“This is not ordinary Chinese-restaurant food; the dishes are sophisticated and delicious. Great combinations, spices, vegetables. Okra crunchy outside, soft inside. Eggplant hot and peppery, cold chicken chopped with bones in. Never had Szechuan like this. We try to go as often as we can.“

“The food itself here is amazing and great flavors. The wonton soup with chicken broth has been our go to for years and this has been the best wontons I've eaten at any Asian restaurant. Quality for sure. The cucumbers are amazing and dumplings also. There has been some not great reviews but seems like when we get delivery it is better!“

“They take res via Yelp, FYI! We did a walk in for a party of 2 at 3pm on a rainy day and it was pretty empty. I had to wait for my friend and was allowed to sit and wait for her at our table. Staff here is very attentive and friendly.
The Pho here is more so like Northern pho, with the fatter vermicelli noodles. I enjoyed my Beef Pho and the broth was good. I was asked if I wanted fresh noodles or not, which was a question I was never asked at other viet spots before. I requested fresh noodles, which were a bit softer in my broth. Their fresh noodles are made daily vs their other kind of noodles made a day before - idk how much of a difference it would've been toh.
We also got their Spring Rolls to share, which were standard. It also came with pickled radishes on the side, which were nice and crunchy.
Overall, a decent neighborhood spot with good, yummy options. I've tried other apps here before (Banh Xeo and Chicken Wings) and they were great as well. Would recommend to others for a comfortable meal.“

“The BEST Thai I’ve had in New York. I had an issue with a pickup order recently, & I reached out to them on instagram. Their customer service went above & beyond to make it right. Food is so good, & love that you can customize the pad thai to exclude egg.“

“My buddy took me here last week. He thought it would be too spicy for me but I love spicy food and this did not disappoint. I got the Noodle with Crispy Meat sauce for $9.95 and asked for it dry. It also comes with cilantro which compliments the dish very well. The meat and noodles are bursting with flavor and puts to shame the noodles I’m used to eating. Our server was polite and very pleased we were satisfied. I will come back.“

“I arrived during the slower afternoon period. Their dishes impressed me more than I anticipated. Gorkhali - Brooklyn created moments that felt like culinary sorcery! Employees provided steady, superior attention. The quality corresponds to the price.“

“My favorite spot for the winter with their nice soup noodles for about only $10 per bowl which is really nice with how much they give you and how warming you will feel every bite. it is like any other restaurant, you wait until they seat you, wait until you are ready to order, you wait for the food, eat, tip and leave. the place is usually really packed during lunch time so either be lucky/wait to eat or not go at lunch.“

“Absolutely insane. Ambiance is killer, everything everywhere. Real calm sometimes..cozy! Extremely fast service. Extremely considerate service. So extremely affordable! Braised pork is perfect, lunch special comes with rice a lil greens and egg. I love the pumpkin potsticker, they got a Carribbean curry flavor! Housemate drinks are a dollar, and there's plenty of options.“

“The tomato base noodles might be some of my favorite yet. I couldn’t even wait for it to cool a little before eating. I will say the plum juice wasn’t the best but the passionfruit sparkling drink paired very well with our meal. The atmosphere is pretty good for catching up with friends and grabbing a quick bite.“

“One of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. My wife and I shared scallion pancakes, fried pork dumplings, and the Basil Beef Ho Fun. Incredible food all around, and the owner/chef is a wonderfully sweet woman. Oh and the lemonade is fantastic.“

“After I tried Maxi’s, quite a few people recommended Superior Wonton Noodle, so I decided to check it out—especially since it’s right in my neighborhood.
Are their wontons really better than Maxi’s?
Quick verdict: their shrimp wontons are truly SUPERIOR, closely on par with Maxi’s. I even brought home a dozen frozen ones. However, both the beef brisket and flat rice noodles were underwhelming.
However, I still prefer Maxi’s for overall quality, but Superior is more affordable. I’d recommend it if you’re in the area. (86 St is my all-time favorite area for authentic Hong Kong food)
*Wonton and Beef Brisket Rice Noodle $11
I ordered the same thing I got at Maxi’s, and it was a few dollars cheaper here, mainly because you don’t have to pay extra for the beef brisket.
The wonton was about the size of a ping pong, generously stuffed with shrimp and pork filling. The shrimp was bouncy, while the wonton skin was not too thick.
Unfortunately, the beef brisket was quite tough, so I didn’t finish it. I’ll probably try the beef tendon next time…
The flat rice noodles were a letdown—they were so soggy and mushy that I had to use a spoon to scoop them up. Meanwhile, my boyfriend got the thick egg noodles, and they looked much better with a springy texture.“

“All the other Ichiran locations had ridiculously long lines 🍜, so we drove out to this one in Brooklyn. This spot only offers one type of ramen — perfect for the indecisive 😅 — though the menu overall is pretty limited.
The price is about $30 per person, which is fairly normal for NYC 💸. As for the taste: not bad at all, but definitely not worth a super long wait. The broth was the best part — rich but not greasy, really flavorful 👍.
There were two kinds of pork: one served in the soup, and the other on a separate plate. The one on the plate was much tastier 🥩, while the one in the soup had a really strong, almost unpleasant smell 🤢.
Overall, it’s worth a visit if you’re nearby and want to avoid long lines, but not a must-visit spot unless you’re in the area 📍.“

“Ramen Danbo is a must-try Japanese Noodle experience if you’re in New York. The shop is small, so you might have to wait in line for a table, but it’s worth it. I love the Tomato Ramen here: their homemade noodles are excellent, the broth is rich, the toppings are top-notch, and the soft-boiled egg is perfect. I can’t wait to come back for more.“

“What a nice place this is in the 86th Street section of Bay Parkway!
The food portion is just right for me to finish their Tomato Beef Brisket Noodle Soup with no problem. Their set meals as they advertised on the menu was pretty interesting. Basically, one of the sets comes with a noodle soup of your choice, an appetizer, and a drink. There are also other sets that are different.
I would definitely come back again if I was to.“

“Love the vibe here with the old Thai movie posters and products from Thailand visible on the shelves. Bangkok BAR does the classics well and the staff are mostly from Thailand so they grew up with the items on the menu. Love the beef larb and crying tiger.“

“Japan Village in Brooklyn — where you step in for culture and end up questioning everything you thought you knew about noodle soup.
First stop: Gohei. The stall hits you with nine different noodle bowls — soba or udon, your choice… but choose wisely, warrior. I learned the hard way that not every soup and noodle combo is meant to be. The Gyusuji (sweet beef offal broth) is straight-up legendary if you go with udon. Go with soba, and it’s like putting a Prius engine in a monster truck — not built for it, my friend.
They even throw in tendon, tripe, and konnyaku (aka devil’s tongue — sounds hardcore, tastes amazing).
Bottom line: this place will humble your noodle game real quick. 🍜🔥

“The chicken was truly enjoyable, and I appreciate the effort put into the preparation. Perhaps a touch more salt for myself would have been perfect. I found the dish to be satisfying overall, with a delightful texture. The culinary experience presented was certainly a positive one. Furthermore, I would really enjoy just a cuttlefish dish. It would be a welcome addition to the menu. I am looking forward to future dining experiences.“
