Bialys are tender with flavorful onion filling. There is a pretzel bagel. A PRETZEL BAGEL. And chili crisp cream cheese! And wait, there's more: That king smoked salmon? “I read the service loan not because the service staff was an issue, but I am sick and tired of being penalized for using cash. I didn’t realize I went to the counter. I made my order selected everything and then I was told if I need to pay cash. I need to go to a kiosk. Annoying because now I have to go through all these menus to figure out what I just ordered feed cash into machine wait for that to come out. Totally unnecessary step and unfortunately something that would make me not want to stop here because they added a layer of complexity. It wasn’t necessary. Now I’m sure by the tone of my review that you could probably tell how old I am but that’s fine by me. I like walking into an establishment explaining what I want paying cash and walking out. It’s that simple but yet this isn’t. That being said, the food is fabulous so if the kiosk doesn’t bother you and you never pay cash then so be it.“

However, they were very patient with us and told us what the special sandwiches of the day were. We got that day's special which was roastbeef. It was quite delicious. “I do not live in NYC, but I was trying to find someone who could provide food for my daughter's baby shower in the city. After researching a few options online, I contacted The Picnic Basket. I am so glad I did. The shower was to be in Central Park on a Saturday, and I was concerned about getting everything there safely and reasonably easily. As The Picnic Basket is closed on Saturday, I knew we'd need it Friday as late as possible.
They were so helpful, providing suggestions and a menu online with a lot of great options. I was able to order enough food for a party of 20 at a reasonable price. When my son-in-law arrived to pick it up, it was exceptionally well-packed and labeled. It all fit in their small apartment fridge, and we were able to get everything to the shower easily. Everyone absolutely loved the sandwich variety as well as the large kale salad. Everything was excellent and we were able to easily re-pack the leftovers for later.
