“My first complain
Only with the Falsa advertisement of romantic music this Sunday at 7:30 my reservation was for 645 dinner for live music at 7:30 which one person showed up with the equipment. It was 9:30 PM and still waiting for the music to start on a Sunday night. Finally got up to leave but went up to the musician and told him that it’s was a lack of respect that, even though they were not many people there they still advertised that they were going to play while they were sitting around on the lounge area, not respecting that there were a few people there waiting for them to play as they were told that was starting at 7:30 Very disrespectful from their part so don’t go on Sunday When they say they have live music at 7:30, which is not gonna happen if it’s not a full place, so Forget a romantic evening on a Sunfay evening with this band oh they also said the singer has not arrived it was 9:45 when we left and they close at 11pm
Shame on them 😡
Don’t go on Sunday don’t wast your time if it’s for this band 😡 romantic yea right 🤬“

“Lovely! This was a perfect birthday dinner celebration. The staff is gracious an inviting from the second you ring the doorbell. The space is beautiful although the enclosed garden was a little bit hot. I'm glad it wasn't hot or out and I'm sure it would be perfectly cozy in the winter.
The food was beautifully presented, deeply delicious and thoroughly explained. Even the chawanmushi, which looks deceptively plain, was a delicate swirl of flavor layers.
We had 12 courses and never felt rushed.
Would highly recommend for a special occasion meal.
Plus, it's a nonprofit, so they're doing good work in the food world!“

“Ordered Indika House for delivery. I was honestly expected some mid-quality food due to how reasonably-priced their takeout meal deal was. But boy, was I wrong; everything was delicious, fresh, and warm.
I’ve been to some Indian places that try to hide stale / dry chicken with curry, but the meat in Indika House’s butter chicken was tender and melt-in-your-mouth. My expectations for the Aloo Tikki were also low, I’ve had places serve it like a dry, seasoned hockey puck. But Indika House’s version was crispy and flakey on the outside and soft, flavorful on the inside.
So thrilled to have another regular takeout spot added to our list!“

“There is absolutely no monkey-ing around at Monkey King. From the moment you grasp the handle of the entry door, there is no way you won’t leave transformed. While being greeted by the oh so kind hostess, you are given a moment to truly embrace the aura of the space. Your eyes first gravitates to the immersive semi sunken bar surrounded by blissful golden barstools illuminated by soft light. As the hostess carefully walks you to your seat, you begin to feel the opulence of the decor melting away the stress of your day.
The journey truly begins once you scan the restaurant menu. There you will find an array of beautifully thought out cocktails, wines, and dishes that truly awakens one’s curiosity.
To begin our journey, my cousin and I thoroughly enjoyed the Char Siu and Scallion Pancakes to wet our palettes. Hannah, our server, patiently guided us through the cocktail options making superb recommendations. Our first round of cocktails included the Serpent’s Tale and the Immortal Peach. We then drooled over the Cumin Lamb Ribs and Roasted Duck- Fat Fried Rice. All dishes bringing us to euphoria. To close out, we ordered another round of cocktails that included the Heartbeet and Pandan Express. The cocktails were so incredible that I literally got out my seat and walked to our bartender, Thieanna, to give her applause.
Which, by the way she accepted with such humility. The craftsmanship of those cocktails surely deserves a spot on the 50 Best Bars in the World. And as someone who has been to five bars on the list within the last four months, the compliment comes with ease because they definitely belong on that list.
I want to express my gratitude to Thieanna, Hannah, Thom, De Cory, and Nana for such a superb dining experience. Little did they know that the warm service along with the outstanding meal helped me to kick the depression that was knocking at my door that day. So thanks Monkey King for a memorable journey. I will definitely see you again soon!“

“Great to have some solid momos in the area!
Came on a Saturday night and we sat down right away. The servers were very friendly and took the time to explain each part of the Thali we got.
Food:
- veg thali (4/5) - this is definitely a good bang for your buck, given that you can ask for refills. My favorite was the pea dish.
- veg jhol mojos (4.5/5) - nice deep flavor, the momos were solid. I’d be curious to try the chili ones and the fried ones next time.
- mango lassi (5/5) - everything you want mango lassi to be.
The vibe was pretty causal and they have a few tables for sit down“

“the congee was delicious and so flavorful! I thought I got a simple braised chicken bowl but even that had so many other small elements in there that further amplified the dish. saw some reviews complaining about the congee being unevenly heated, but I did not experience this.
also such a beautiful little place to dine in-and they have a few shelves dedicated to groceries.
my only suggestion is specify if your lattes have coffee or not, other than that everything was (basically) perfect
would return for breakfast, lunch, or dinner any time of the year :-)“

“This is our go-to sushi place. I spent most of my college years as a server at various sushi restaurants so I'm typically picker about the sushi and sashimi I order and I can attest to the quality and breadth of their selection. Their traditional Japanese appetizers like Hamachi-Kama are excellent as well. The staff are extremely welcoming of our young children (which not all restaurants in NYC are) and know them by name. Needless to say we hope Bushniwa is here for the long haul so we always have our favorite sushi spot!“

“This place is absolute heaven—I’m not even exaggerating! Hands down, one of the best sushi restaurants I’ve ever been to.
The quality is outstanding—everything is incredibly fresh, and they offer an impressive variety of sushi and fish that you don’t often find elsewhere. Every bite melts in your mouth, and even the plain sushi rice is unbelievably delicious!
Whenever my husband and I dine here, we’re treated like royalty. From our very first visit, we felt genuinely welcomed, and the staff always go above and beyond to make us feel special. They’re so appreciative of their guests that they often surprise us with something extra to try, which makes the experience even more memorable.
The atmosphere is perfect for a date night, a relaxing evening, or even a family gathering. The beautiful decor and thoughtfully presented dishes add to the charm.
I can’t wait to go back!😍“

“I went to La Mode BK for the first time on 8/6 — and I was right back the next day with a different friend. I think that says it all! The service, the ambience, the food, the drinks, the vibe… I love everything about this place.
The happy hour menu is both convenient and affordable, which is always a win. And can we talk about the ginger margarita and ginger martini? I’m obsessed with ginger, and both drinks were such a creative, flavorful twist — absolutely delicious.
I also believe this is a Black-owned and possibly women-owned business, which makes me love and support it even more. ❤️❤️❤️ This might just be my go-to spot for the summer 😌“

“I got takeout the other night—braised beef & noods, eastern cukes, congee and the cabbage special. I have no words. Well, I guess I do—happy dance mouth explosions. The cukes even got better as a pickled snack the next day. The staff was kind and fun, and I had the pleasure of meeting the chef, who deserves 5 stars as a human. “Wanted to try something new for our date and found a GEM! This cute little nook on the second floor is hard to catch but a MUST TRY! Their menu is a bit overwhelming at first but not once you figure out good matches😉 we tried a bit of everything to share; the thick men udon noodle soup with charsu, 2 pieces of unagi giant nigiri, & some of everything sashimi. Everything was delicious and tasted fresh! The decor and ambiance of the establishment was inviting and playful with the cool posters on the walls. Also, felt very spacious<3 Cannot express how lucky I feel to have found this place! They also have a lunch special!“

“Very affordable and delicious sushi gem! 💗
Me and my friend went here as well as my family afterwards, thai tea is my favorite! For the food I recommend the Kosan Pizza, Soho roll, Bagel roll and shrimp tempura, rock shrimp for the most part. The rest werent that bad but the other ones were my favorite. We also ordered kani salad as our first dish and it is definitely recommended to order that before the food! 🍱“

“I visited on the spur of the moment as I was driving to queens. This place is very clean and condiments, eating utensils are conveniently placed for customers to use. I ordered general tso’s chicken and it was cooked perfectly (not too sweet or soggy).“
“i was pleasantly surprised ordering from here! Solid food, it came swiftly- I think my small peeve was that the baked spaghetti was oddly a little bit sweet? Especially more so in certain bites, but otherwise super good and hit the craving spot on. The pork and thousand yearEgg congee comes in a huge container and I am set! Delicious!“

“(You can pay with credit card). Been going here for several years now. The prices here continue to beat inflation.
I always just go and get food from the hot bar. Get the lo mein / fried rice with 2 entrees for 10.75. It’s 11.75 for 3 entrees. The portions are giving and packed to the brim.
If you see the first photo, we got two meals, a side of fish cake, and two drinks for 40 bucks“

“The food here is like coming home after a very long day. Whether you want to have a 23 hour pho (bone broth), or their amazing Bahn Mi, so much homey comfort. My brother showed me this place literally in June and being asd I've ordered this sandwich literally twice a week religiously. And you know that subway sandwich smell you hate when you have nothing else to eat? Smell lingers- you'll want this food to linger 😋“

“I was craving Chinese food, and this place was the closest option. Overall, the food was good, and the portion sizes were reasonable for the price. The only issue was the oiliness, which seems to be common in Chinese restaurants. However, I found the cleanliness of the place to be lacking. If they passed health inspections, then I guess that's acceptable.“

“First I saw the little beings in the edge of the window. Then, above them, bulbs that looked like rocks, floating mid air, dimmed, perfect✨
I wasn’t sure it was still open but my Joshua went on to see if we could have a little dessert at this Japanese haven-the answer was yes 🙌🏻
From the whimsically intentional decor, to the atmosphere that filled the room, the warmth and wonder was everywhere. And we were the only two people in there. Just a few sashimis and then one Kumamoto oyster for me. What a delight! Their fish was exquisite-just as the exuberant expression of when you’re feeling elated “fresh as a fish” goes. The oyster balanced originality with tradition in a complex, yet accessible unraveling to the palette, where your mind can find each of the ingredients meet each other and dance. The creaminess of Kumamoto really allows interesting alloys because of its texture. As I am writing all this, I do remember one more texture. The texture of the rim of the tea cups they served us a delicious Oolang in. Not only it looks like its own little ceramic pastry, but when you would bring it to your lips-Oh! What a triumph of design. Not only it tasted serenely warm, but it felt so luxurious on the lips-even a bit osé if I may 😋
The owner stayed with us after closing, telling us about how him and his wife open this gem in Greenpoint some time ago & how much love and precision they put into it. You can see their eye in every little corner of the place. From wonder to smiles, my eyes wandered softly the whole time we were there. How LUCKY 🍀 we were to have been in a place of excellence. Where taste met design, where they swayed along with sweetness & wits, creating a unique corner for you to feel what is the symbiosis of yin and yang ✨🙌🏻🍃✨🍂🪁🙏🏻
For all lovers of deep & quiet “wow”s…
Thank you 🤩🤗🥳

“Amazing food for the price. The lunch special was 11.95 and it comes with 2 sides. I got the green curry (chicken), tofu soup and vegetable spring roll. Spring roll was your usual the but the tofu soup was great and very flavor. The green was curry was INCREDIBLE. Full of flavor with a hint of spice. The chicken was nice and soft. Very filling and absolutely worth the visit.“

“I often dine here . There are many ‘highly-rated’ Japanese restaurants in a ten block radius… I’ve tried them all. But for the price, quality and freshness of seafood, Edo is tops. The menu has many options from appetizers, sushi, sashimi, omakase & Asian food Plus the sake & beer options compliment the authentic cuisine. The well-informed staff are attentive & fun. You will have a great dinner & great evening here. Manager Eric is such an interesting person. Recommend.........👍👍👍👍👍“

“I think the one piece deco was very cute. It’s recognizable from outside. I went around 2-3 on a Wednesday so it wasn’t crowded. They serve desserts and food. I got the bento box combo, I’m not sure why it’s not listed in the menu but the combo came with white rice, the protein, the cabbage with dressing, 6 pc cali roll, and a miso soup. They don’t serve hot tea like a traditional Asian restaurant. This is a great place to go to if you are a one piece fan as the walls are cover with one piece posters or looking for a place to eat out with a friend. The food isn’t one piece theme tho.“
