly found this spot and thank goodness I did.

The food is really good, everything is well balanced in terms of flavor and the hospitality is great.

We’ve all seen that “we don have dat” video and this is the opposite. If he doesn’t have it, give him a minute to work his magic. Your patience will be rewarded.

If you like good seasoned food, just give it a try, you won’t be disappointed. I know I wasn’t. I’ll be coming here every time I crave oxtails and fried chicken.“

Greta was knowledgeable about the menu and offered delicious drink options tailored to our preferences. The fritters & oxtail were the highlights of the night! The prawns were also a 10/10. “Came to Continent Brooklyn for a late dinner and cocktails with some girlfriends and we had such a good time! The atmosphere is definitely one of the highlights — sexy, grown, and sophisticated without feeling stuffy. There were lots of couples enjoying date night along with a few other groups of girlfriends, and the DJ was great and kept the vibes going all night.

The food was absolutely the star. We shared several dishes, including the oxtail lo mein, salmon, mac & cheese and wings, and everything was flavorful and delicious. We finished with dessert, which was just as good. Definitely come hungry!

The cocktails were probably the one area that didn’t quite live up to the rest of the experience. They weren’t bad, but considering how good the food and overall atmosphere were, I expected the drinks to be a little stronger/better.

That said, we had a great night. Between the food, music, beautiful interior and lively atmosphere, Continent is a great choice for a late dinner, date night or girls’ night out. I would absolutely come back“

“We came to Patrick’s on the Hill for an early dinner, and WOW — everything was soooo good! We started with the jerk wings and Jamaican beef patties, and both were absolutely delicious and packed with flavor.

But the Rasta Pasta with oxtails was the star of the meal! We learned that it’s made from the owner’s mom’s recipe, which made it even more special. The oxtails were tender and flavorful, and the pasta was incredible. You can tell this is food made with love and family tradition.

Our server Tatiana was so kind, helpful, and welcoming and really made us feel at home. Between the amazing Jamaican food and the wonderful hospitality, this place is definitely worth a visit.

Lovely little spot for a late night meal! The cashier was very pleasant with a great attitude. I came by after finding my Airbnb and ordered 3 empanadas: Jerk Chicken, Salmon, & Oxtail. This is not a standard menu option, but she told me I could mix and match :)
