“They have an incredible flavor, I feel in my homeland, Colombia, the empanadas, the pandebonos, the Bandera paisa, the lunch of the Day, everything is very delicious and most importantly, very good attention from the girls and the owner, Rico, having a place like that that welcomes you. and sits at home.“
“Stopped in to have an beef empanada and a juice and we were blown away by how good everything was! The juice was fresh and tasty and the beef empanada was one of the best empanadas I've ever tasted. Also the barista was very kind and welcoming. Will definitely come back.“
“The granny apple fresh juice is amazing, as well as the gluten free beef empanada and the gluten free chicken+cheese empanada (they are made with corn) each comes with a Verde green sauce which is very flavorful.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options“
“the staff here are angels! the bakery's ambiance feels like home and it's so nice to have a colombian bakery not in queens! the pan de bono, buñuelos, pan de queso are my go tos but love their breakfast and other snack breads and pastries. a neighborhood staple!“
“Atmosphere is beautiful, cozy and warm. The decor is colorful and lends to the excitement of the venue. The staff was polite and attentive. The drinks we ordered was delicious. There are non alcoholic options which was a plus. The food looked attractive and tasted great. The mini arepas sampler was really tiny. There was a ton of topping but the arepas was not to my liking. Too blaah. I was expecting a moist corney bread but it was just like it was an over processed piece of tired dough. I was looking forward to the taste of the streets. Would I return? of course but I'll try another menu item“
“Incredibly tasty for how cheap it was. Really really happy to have found this place. Highly recommend the chimichurri steak sandwich, and the cubano was quality as well!Really can’t beat it, especially in this neighborhood. Ice cold corona!!!!!“
“As a cheese lover this is the ONLY place I can vouch for that has the BEST cheese empanadas. They don't skimp on cheese like other places so the empanadas are filled with cheese. The best & juiciest cheese empanadas I've ever tasted. I've also tried their chicken empanadas several times but they were overly dry so I stay away from those. The meat empanadas though, are amazing and filled with beef and potato. The Chorizo is really good as well. This has been my go to place for a quick bite for a while. Since they started accepting apple pay and card payments I couldnt be happier. A+ for the nice ladies who work behind the counter.“
“Great spot to go for a quick casual bite! We got the pernil and ceviche and both were delicious. The pico de gallo was so refreshing to nibble on, especially on a nice summer day. Service was great too! Definitely try to get a spot in the back patio if you can as well.“
“Randomly stopped by here as we ended up parking near by and can never say no to empanadas! Tried the spicy chicken as the Mac and cheese ones. Both were pretty well flavored and delicious! We only stuck with 2 as we had dinner plans but we'll be back to try more!“
“I tried Arepa Lady because they had a special of $5 for an arepa de choclo with steak, chorizo, and chicken on the night I went. The filling was so good and I think they were very generous with the steak and chicken. I wasn't a big fan of the arepa itself because it was a bit dry although the corn flavor was a good combo with the filling.“
“I tried two of their empanadas. For $6.50 each, they were quite small. The empanada shells tasted like they were made with whole grain flour. Different from the norm and it gave them an earthy texture. They were also made with avocado oil, which was noticeable. The portobello mushroom empanada was tasty. The mushrooms were very tender. The smoky dipping sauce that came with it was super flavorful. I also tried the guava and cheese. It was sweet with a nice balance of both ingredients. This restaurant is located in the front room of Gaia NoMaya, which is a community and event space with lots of activities like yoga, meditation, and dance. The decor is lovely with tons of plants, dried flowers, bright colors, raw edged wooden tables, and fabric couches. The empanadas weren't bad. Definitely unique taste and texture, but felt a tad overpriced.“
“Today, March 16, I personally visited the place and I was delighted with the attention, the seasoning, the cleanliness, we ordered 3 different dishes, I ordered Bandeja Paisa, very delicious! quality of natural juices! And the attention of the staff was very professional, the lady who served my table was very sweet and the Manager Mr. Yessid was excellent! Nice experience and I gladly recommend the place! Whoever comes to Sabor de Colombia does not regret it! Something else, your delicious compost bread! Congratulations to all the staff, may the Lord bless the work of your hands and prosper you in everything! ?“
