“Roswell, NM is a favorite stopping point for travelers searching for aliens, bats, migratory birds, and caves. This writer came for baseball at the New Mexico Military Institute. And, as I typically do, I searched out the best local barbecue flavors. La Sierra Mesquite Smoked Bbq warmed this Texan's heart. Housed in a converted drive-in diner, La Sierra's hosts are kind and welcoming. I enjoyed the eclectic bbq-themed decor and down-home atmosphere. But the star of the show was the mesquite smoked meats. The brisket had a nice characteristic mesquite 'bite' of flavor in the crust and needed no sauce. Very tender and colorful. The large (silver-dollar diameter) smoked sausages were mild but carried the smoke flavor throughout the entire profile of the meat. Perhaps the best surprise was pork. This was one of the most consistent and tender pork butts I have ever tasted. As for sides, the potato salad was excellent (even though I am not normally a fan of celery in the dish). Mac n cheese was thick, warm, and comforting. I added a little barbecue sauce to the ranch beans and they were perfect. Barbecue Unchained is pleased to recommend La Sierra Mesquite Smoked BBQ to anyone visiting southeastern New Mexico.”

“Hearty Chili is new on the menu so I decided to try it. DEFINITELY does not look ANYTHING remotely close the picture. All it is, is watered down hotdog chili with a few onion and beans thrown in. $2.49 for 8oz (probably less)! My cup was only half full. Very sad! Back to Wendy’s I go! Sonic is ok. Staff (at this time) is proficient and courteous.”

“We were traveling from AZ to OK! Had been on the road since 3:30 a.m. I went on line to see about a good restaurant and found this one! The closed sign was up, but we didn’t see it! They seated up anyway! ? Martha was a very, very good waitress and was so nice! Made our lunch very special! We only come thru once a year, but we will be back! Chips and salsa were the best we’ve ever had followed by taco salad and quesadillas! Servings were very generous and we had quesadillas to take with us!”

“Popular place in Roswell. I make a lot of refried beans, so I need a good salsa verde and a good tortilla to enjoy my toasted bean and cheese burritos. They have both. I do prefer Sonora style tortillas (very thin and made with lard) but this place is good enough. I hope they offer Sonora style tortillas soon.”

“Hadn’t been to Martin’s cafe in years. Decided to check it out again after running across their ad online. The building hadn’t changed much and the interior was still nice. I’d heard about their blue corn tortilla enchilada plate so the wife and ordered that. Our waitress was cheerful and polite. After what seemed a short period of time our meal arrived. Words cannot express how wonderful the enchilada plate looked, smelled and most of all TASTED! The red and green chile is awesome and the chips and salsa are fresh and delicious. Will definitely be back from here on.”

We would highly recommend this restaurant and will return when we come back to Roswell.”

I was googling mexican food restaurants and this one popped up, read the reviews and decided to give them a try. Let me tell you!!!!!! The BEST, BEST, BEST Birria Quesa tacos ever!!!!! (I'm picky when it comes to these) Full of flavor!! I also ordered the asada fries and they were also delicious!! But wait, if you want a DELICIOUS AGUA FRESCA (like made from HOME) THIS IS THE PLACE!!!🙌 La agua de frutas and horchata were AMAAAAZZING!!!! You can taste the natural flavors of the fruit! You need to try them for yourselves! El Guerrero did not disappoint!”

I'm not sure why our server had to ask another girl, (whom I'm pretty sure worked at a restaurant because she was cleaning the tables like she knew what she was doing) instead of the manager just helping her instead of going to the back and not helping her”

It is near the airport so on top of good food it is super convenient for the air races. Prices seem very cheap but that may be because I am in an overpriced area. “We had such a great experience at Applebee’s! Cameron took amazing care of us and provided excellent service throughout our entire meal. He was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed.

I ordered the fajitas with shrimp, chicken, and steak, and the pasta with sausage. Everything was delicious! We also had the blackberry tea and the dragon fruit lemonade, and both drinks were SO good. 😍

Food, drinks, and service were all 10/10. Thank you, Cameron, for making our dinner such a great experience! We’ll definitely be back. 😊”

“Jeri made a beautiful and delicious cake for our wedding earlier in June. Her process from the contract phase to delivery was straight forward and simple. She was easily able to make some dietary accommodations for us as well. The gluten free portion of the cake was wonderful. Most of our guests could not tell it apart from the regular cake. Jeri was very responsive and answered phone calls and emails quickly. The cake was absolutely delicious and complimented by our guests multiple times. Prices were very reasonable as well!”

I have a daughter with celiac disease and they were SO good about preparing the gluten free sandwich with no cross contamination. More careful than any other restaurant I have seen in Roswell!
