Barely touched my pasta with preserved lemon because I was full, but it was delicious. My daughter’s burger was iconic. The Platonic ideal of hamburgers. Coffee was also delicious. If we had not made a plan to go to La Cabral for dessert and more coffee, I am sure dessert would have been equally excellent.Service was excellent and our waitress was knowledgeable and interested in the food.The fluke reminded me of the first time I went to USC in 1988. I had a plate with raw marinated tuna, raw salmon and raw scallops. The little heaps of fish were so pretty on the plate with their contrasting colors.“

“Noortwyk is somewhere I keep coming back to! I’ve been with friends, with my entire team, on a date, for dinner and for brunch. It’s one of my fav spots in the west village and one that you can usually get a reservation at relatively last minute - a HUGE plus!!

For brunch I enjoyed their breakfast sandwich and cinnamon roll - ileene cho is their pastry chef who is amazing!!

For dinner I love the kale salad, bucatini, bbq duck and their parker house seeded roll with cultured butter (so good we always end up ordering two!).

I used to love their original Mille Feuille but have been disappointed by their 2.0 version which they’ve ‘deconstructed’. This no longer feels like a premium dessert/Mille Feuille but instead more a random pieces of puff pastry on top of some bananas and cream. Please bring back 1.0!! :)

Service I find is a little inconsistent - first few times I went service was very attentive, welcoming and helpful but on my most recent trip it was less so.“

“We had an amazing experience here this evening. The atmosphere was extremely relaxing and chill. The simple artistic decor creates a serene atmosphere. The food is delicious. We especially loved the beef tartar, duck, miso cod, milk bread, and shirt rib. Sticky toffee pudding was rich, but somewhat delicate. Cocktails were well balanced. “This was my first time coming into this establishment and it more than exceeded my expectations. The ambience is clean and modern. The staff is precise and charming. Definitely a level of sophistication in the atmosphere. I really appreciated the calm social vibe while meeting new people at the bar. I started with a caviar tasting along with a new take on a few of the standard accompaniments. I usually don’t like blinis but these felt like fluffy clouds of buttermilk biscuits. I really came to try the caviar and uni pairing. Did not disappoint to say the least. A great caviar experience.“

“How is it possible that I didn’t review 4747lic here before?!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Every time I go there for weekend brunch, I have to return for dinner! I just can’t get enough of the place. Their Dutch baby “Primadonna” pancake and lobster roll are to die for. Much of what is on the menu it’s imported from Italy of the finest ingredients. It’s always fun to take the ferry across from Manhattan to the Pepsi Cola Sign and walk a couple of blocks. They can accommodate large groups, children, pets, wheelchairs, (you name it) at their outdoor seating. Run there. 😊💕“

“Those in the know won't worry to much about 5 leaves not being rated a 4.5 or higher, why you ask? Because it really doesn't matter when the ricotta pancakes are THAT FREAKING GOOD! Seriously every 3rd person orders those pancakes. They also have a great Mocha and black kale salad. If you're not in the mood for sweet fair try the moroccan scramble which is perfect for something light but filling. I got the BLAT on my first visit and it was also good. Now if you're there for dinner been warned the burger is quite filling but it will be worth it even if you gotta waddle home.“

“My wife and I went after a Saturday matinee. It was a short walk from the theatre and was not crowded based on the time of day. I couldn't decide between the burrito or enchilada, so the waiter, who recommended both highly, encouraged me to try the burrito. It was outstanding! The next day, I actually told my wife that I couldn't stop thinking about it. My wife had the pulled pork, and loved it. Luckily for me, she wasn't able to finish it, so I got to enjoy both the burrito and pulled pork :). Will definitely be coming back, but will try the enchiladas next time. “Had a wonderful brunch today at Hudson Clearwater. The smoothie was outstanding. This is a quaint rustic spot and deserves all the love for their vegan friendly menu. I chose the blackened fish sandwich and it did not disappoint. The Cole slaw on the brioche bun, lightly covered with tarter sauce, made for a perfect sandwich. Their fries were delectable as well. “I had to take one star off because this is definitely not a fine dining experience even though that is what they advertise themselves as. If it were not for the food I would have given this a two star review.

The experience was not pleasant. We were seated at a makeshift table, where the window was right behind me. My seat was the bench to the window (essentially where people sit to wait to be seated). I do not know if this is an everyday thing or because they were overbooked but this was not pleasant. The table was right next to the door, so everytime the door opens the wind blasts at us (it did not help that there was a kid that was running in and out of the restaurant). Other guests were standing right next to our table hovering right over us as we were eating and because they were waiting to be seated. For a "fine dining" restaurant there was nothing "fine dining" to it.

The food however was very good. The blending of Asian influences with a modern approach was very nice. The fried chicken was incredible. The inside was still super juicy and soft while the outside was very crispy. That was our favorite dish of the night.“
