“We were in from out of town, staying in New Jersey as our home base for day trips into NYC. On our first night we drove to Hamilton Park to take in views of the skyline, and then were looking for a place to eat with our two nieces. We found Fork Hill Kitchen and are so glad we did. We did not have reservations, but arriving around 5:30, they were able to accommodate our party of 4 and seat us right away. The food, drinks, ambiance, and service were all top notch. The gentleman that showed us to our seat was charming and when he found out we were in from out of town, he chatted with us for a bit, and made us feel so welcome. We each got a different dessert and everyone raved about theirs. Just a really lovely, cozy, welcoming place, with delicious food. Thanks for a great first night of our magical December NYC trip!“

“Best wings in the neighborhood! Get the Mojo or Sergie sauce!! I’m kinda obsessed with the tacos but this week I’m hooked on the ceviche. So good! Bella and her mamma keep a comfortable and friendly atmosphere all day long. Usually find Maribell dancing bachata with longtime Patrons and Bella sometimes twerkin behind the bar. Haha. Comedy night was pretty good and I believe there’s a DJ on Saturday nights. Pool table in the back and sometimes the jukebox is on.. ;-P. Great Place!“

By any regular metric, this is a 5/5. Unfortunately, this is New York. More unfortunately, they have a Michelin star. Thus, they must be judged within the strata in which they belong.

The ingredients were FRESH. This is their calling card. The carrots, the squash, the beets, the buckwheat. Kudos to their souring.

The meal is an imbalanced (to me and my table). We were craving protein, and this place highlights the produce. I will say the tastiest dish was a non meat course (mushrooms in a dashi broth)

“Loved every dish- fluke with black tea, mint and peach(who knew raw fish and fruit went so well together?), amazing grilled artichokes and grilled eggplant. Barely touched my pasta with preserved lemon because I was full, but it was delicious. My daughter’s burger was iconic. The Platonic ideal of hamburgers. Coffee was also delicious. If we had not made a plan to go to La Cabral for dessert and more coffee, I am sure dessert would have been equally excellent.Service was excellent and our waitress was knowledgeable and interested in the food.The fluke reminded me of the first time I went to USC in 1988. I had a plate with raw marinated tuna, raw salmon and raw scallops. The little heaps of fish were so pretty on the plate with their contrasting colors.“

We've been staying in the Franklin Guesthouse (hotel adjacent to Madre) for a couple of nights and decided to give Madre a shot - boy were we in for a treat! Firstly, shout out to Armando, who made us feel immediately welcomed with his warmth and energy! For food, we got the Frutti di Mare, Croquetas, Brussels Sprouts, Cornbread Madeleines (compliments from chef) and Chicken - massive MASSIVE props to Chef Bryan and his very talented team. To say that they cooked "well" would be the understatement of 2022. They absolutely blew our minds with top quality medley of ingredients, depth of flavor, and masterful execution in every way. Cocktails were fun and delectable, which added the perfect "pop" to the culinary rocket ship that Madre served up. Just when my wife and I were ready to call it a night, Chef Bryan and Armando were kind enough to bring out the Pot de Creme for us, which was the bow and ribbon on this very special dinner. My only regret of the night was not having enough stomachs to enjoy more of what Madre could serve up. We will definitely be back! Thank you, Madre!“

“What a treat to stumble upon Parker & Quinn! It was an intimate atmosphere and a perfect night for me and my 10-year-old daughter. The kids’ menu was so good (the pasta was homemade and so delicious that I had to enjoy a few bites!), and my margarita flatbread was incredible. Great service from our server and another gentleman (the manager?) who came over multiple times to check on us. I instantly fell in love with their Georgian food. Seriously, I’ve been thinking about it ever since! So when they opened a new spot on the Upper East Side, I knew I had to go back right away. Good news: it was just as incredible. Everything we ordered tasted so authentic and comforting. It felt like a warm hug on a plate. Here’s what we shared: • Assorted Pkhali: A bright, flavorful way to start. • Imeruli Khachapuri: The highlight! That bread was pillowy, and the cheese inside was perfectly gooey and salty. You can't skip this. • Chicken Tabaka: Crispy and delicious. • Khinkali (Georgian dumplings): These were absolute flavor bombs—juicy and seasoned just right. • Pelamushi: A uniquely sweet grape pudding for dessert. “Holy cow! We just had the Restaurant Week Bento Box lunch from 232 Bleecker and it was just out of this world. Hands down the best meal we've had since the pandemic started. The way Chef Cupps teases the flavor out of vegetables and meats is just astounding. We are in heaven! We also ordered from 232 Bleecker on Christmas Eve, and the food was once again incredible. We are huge fans of Chef Cupps. She previously cooked at UnTitled at the Whitney which was our favorite restaurant in NYC. We are so glad that she and Nick and the rest of her beautiful staff are doing so well.“
