“It's just a great neighborhood burger and beer joint. Solid lunch specials and the servers/bartenders are always friendly. They even have stand up nights and bingo parties which are a blast; the republican rallies not so much kinda wish they'd keep it neutral as we really dont need politics with our beers.“

“Ever since I was little, I would go to this restaurant so many times. I have so many fond memories. Even eating it today, it brings back memories of when my mom would take me and my siblings to eat there for dinner. At the time, they would close much later than they do now. Thankfully, I'm already walking home by 2 pm, and since I live close by, the delivery was nice and fast. The food is always delicious, generously well priced, and the customer service is always really nice. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger that came with fries, along with an extra side of onion rings. That came up to $20 on the dot, and with the portions they serve, I was more than happy with that price. I have, and I will continue to go to this amazing restaurant. I highly recommend it if you're in the area.“

“My companions and I spent a few hours in the Bronx and chose to dine at CPK because we like the convenience of Atlas Park.

After being seated by the pleasant hostess we were greeted by Ariella, our server, who seemed to perform double duty as the bartender. I was asked if I was a member of their rewards program and gave the server my phone number so she could see if I had any rewards or special offers (I didn’t).

We skipped the appetizers and focused on the lunch menu, which, like most other chain restaurants these days offers a two-item deal. I ordered the BBQ chicken salad and a mushroom/pepperoni/sausage pizza. While we waited for our entrees, the server brought us a small plate of bread and olive oil, which was a nice, unexpected treat.

I enjoyed my meal and felt that the portion and quality were worth the $13.99 price. For dessert, we ordered the butter cake and build-your-own sundae. I thought the butter cake, which comes with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream was quite good, but would’ve been better if the entire cake was as warm as the center. I still recommend it.

I enjoyed my CPK experience and would consider adding it back to my rotation.

By any regular metric, this is a 5/5. Unfortunately, this is New York. More unfortunately, they have a Michelin star. Thus, they must be judged within the strata in which they belong.

The ingredients were FRESH. This is their calling card. The carrots, the squash, the beets, the buckwheat. Kudos to their souring.

The meal is an imbalanced (to me and my table). We were craving protein, and this place highlights the produce. I will say the tastiest dish was a non meat course (mushrooms in a dashi broth)

Not top of my list, but massive respect to what they serve and what they represent.“

Barely touched my pasta with preserved lemon because I was full, but it was delicious. My daughter’s burger was iconic. The Platonic ideal of hamburgers. Coffee was also delicious. If we had not made a plan to go to La Cabral for dessert and more coffee, I am sure dessert would have been equally excellent.Service was excellent and our waitress was knowledgeable and interested in the food.The fluke reminded me of the first time I went to USC in 1988. I had a plate with raw marinated tuna, raw salmon and raw scallops. The little heaps of fish were so pretty on the plate with their contrasting colors.“

“I made a reservation here for a work dinner. The ambiance was super nice. Friendly, helpful service the whole time and amazing food. I think we got close to one of everything on the drink, appetizer and entree menus. My favorites were the rosemary margarita, shoestring fries, spicy sausage pizza, butternut squash ravioli, and the hangar steak. There was some kind of mint salad that was super good. I haven't ever tasted a salad like that before, so it was a cool experience. We did everything family style with a few people ordering pork chops or a cheeseburger for themselves. The total with all 8 of us getting multiple drinks and tons of apps + entrees shared between us plus tax and tip was $810, which is more than fair for how much we ate + drank and how good the food and service was. Will definitely come back or recommend to anyone looking for a location to host a work/birthday/celebratory dinner or date.“

We've been staying in the Franklin Guesthouse (hotel adjacent to Madre) for a couple of nights and decided to give Madre a shot - boy were we in for a treat! Firstly, shout out to Armando, who made us feel immediately welcomed with his warmth and energy! For food, we got the Frutti di Mare, Croquetas, Brussels Sprouts, Cornbread Madeleines (compliments from chef) and Chicken - massive MASSIVE props to Chef Bryan and his very talented team. To say that they cooked "well" would be the understatement of 2022. They absolutely blew our minds with top quality medley of ingredients, depth of flavor, and masterful execution in every way. Cocktails were fun and delectable, which added the perfect "pop" to the culinary rocket ship that Madre served up. Just when my wife and I were ready to call it a night, Chef Bryan and Armando were kind enough to bring out the Pot de Creme for us, which was the bow and ribbon on this very special dinner. “We ordered the cheeseburger without onion and without pickles and the burger arrived with some sort of relish on it, which left a nasty after taste, which the server informed us that he had specified that he notated the request to not have onions or pickles on the burger, but we were not able to get another burger remade since we were in a hurry to catch our flight. The way Chef Cupps teases the flavor out of vegetables and meats is just astounding. We are in heaven! We also ordered from 232 Bleecker on Christmas Eve, and the food was once again incredible. We are huge fans of Chef Cupps. She previously cooked at UnTitled at the Whitney which was our favorite restaurant in NYC.
