“My husband and I made the long drive yesterday (2 1/2 hrs each way) from upstate NY to visit our daughter in NYC just for the day. While strolling around her neighborhood we came upon your lovely bakery and cafe and after eyeing the beautiful carrot cake in the window, we had to go in. Carrot cake is my favorite sweet treat. There were so many beautiful choices, but we got 2 slices of carrot cake to take back home with us. After the long drive back home we were really looking forward to a piece of cake and a cup of coffee. I opened one of the beautifully packed boxes, which revealed an enormous slice of yumminess!! The slice was big enough for at least 3 people. I thought I had died and gone to heaven. Everything about this cake was phenomenal. The frosting was outstanding, the cake was so flavorful and moist. It was the best we’ve ever had. We have enough left for a few days. I’m so glad we stopped in. It was a great way to end our lovely day in the city and will most certainly go back on our next trek in . I will also have to get our daughter pick up some baked goods when she’s coming home for a visit. I highly recommend Crumbly Cafe & Bakery😊😊“

“I wanted to LOVE LOVE and be super hype about my first time purchasing a cake from here but unfortunately it wasn't what I thought it was but I still give it a 4 stars because maybe it was my fault for misreading the description. I ordered the Red rosette cake apparently only sides were buttercream frosting but I assumed all of the icing would be buttercream . In our opinion ( and my fiances opinion, I bought it for his birthday) we found the red icing to be extremely bitter, no butter cream flavor whatsoever and the white part wasn't very sweet at all. We just didn't find the icing tasty at all but the inside was moist and the dulce de lece was a nice light flavor. I would say make sure you know for sure what you are ordering and ask to clarify to be sure . Other then that the cake was beautiful. I think the customer service could be more friendly but I understand business can make one be assertive at times. I also found it strange they didn't have a box big enough for the cake to properly cover it and we had to place it in the car open . Not used to that but hey, like I said beautiful cakes and clarify what you want to make sure they are on the same page with you with your expectations“

“I saw this bakery snuggled away while driving past it & knew I had to return. The inside is nice & clean. It's Filipino style desserts which is lovely. They have a large selection of dessert items to choose from.

On the weekend's they sellout fast so get here early. I had their Banana bread loaf which was my favorite of everything. It was so soft and warm, wish I'd gotten more of it.
The burnt basque cheesecake was nice & decadent. The BonBons were absolute perfection. They have a seasonal and rotating menu which always has something delicious to offer.

They have these adorable boxes to pack the food in with a colorful pink theme. The staff is kind & helpful. They have a small lot to park your car in which is appreciated. I've honestly never been to a dessert shop such as Fern & Aurora, it's a nice change from the regular ole baked goods. I highly recommend everybody to come check them out.“

My son's big day today and I took a trip here to pick up my custom strawberry cake layered with their famous lightly sweetened freshly whipped cakes. When you step inside It's as if you step back in time. My mom first took me here when I was 11 or 12 and this place still look the same. The bakery captures a lot of customers from the surrounding businesses such as the hospital. It's great to see a flow a diverse crowd visiting this Gem. I also picked up half dozen curry beef pastry and their chicken rolls. I took a bite and taste just like my first time eating them in the 1990s when I was a little boy. It’s called Sweet Lil Sweets, a small, family-owned bakery and honestly? It blew me away.

I tried the banana pudding it is comparable to magnolia bakery but better !!
creamy, smooth, real bananas, balanced to perfection. As a chef, I appreciate when something simple is done right.

The tres leches cake? Moist, rich, but still light. That kind of texture doesn’t happen by accident it takes care.

I wasn’t even planning on ordering the white hot chocolate, my boo did but yo... one sip and I was hooked. Silky, not too sweet just comforting.

The iced coffee? Strong like Zeus fresh, no bitterness. Very solid it woke me up to reality

And they even let me sample their signature cheesecake cupcake bites it was banging Creamy little flavor bombs. You already know I wanted more. And that's coming from someone who doesn't really like cake like that

Listen, this spot has heart. You can taste it in every bite. As a chef, I know how much goes into this kind of quality and they’re doing it without the spotlight.

The mango passionfruit mousse had a coconut base which was a little too sweet but the tanginess from the mousse balanced it well. Overall, it’s a decent spot to go to for those sweet cravings.“

Mom and my sisters right after the first try completely devoured it and raved about it. When food makes people happy that's when you know it's on point.

The folks at the place were very friendly, and the place was clean, as expected of a place that handles food. It's crystal clear they are dedicated to their craft.

Corn cheese bread was sooo fun. If it’s served warm; I bet you it’s fantastic but I did eat it a couple of hours after it was ordered.
The fig bread had an amazing texture to it. Light and fluffy like Portuguese bread (I did personally wish the figs were cut smaller to enjoy more evenly but that’s personal preference)

They were patient and understanding as I chose them to place my first ever cake order with and I chose correct. The cake was made within a week spand and price was very reasonable. We had palmiers, an apple tart that was rolled up, and an apricot filled triangle.
In each case, the millefeuille pastry was phenomenal. It shattered as you bit into it. Not at all stodgy or dense. The perfect level of caramelization.

Service was excellent, took a little while as it was SO busy but it was absolutely worth the wait!! Obviously amazing when locals are lined up out the door to get bagels.
We were waiting for our order and the nicest man with a New York accent asked our boys if they've ever had a fresh bagel out of the oven, we of course said No, and he gave them a fresh, hot bagel that was to die for!!
