“Atmosphere is beautiful, cozy and warm. The decor is colorful and lends to the excitement of the venue. The staff was polite and attentive. The drinks we ordered was delicious. There are non alcoholic options which was a plus. The food looked attractive and tasted great. The mini arepas sampler was really tiny. There was a ton of topping but the arepas was not to my liking. Too blaah. I was expecting a moist corney bread but it was just like it was an over processed piece of tired dough. I was looking forward to the taste of the streets. Would I return? of course but I'll try another menu item“

“As a cheese lover this is the ONLY place I can vouch for that has the BEST cheese empanadas. They don't skimp on cheese like other places so the empanadas are filled with cheese. The best & juiciest cheese empanadas I've ever tasted. I've also tried their chicken empanadas several times but they were overly dry so I stay away from those. The meat empanadas though, are amazing and filled with beef and potato. The Chorizo is really good as well. This has been my go to place for a quick bite for a while. Since they started accepting apple pay and card payments I couldnt be happier. A+ for the nice ladies who work behind the counter.“

“I tried Arepa Lady because they had a special of $5 for an arepa de choclo with steak, chorizo, and chicken on the night I went. The filling was so good and I think they were very generous with the steak and chicken. I wasn't a big fan of the arepa itself because it was a bit dry although the corn flavor was a good combo with the filling.“

“I tried two of their empanadas. For $6.50 each, they were quite small. The empanada shells tasted like they were made with whole grain flour. Different from the norm and it gave them an earthy texture. They were also made with avocado oil, which was noticeable. The portobello mushroom empanada was tasty. The mushrooms were very tender. The smoky dipping sauce that came with it was super flavorful. I also tried the guava and cheese. It was sweet with a nice balance of both ingredients. This restaurant is located in the front room of Gaia NoMaya, which is a community and event space with lots of activities like yoga, meditation, and dance. The decor is lovely with tons of plants, dried flowers, bright colors, raw edged wooden tables, and fabric couches. The empanadas weren't bad. Definitely unique taste and texture, but felt a tad overpriced.“
