“Came here for the first time today with my mom and the food was delicious, esp the coco bread, I was overwhelmed by the options and will be coming back to try the other foods that are offered such as the bread pudding which I regret not getting today :( but the patties also tasted delicious I got the chicken and beef and they tasted perfect!!

“Used to go the Mount Vernon shop when I was a kid, then after the fire and they moved to the Bronx..followed them down there- EVEN when the current owner bought from the gentile older man from MV... "Paul" has kept up standards. The Coco Breads are THE BOMB - I'd know, I was taught to make them at the bakery my Granny worked in Mo'bay every summer! A MUST HAVE !!!! Go out of your way. Brave the parking situation. DO IT, you will not regret it!“

“Posible the best bread I’ve had. From the texture to the taste of it it’s perfect for a sandwich or any kind of use you need bread for. You can eat it with nothing or some butter. They make great breakfast foods from home fries(potato) to French toast you can never go wrong with anything on the menu. The Cuban sandwich is really good too. Coffee great and the juices are cheap and tasty. In all everything in the bakery is good. The cakes are good but nothing to die for.

Parking: Parking is tricky. Be careful for the bus lane you will get a ticket if the bus catches you double parking.

Kid-friendliness: Plenty of cookies and cupcakes for kids.

“It’s small but it’s very nice and clean. It was my 1st time there and the young man at the counter took his time and suggested many options. He was very patient. This was about two weeks ago almost. Today I came back but he wasn’t there, a young lady was and she was very sweet. Great desserts and customer service. Highly recommend!“

“They did an amazing job on the BURN CAKE they created for my friend for his birthday, Vanilla 8" round cake with vanilla filling. Super professional and very creative. They were patient and understanding as I chose them to place my first ever cake order with and I chose correct. The cake was made within a week spand and price was very reasonable. Will order Birthday cakes from them again.

“I have been going here for years how long I used to babysit for Danny and his brother. The food is delicious. The soups are amazing. Chicken cutlets are delicious. I really haven’t had anything here. I didn’t love.

“I love the quality of their cakes. I often visit to enjoy their specialty fruit cakes and tres de leche cakes. They are made with the finest, natural ingredients. I used to arrive and enjoy their homemade pancakes and French toast, made without using eggs. The batter they use for their cakes and breakfast meals are delicious. I would go to get a hearty breakfast and celebrate your loved ones’s birthdays with their cakes.

I stopped by at another time and they served orange juice and a plate of French Toast, Bacon and Eggs. Their food was so natural, and I would come back to feel like myself again, before going to work. This place feels like home.

Vegetarian options: The ingredients are organic and preparing their pancakes and French toast use no eggs.

Kid-friendliness: It is kid friendly. Children have stopped by briefly with family as their parents purchase cakes and pastries. It is a small, welcoming store, and mainly traveling adults stop by for a while before heading to work.“

These are the most delicious pignoli cookies I've ever had (almond with pine nuts on top) and are very expensive because they are only with almond flour. Be warned not to have price shock with those.“

“I’m from Texas and wanted to look at local bakeries as a sweets lover. They have a ton of selection of specifically bread and this pastry I’m not sure what the name was, but it was bready! Brownies, cookies, full cake and slices.

Not sure where the $30-$50 price comes from - I tried to Oreo cake for $3.50, and they gave us a huge slice. It wasn’t too sweet and had wonderful flavors and textures. It was so good that I went back the next day to bring some back home, and they were super sweet and gave us an extra slice. 10/10, beautiful cakes, super affordable!“

There platers are generous and prices are comprable to the area. They could use more staff as they are on the slow side and just know it is not very comfortable for eating in.“
