“My wife and I came here for our Anniversary. We both have not been here before and usually go to Anthony’s Chophouse or Nevada Steak! Last year we went to Glen Eagles and highly disappointed. So trying something new our expectations were low. We started with drinks and an appetizer. We both chose the crab cake! Phenomenal, I highly recommend. Next, I had New England Clam Chowder and my wife chose French Onion. I must say it was the best Clam Chowder I have ever had. It was better than East Coast soup and blew away the clam chowder in had in a bread bowl in San Francisco. Our entrées came out a while later. I chose the 8oz Filet Mignon and my wife chose the Salmon. My steak was prepared perfectly. The flavor was again phenomenal. To top it all off they gave us a crème brûlée on the house for our Anniversary. The price for the both of us including cocktails was about what we expected!“

The second time was for dinner July 11. The Chrystal shrimp was old and reheated and the peppered tuna was old and overcooked. We will try them one one more time for lunch but no more dinners.“

“I went to the Cracker Box for the 1st time always wanted to go. I have to say a nice little hole in the wall joint. It is a very small place and you are sitting right on top of people I am sure when it is crowded probably to much for me. The service was excellent on top of their game and very friendly. The food was ok I got the Chilli burger I probably wouldn't get that again. It isn't a place I would go to all the time because I don't like to feel crowded but I would go again and maybe try the breakfast I heard that is good. Go there about an hour before they close and you will be good if you don't like crowds. 1 last thing make sure u bring money it is cash only but they do have an ATM that was cool. I will give it 2 thumbs up 👍 👍“

“My wife and I have loved the Basil for years, for it’s delicious food, great service, and relaxing ambiance. I personally love the Basil because the food is always fresh, nutritious and great tasting. Recently we chose them to provide catering for a 35-person birthday celebration at our home. We were extremely impressed by the time and attention that Chai gave to the planning of our event. The result was a beautiful set-up of amazing food and appetizers. Our guests totally loved it! Whether it’s for a simple lunch, a romantic or family dinner, or all-out catering, we can’t recommend The Basil enough!“

“This lady started her business selling tamales from her car almost 30 years ago. She has had her own store front now for several years. Extremely hard work and the best damn tamale In 500 miles!
She has a small, little cafe that local work crews like to frequent, but most of her business is take out.
Posole and Rice pudding is absolutely amazing!

“Absolutely love this place! Wait time can be a little long BUT it doesnt take away from the experience. As soon as you taste Señora cocos food, you realize it is worth EVERY second of the wait. Best salsas in town, best carnitas in town. And a little tip: you can ask for your tacos to be made with handmade tortillas and they are MASSIVE. Will always consider this a family favorite!“

“Because we were up charged for everything. I ordered a burger that came without mayo or mustard and when I asked for mustard it was an additional .50 my husband asked for blue cheese instead of ranch it was also an additional .50 we ordered a child sized apple juice which was over $5 but the worst part was the service. Our waitress was the worst. She never asked if we needed anything so many things. I took one bite of my burger and it was so nasty. The other guests were nicer than she was. At $175 for our meal our service should have been better. We will certainly pick another restaurant for our next visit to Carson City.“

“I come in frequently and everytime I order oysters they are tiny , they used to be good size or large ,not even an extra to make up for the loss or a discount for something not worth paying for. The seafood soup is good but the fake crab is horrible better to remove it or change type of crab for a better one .I'll give it a try soon to see if anything changes and hopefully the micheladas are better too ,just beer and clamato won't do in my opinion“

“We were introduced to this restaurant last year by our dear friend and neighbor. We were living in TX at the time. FF to now. We moved to Carson March 1st. This has been our go to Mexican Restaurant for over 7 months now. We have tried several, but still come back here. The food is outstanding. The owner is really sweet. Best waiter around is Bobby. Request him any day but Wednesday!! He will take care of you. All the waitstaff have been amazing. Food is always hot fresh and made to order. Actually going there today for lunch as it's been a few since our last visit. Will post pics on my next review!! The #27 is our go to. 4 enchiladas. We will get 2 with the ground sirloin and 2 with cheese with rice, refried beans and albondigas soup. We share for lunch and have enough to eat for dinner. 5 stars across the board“

“Been here again couple of times. It's always been a great experience. The won ton soup and the orange chicken is the best in town. All together between a family of 4 we had the egg rolls sezchuan beef, Mongolian beef, orange chicken, beef and broccoli, veggie chow mien and walnut shrimp. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. We left with our bellies all the way filled up and some to go for a midnight snack. The bamboo garden is our number one choice for chinese food in carson city.“

“There were four of us that had lunch at Peg's in Carson City, on April 11. The food was expensive and not what it use to be like before Covid. We had a very rude waitress and the food was a very poor quality and not as it was ordered. Carson is really growing, but you need to keep your quality up or you will not get return customers. “I have eaten here at LEAST 15 times since we moved to Tahoe last year! I have tried a lot of sushi places, and this is hands-down the best sushi I've ever had. Not once have I been disappointed by the food here! AYCE is the only way I eat sushi, and it's such a great price here! The salmon is always buttery and amazing. “Review for All American Eatery in Carson City Nugget.I was pleasantly surprised by this delightful eatery. I had been there years ago and had clam chowder in a bread bowl which i remember was good, so i decided to go back. They've remodeled since then and don't have the bread bowl anymore, but i had other foods. I went 3 times in a matter of a few days and each time brought more people with me, who like me love the place.The first thing i want to mention is the fastest service that I've ever seen anywhere. The waiter, Jesse that we had 2 times was excellent and on top of things. The waitress we had the 1st time was good to.They have Mountain Dew, which if you follow my reviews, then you know that's a plus for me. The first time there i had the prime rib, which is something i love to eat everywhere. It was a perfect medium rare and it tasted excellent. The 2nd time was for dessert. They have sundaes and rootbeer floats in a 32 oz mug for only $4.95. The 3rd time i had the chefs salad. Ive never seen one that has more meat then lettuce. They also have thousand island dressing which is another big plus for me, since thats the main dressing that i use. I also tried my wifes fish and chips. The fish was excellent. “Another restaurant I haven't been to in years. But boy, I am so glad we came here to celebrate a family member's birthday.Needless to say, they have room for special events and private parties. So if you are looking for a venue keep them in mind.The Prime Rib was outstanding. Indeed, it was the best Prime Rib I have had in a very long time. Our waiter and the Maitre de were outstanding. They made us all feel so welcome and almost like we were family. We all are still raving about the Prime Rib.There is something so wonderful about a place treating you like family. The human connection is something we all want. It is so awesome to feel appreciated and connected to our world and others. The staff here were outstanding. Everyone commented on the service we received.The appetizers and salads were tasty. The family members who had the salmon said it was excellent. Everyone was pleased with their meal. Portions are generous.All of us remarked on how good the food was. Not to mention, the price was right.The ambiance might be a little lacking. There are no tablecloths. However, keep in mind that tablecloths come with a cost of their own. They need to be laundered and then some need to be replaced. So there would be an added cost.So the question is would you prefer a little more ambiance or a cheaper price for an excellent meal?However, if you are looking for excellent service with delicious food at a reasonable price then this is the place for you.Not to mention, that the drive to Carson is beautiful. Plus there are plenty of things to do in Carson to enjoy. Perhaps it is time to beckon back to a slower pace of life. Take a nostalgic trip to Carson to see the Capitol all decorated for Christmas.
