“When I visited on Saturday, I was told that only the bar counter seats were available, but when I went to the bar counter, the seats were occupied and I had to wait for one to become available.I waited for about 5 minutes, but there was no one available, so I made a reservation for the following Monday and went to another restaurant that day.When I visited on Monday at 17:00, both the bar counter and the inside of the restaurant were relatively empty.Depending on the day and time, you may be able to enter without a reservation, but we recommend making a reservation.The meat was cooked very well and was very delicious (◠‿◠)I'm glad I made a reservation and came back! !If I have a chance to come to New York again, I would definitely like to come again.“

The women's restroom has a lounge with beautiful vanity mirrors. The pasta a la presse was a highlight of the night because it was delicious but also because it was prepared table side with an explanation of its origin. The bread for the table had a lot of variety and was delicious. For my entree I had the lobster which was beautiful and tasted divine. Our filet mignons were melt in you mouth perfection and the German potatoes were incredibly delicious. The only ding I have was there was a party of 8-10 gentleman celebrating a birthday. They had quite a bit of food and drink and were pretty loud as the dinner wore on. We felt that we were in their conversation even though we were on the other side of the room. Again, for these kinds of prices and at $150 per person on food alone, I always expect goodness, if not greatness. The cocktail shrimp tasted ok but lacked that plumpness and freshness, the caprese had good mozzarella but really poor tomatoes, the steaks were large in size and of good quality, but not over the top tastewise, the veal chop was big and pretty tasty, the sides (hash browns, mashed potatoes and spinach) were just ok, nothing to rave about. It is tough to express the feeling of "almost there"... We ordered a dessert (tiramisu) that was nice but a small portion for the price. The staff, from the bar to the host and waitstaff, were all great and pleasant. Straight to the point, steakhouse style, but no rudeness as in some other similar establishments... The venue itself was nice and clean, the decor felt like it's been in its juice for a while, but that makes its charm. To conclude, I am happy to have been there for the experience (old school NYC vibes for sure...), but I am not certain that I'll need to return.“

Other places were mobbed and we were too hungry to wait, but this place had plenty of tables available, which makes sense once we learned that they’re relatively new. I’m not sure if our server was the owner or not but he made us feel right at home the moment we stepped through the door. We ordered 2 bloody marys which were simple but delicious. After that we decided to try a beer flight. Their beer menu is fantastic and super interesting. One beer flight turned into two as we enjoyed our lunch (fennel salad, hot wings and the angus burger). All the food was outstanding! The wings were some of the best we’ve had, the burger was melt in your mouth good and the fennel salad was crisp and refreshing.
