“The food is great, but the cashier often messes up my order. Even when I specifically ask them not to add a certain item, they still manage to get it wrong, which drives me nuts. Sometimes I just deal with it, but other times I feel the need to point out the mistake directly. I try to be polite, especially to the people preparing my dish, and I feel terrible bringing it up. However, the cashier needs to do their job and pay attention to my requests. I always make it clear what I want on my sandwich. The employees are great and always try to please their customers since they try to redo it and basically made it better, but the cashiers need to improve. Smh.“

I made a mistake when ordering one time online and ordered from this subway when I was over an hour away I came back in two days and they were able to provide me with the food I initially ordered that I never picked up, the food is always great. The bread is a wonderful French baguette that comes from another great spot in Williamsburg but you’ll have to ask them for their source I won’t spill it here. You can choose between 3 meats you want on your sandwich we picked chicken and spill the sandwich cause we also order nachos which were also great. Small place but seriously mighty. No fluff, no gimmicks, just unreal, farm-to-table food done right.

The meatball sandwich? I think about it daily. Perfectly seasoned, rich, and messy in the best way. The kind of sandwich you don’t forget. And the Burrata sandwich was just as incredible, packed with flavor and made with so much care you can taste it in every bite.

You can tell the ingredients are fresh and thoughtfully sourced. It makes a difference.

On two separate occasions, they not only accommodated our large family for brunch, they also cheerfully rearranged tables to fit our group plus the stroller for our daughter's infant daughter. “I read the service loan not because the service staff was an issue, but I am sick and tired of being penalized for using cash. I didn’t realize I went to the counter. I made my order selected everything and then I was told if I need to pay cash. I need to go to a kiosk. Annoying because now I have to go through all these menus to figure out what I just ordered feed cash into machine wait for that to come out. Totally unnecessary step and unfortunately something that would make me not want to stop here because they added a layer of complexity. It wasn’t necessary. Now I’m sure by the tone of my review that you could probably tell how old I am but that’s fine by me. I like walking into an establishment explaining what I want paying cash and walking out. It’s that simple but yet this isn’t. That being said, the food is fabulous so if the kiosk doesn’t bother you and you never pay cash then so be it.“

“This is ✨THE BEST✨ bagel sandwich I’ve ever had!!! I cannot emphasize enough what a picky, particular person I am, especially when it comes to food. Prior to finding Shelsky’s, I had basically given up ordering lox bagels because either the quality of salmon wasn’t up to par or the ratio of ingredients was off (WAY too much cream cheese, not enough salmon, etc.). I am a small woman, and I find that most bagel sandwiches are also way too huge to comfortably fit in my mouth lol and/or everything slips out and becomes annoying and messy to eat.

As soon as I tried a lox bagel from Shelsky’s, I new this would be the only place I could ever order one from again 🥲 Their bagels are slightly smaller than the average giant NY/NJ ones in a way that I find makes it easier to eat, perfectly chewy but also still crisp enough on the outside. Their smoked salmon is truly the best I’ve ever tasted and is as smooth as butter. The ratio of cream cheese to salmon to has been mastered, and the red onion is sliced thin enough to make Paulie from Goodfellas proud. It’s the attention to these small details that truly creates the ideal sandwich. My only wish is that they had a location in NJ where I live! As a central Jersey resident, I also appreciate them using the proper name of porkroll for their breakfast sandwich 😊

PS the manager Ethan runs a tight ship (compliment)! He is competent, charismatic, and clearly cares about what he does. I think that makes a huge difference from the top down in a food establishment. I have enjoyed chatting with him ☺“

“We catered a picnic for 25 people from them. The team went above and beyond, very communicative, thoughtfully asked how and what guests enjoy, worked with us to craft the perfect set of sandwiches… then came the actual day. They put together a very easy to transport box setup. I was just as enamored with that as I was with the food itself. Nothing shifted, spilled and arrived exactly as was packed.

The sandwiches were a huge hit with creative combinations that hit your taste buds in all the right ways. We had all ages enjoy them, from
5 yr olds to 70 yr olds. Huge thank you to the team for making my wife’s 40th picnic birthday a success!“
