“Wait staff was friendly and you were not pushed to finish dinner. We had the shrimp po' boy and the grilled ribeye open face steak sandwich. I asked for my French fries to be extra crispy and they were delicious. After driving for almost 5 hours, sitting in rush hour traffic and construction, this diner made our day and on a really great note.“

“Here's the review Spencer wrote for you: My family and I just visited to celebrate my grandsons birthday- we like to get a bunch of plates and share family style and this menu was perfect for that. You have to get mezze and extra bread (must try the kubane). We also ended up getting three orders of the shishbarak for the six of us, it is way too good! I got the salmon for my entree which was cooked to perfection and beautifully seasoned. Spencer our server recommended the silan and the cheesecake for dessert so we shared those and boy were they something special- I can’t pick a favorite! He brought us a candle and we got some great pictures. I can’t recommend this restaurant enough.“

“After eating so much (pizza etc )we needed to eat something different, spicy and booked this gem,as it as near to our hotel. It was also our 40th wedding anniversary. We are from U.K. This was amazing perfectly cooked tasty home made authentic Indian cuisine. We had mocktails ( lavender was refreshing ). The tandoori lamb chops x4 were full meat seasoned beautifully and delicious. All other sides perfect too. Now in U.K. we hate restaurant Indian puddings they are usually bought in and awful/failure. After finding out the chef is the owner and a recipient Michelin star we were convinced to stay,try and this was the first time we have had authentic home made puddings; try Kulfi with rose water & also Indian rice pudding. The whole meal was exceptional great value and we will recommend this restaurant to anyone else visiting New York. Easy to find off Times Square /Broadway. Thanks for the rendition “ congratulations “ for our 40th. You are great ! A little gem of authenticity in big New York !“

Now, in 2025, we took our boys there on their first visit to NYC. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. The food is always wonderful. Highly recommended.“

I must say the hostess was a bit distracted when we arrived, while she was sitting on a table by the entrance on her phone. I think that looks unprofessional for “the face” of the restaurant. “Found this place during our stay for the US Open. One member of our party was vegan and this place had many vegan friendly options. The vegan eggs Benedict options were impressive and you could not tell it was vegan. I ordered the chicken and egg Benedict which was nice. Love the ambiance and decor of the place. For calm, quiet, and relaxing. The mocha lattes were excellent and love the tumbler idea to serve them in. Highly recommend!“
